About eight years ago I bought NBA Live '03 from a used bookstore in Virginia. I paid IIRC 75 cents and it's now one of my all time favorite games. Try doing that with a download.

Sometimes I play Tony Hawk games just to see buildings and hear good music. Sometimes I'll create players in NBA Live games and name them after race car drivers. This is not gaming related, but I love Corvair vans. I actually dream of someone covering the theme song to NASCAR Racing 2.

I have eclectic tastes in other things too.

You should get at least one. I definitely recommend it. If you get one properly equipped it can play discs of all the first three PlayStations.

I know about reverse playability. Even though I have a '97 PlayStation, it's easier to play NBA Live '03 on my PS3s.

I celebrate the GT games of the PS2 era, which were GT3 and GT4.

To answer your question of why these haven't caught on in the U.S., I can only speak to the Northern Virginia region where I live for now. We're pretty anti-social here. I don't know why that is.

It's fun to use the turbo button in NBA Live games to make players run faster.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll stick to WRC 8 for now. I think I'm at level 8 experience already. My gaming life right now is alternating between GT6 on my PS3 and WRC 8 on my Switch. I'm happy with the game, but I'm hoping to join a new race team soon it. I'm just not a fan of the Ford Fiesta.

For $369 USD (Virginia sales tax factored in) I bought a Switch. No pictures yet, but they're coming. I only bought one game, WRC 8 and I already really like it. My Switch nickname is Celtic Fan.

One of the championships in GT games is the Polyphony Digital Cup. It's the title where you can't modify your car. I find that the Viper GTS gives you the best shot at that championship. I know this is off topic, but I think that it's a fun detail.
