  1. It depends on the circumstance. If I go to a new place to explore, I don't want to waste the effort when I can't see much. But it adds a mystical feel in a forest, and a spookiness in an urban area. If you know there are no threats around, then low visibility is annoying. But sail the seas in Black Flag when you have to maneuver islands in low visibility, or the swamps in Origins, or a river you might jump into battle any moment as in Valhalla, then low visibility is kind of fun. I love it when there is a sand storm in AC Origins, as well as in Mad Max. It just makes it all that much better. It brings immersion when traveling blind. But breaks immersion when you want to see the world. So go with the flow, and hopefully you can always go back to a place in better conditions. I always visit a place more than once anyways. But if I make it to a hard spot, I want to see the view. Or at least give me a photo mode to change the weather!

  2. I know what you mean; I try to avoid looking up game videos that I'm currently playing cause the bastards do have spoilers in the titles. I take a quick glance at the video pic that randomly pops up, and if it's a game I'm playing I refuse to read titles. Be careful if you are looking up a game song, or puzzle cheat, or anything cause you don't know what will pop up.

  3. I'm in the same boat as you and also don't use social media. If you like being at home, the only real place to meet anyone is on the internet or at work. I actually like being alone because I am my best company. I've accepted the fact that not many people like the things I like. Actually, I should say they like the things I like, but don't do the things I like. Nature is gonna weed you out if you live the single life much longer. But it's ok. I've been weeded out. I'll never get married or have children. But I personally don't mind at all. If you do mind, you better get out there. Everything will cost money to go out and meet people. And you will go out of your comfort zone. You could enroll in a fun class in a community college. That may be the best way. You can learn something and meet people. You could get a part time job somewhere fun or volunteer somewhere. My sister goes to a chess club and she is the least likely person you would think to do that, believe me. But with the pandemic, you are very limited. The only other option is to go to your local grocery store and start humpin every leg you see.

Getting truly angry is a rarity for me.  Frustrated or irritated, maybe, but outright angry, rare.  When this does happen, though, I tend to do some kind of silly things (in isolation, where supposedly no one can see or hear me), like just start growling in angry bursts repeatedly or punching my leg or my furniture or something.  One time I went outside and started smashing my fist into the brick wall and cut up my hand a bit (admittedly this wasn't very smart lol.  But that was ages ago).

I hear you. I fractured my hand punching a metal horse trailer. It's just stupid. I was under the influence of alcohol though. If you are gonna start punching something, make sure the material is softer than bone.

Best thing is prevention. Stay clear of anything that makes you angry. Usually an outburst happens when there is more than one occurrence that finally sets a person off. Pay attention to what makes you angry and steer clear. Even if it is a family member, avoid them for a while. Talk to them about what makes you mad when you aren't mad. And if they don't stop, just completely avoid them even if you live with them. If it is your spouse, you are completely screwed.

  5. I roll my t-shirt sleeves up with a packs of cigarettes and grease my hair back with a left earring; I drive a motorcycle with a black leather jacket; I have a tattoo of a teardrop under my eye; always have a toothpick in my mouth;

nawww, just kidding. I sport thongs at the beach. Naww, not that either. I guess none. I was never really a follower. I was a natural born leader. Naww, joking again. I have natural holes in my jeans cause they always get snagged on fences around here. People think I'm trying to be stylish, but it just gets torn easily. Those who make the jeans and buy hole jeans are trying to be like me lol.

  6. Facebook has a decision to make in 2023. With republicans now calling for countries to ban the social media giants after Nigeria's president banned Twitter for silencing the president's violation of abusive behavior, Facebook can either cower in 2023 for fear of republican rule, or they can put all their bets on the table and stand for democracy. Because if Facebook gives in, the GOP will turn it into a state run platform. GOP war on democracy, war on social media, war on corporate America, war on culture; yep if it aint a nazi yet, I aint got no clue to wut one is.

Well they have a few things they fear, which is why they're pushing censorship. They fear democracy, equality, freedom, the bill of rights, peaceful resolution to disagreements, and above all Democrats, just to name a few things on their long list. So far though, that's unfortunately not stopping the Nazi train.

They don't fear those things, they just fear not holding power because they even said themselves that they won't ever win another election because they are a minority. Their only way to win is to set the stage to cheat elections. Remember they stopped all election security bills when they had power; they called on foreign hostile countries to help them win elections; they have no policy except to please racist agendas; Their only motive is to restrict voting; they will stage another coup if they lose again; they are traitors. They are nazis. They are corrupt. They are hostile. They are domestic terrorists. We know exactly what they will do if they ever gain power again. It will be the end of democracy after 250 years if they gain power in 2024. And that is no exaggeration. They will attack all social media. They already have their state run nazi news network. Any future voting will be fake like Putin's fake democracy. It's gonna get ugly because unlike Russia, the USA is extremely diverse with the majority of whites who are republican are a mixed bag of racism. They are klan, nazi, confederates, boogaloo, qanon; and a majority of them would love for a genocide. It will happen little by little with mass incarceration. They will carry out more and more public executions and legalize it across states. Eventually they will form concentration camps. And the genocide begins. And that is without a civil war. With a civil war, the genocide will be swift if they are in control of government during the war. History will call them out for genocide and they will forever deny it happened.

