  1. What I'll do is if I've been playing for a while, maybe I'll pause the game and go look at some model cars, or grab a soda or something.
  2. If you have enough passion for these systems, then I think it could be worth it.
  3. My thumbs would hurt back when Gran Turismo games had more Test Course races in them. You don't have to brake for the corners at Test Course and you don't even have to lift off of the throttle, so your thumb doesn't get a rest. It's like the Talladega 500 in real life, but with thumbs instead of a right foot on the gas.
  4. First I'm saving up to fix the chassis on my Chaparral 2J. That will take 500,000 credits.
  5. I believe that I've played everything at least once before trading it in.
  6. Not so much, because whatever vehicles I get in GT games I usually use them at some point.
  7. I still regret selling my Lamborghini Miura in GT6. It will take me saving 15 million game credits to buy one. I don't even want to do the math on how many 8,500 credit Rome wins it will take to save up that much.
  8. Sometimes in NASCAR '11 The Game the spotter will speak in an incredibly accusatory tone just because you lightly scraped the wall.
  9. Test Drive 5. If you know how to get through traffic and what car to pick for what city it's really not that hard of a game.
  10. At first I didn't like when you had to press X to accelerate in Twisted Metal games, but the I remembered that in most other PlayStation diving games it works that way. I eventually warmed up to the idea of X making you go forward in Twisted Metal.
  11. I will try to stay on a certain bridge while playing the Twisted Metal 2 Antarctica level, because to much of the battlefield crumbles into the ocean otherwise and I could be trapped on the falling ice floe.
  12. I'd rather not pay for a game I've already paid for, so playing levels out of order sounds reasonable.
  13. Another thing is that in the U.S. we used to have a tradition of Saturday morning cartoons every weekend and it used to be a big deal. Even Sunday morning had cartoons, now those are a thing of the past. I wonder why some traditions have to end.
  14. I guess basements are bigger in the U.S. Also my setup is two consoles (the other two put away for the time being) out in the open on my granddad's WWII foot locker, some controllers and not too far away are two old chairs from my Massachusetts days.
  15. I don't think the new cartoon shows are that iconic anymore. I mean decades from now what of the current crop of cartoons are you going to remember?
  16. I sometimes get up every couple races to turn a light off or attend to some chore that someone else neglected.
  17. GT6. I'm really into the Peugeot RCZ right now.
  18. I'm pretty sure I only sit while gaming. I feel like that's how the games were meant to be played, but to each their own.
  19. My parents bought all four of my PlayStations. If I were more of a success I would have bought the final two myself.
  20. I also wanted the GT1 baseball cap, maybe I'll find it at an antique store someday.
  21. I almost met Terry Labonte once. I won race tickets to that New Hampshire race where Jeff Burton led all 300 laps in September, 2000 and got to listen to Terry Labonte speak in a hospitality tent on race day. I would have gotten to meet him if I asked a question, but I was too scared that my question would be dumb, but I almost met Terry Labonte.