  8. Wouldn't having a reset button be the same as time travel? It would be cool to go through life and finish it, and just like in games we can go back to whatever chapter we want to play or relive. And if we could reach all achievements in the game or in life, then it will be saved. We can change the stats, story endings, get wealth, whatever. But we have to go through life first to fully experience it whether good or bad. Then go back to change what we want once we reach the afterlife. That way we can know the full experience of things. Cause you never know if a mistake or some tragic moment didn't change your life for the better, or change it in some way where you never would have met your spouse, or become a war hero. Who knows what the outcome would be if we stopped and reset every moment we didn't like. Who knows what people you never would have met, what pets you never would have had, what relationships that never would have happened. So to go through a full life first would be interesting.

  9. The orange blob of doodoo is banned till 2023. An interesting thing I saw today was that the Nazi said that he should have banned Twitter while he was pretending to be a president, as he agrees with Nigeria’s president banning Twitter for violating ‘abusive behavior policy.’ And now the twice impeached bafoon is calling for countries to ban Facebook and Twitter. The world is becoming a very dangerous place when these trends trickle and trickle and trickle without consequences. They need something to fear to bring back the balance.

I'd say either a dragon or a phoenix because just imagine seeing a fiery bird flying throw the sky with it's might roar. Also imagine a dragon's roar! What's your pick and why?

Maybe dragons would keep mankind in check. But what will happen when dragons hoard all the wealth? Humans will find a way to enslave them or promise them all the riches to annihilate cities. Or steal their eggs  and raise them to do bad. Humans need something to fear. We need a predator out there that feeds on thousands of humans a day. If we can get 20 million humans eaten a year, that would be good population control. That would be 200 million a decade. Sounds mighty tasty don’t it?

I think the current climate in the USA and the clear division happening between corporations and party lines is more symbolic than a financial approach

That came out wrong; the ones taking a stance for rights is symbolic because they aren’t donating to protect rights such as voting; but those in favor of voting restrictions don’t go public, they just use their money to talk. So it seems there is fear to use money to stand for rights, and fearless to use money opposing those rights.

  12. I completely agree with you on this. There is only one way to dissolve most problems with corporate America; that is to ban lobbying. That way if they ever take a political stance, then it will be up to the consumer to boycott the product or not, and not have to worry about their money going into government to support what someone is against. The corporations can donate their money for aid out of good conscience and a tax break, but never to a puppet and a bill. There is a loophole though, because even if lobbying was banned, they could still donate to a bad cause outside of government. The most important thing is ban lobbying and empower consumers. There should be greater awareness for consumers to see where corporate money goes. This is exactly where capitalism fails, when they are allowed to market for a cause, get money from victims, and donate it to government to pass a bill to fuck over the people they marketed for in the first place. So that person’s money is used against them.
And they really are hypocrites for not helping more around the world. The USA is symbolic though and if they take a stance here, I guess they feel it resonates to their other locations. Think about the gaming world though how it has locations across the world but many times act independently. Do corporations have separate funding and decision making for another country? Can the CEO pull funds from Israeli branch and donate to aid civilians in either Israel or Palestine? I think the current climate in the USA and the clear division happening between corporations and party lines is more symbolic than a financial approach. But I say just please stop the flow of their money into government. That is a nose dive into the reckless pits of greedy hell.

Some years ago I might have believed that might be the case, but not now.  These day's it's better in terms of marketing strategy to be pro LGBTQ+ (or at the least look like you are), especially during pride month.  It doesn't really make great them great bedfellows with anti LGBTQ+ organisations either since they will still object to the bi character being in the game in the first place!

Microsoft have a pride sale going on right now on XBox and PC and are even giving away Tell Me Why, a games heavy on Trans gender themes for free.  I'm not saying these companies necessary care about LGBTQ+ rights or the community (the almost certainly don't) but it's better to look you do because if you didn't your the only one that's ignoring the giant rainbow coloured elephant in the room and that's a very bad look.

With that in mind I can see what WB were trying to do.  Shine a torch on an bisexual character that they have in their game which itself isn't really a bad thing...  BUT HOLY SHIT did they not think it through!  I don't believe they had any anti LGBTQ+ messages or intentions in mind, I was just a very stupid idea that they didn't properly think out.

It is good marketing to support that community, but always consider where their money trail goes. McDonalds, Walmart, and Amazon are in hot water for showing support for LGBTQ+ and yet, they have donated to politicians actively working against that very community.

  14. When you are that out of touch with whoever your target audience is, that is really bad business and they should take a re-evaluation on their marketing department and all who approved it. How can you not have known this will cause negative feedback? Innocent demonization? That happens all too often and repetitively to be considered innocent at this point. Lack of sympathy? Unable to predict consequences? I get that it’s a fighting game, but stay out of it if you feel that victimization is honored by making the victimized a challenge to fight. New ivy gear  or something would have been appropriate, or play Ivy with super strength and abilities. These mistakes are a pattern that needs to be shattered. A pattern with no end because it is an illness. It’s a mental illness to not be able to sympathize. It’s degradation of humanity to not know if something this obvious would be offensive. And I do believe they tried to balance advocate and business, and sorely fucked it up. Lack of common sense? Maybe. Things I have seen in this pattern of unsympathetic behavior from those at the top, borders on negligence. And deniers will of course say it’s just a video game. And that pattern lives on in society till it all crumbles into tyranny. And when we go back to witches getting burned at the stake, and slobbering fools throwing bread, then the realization sets in; that is who these deniers are.

I love a good hot cup of black coffee. But I also love my iced tea. I set out a jug of water with 4 or 5 bags of tea in it, leave it in the sun for a day, and I have a full jug of tea in the evening. Sun tea is the best. But a nice hot coffee is right up there next to it. I honestly can't pick one over the other.

Wow, I got to try that. How long in the sun? Is it covered?
