Manchin comes through in the end and votes yes for the bill but the voting rights bill still failed with 50/50 votes in senate. This is how our politics will permanently look from here on out. Even though democrats have the presidency, house, and senate, they have no power. Democracy died today.

I think looking after yourself is a westernized culture because there are a number of people in different cultures that put family first. They take care of their parents and live with them; marriages are based more on loyalty rather than love and last longer and usually won't divorce. Westernized culture puts personal success before family while other cultures put family before personal achievement. To them family is success more than career or money. So I think capitalism, pursuit of personal achievement, career over family, individualism, all lead to unintended disloyalty in personal relationships. But these things also enables a democracy where people have personal or human rights. And in other places they are more passive, tend to live in authoritarianism, but hold family tradition.

As a side note, your other post with the gambling problem you mentioned you drank a bottle of whiskey, so you should seek both gambling and alcohol addiction help. Because your gambling problem won't go away if you also got a drinking problem. Or maybe it was a one time thing, I don't know. Never good to mix the two. If you got a tolerance level to hold a lot of whiskey makes me think it's not new. Cut your losses and seek help. Your job sometimes has an independent hotline you can call that can help you find resources if you want to stay anonymous. Or they may even have a program to help you through the use of your insurance if you need psychological help, maybe even marriage counciling, or rehab where you can take a leave of absence to get help.

You must have stayed in the animus too long. You can get the bleeding effect or hallucinations if you do. I think it's one of the best series out there.

I’ve been thinking more and more about loyalty. I’ve grown up without a loyal family. Family is supposed to be the most loyal thing. And when you don’t have it, imagine what that does to the psyche. And then you have fake patriots claiming to be loyal to country when they are the complete opposite. Loyalty is what holds marriages together. It holds country together. It holds families together. Love is supposed to be the result of loyalty. You don't love first and become loyal later.

I've been trying to play Legends Mode in Ghost of Tsushima and it says to download the free DLC which the system says has already been downloaded. I looked for help and supposedly I have to restore the license in account management setting. I guess that restores all the DLC bought digitally. Is it safe?

I don’t know any but it’s scary to think there may be ghosts around. If someone believes in religion, doesn’t that automatically make them obligated to believe in ghosts? So half the world should believe it’s real and should pursue ghost hunting instead of searching for Noah’s Ark which is made of wood and decayed by now.

Obscure was really good. I played Aftermath, so I don't know how the first one was. But games like that need some kind of remake. Obscure and The Suffering need a ps5 version.

And republicans are already trying to whitewash the holiday saying trump should get the credit for it. And he does get credit, but not for any good reason. His administration had known white nationalists in it and this is a psychological tactic what they did. They wanted to hold a rally on June 19th in Tulsa Oklahoma where blacks were massacred in 1921. And we all know their rallies are racist bigotry. And that's why there was backlash against trump for trying that, which he cancelled. Set this straight and clear-the republicans had only one intention to hold a rally on that day at that place; to please their racist base and intimidate blacks. And besides, it was Biden who made it a holiday, not trump.

June 19th is officially recognized nationally and signed into affect by Biden as the day of independence for black Americans when in June 19, 1865 after the civil war, the Union soldiers declared the independence of blacks from slavery in Galveston Texas. Why Galveston? Because it is the farthest south the soldiers had to go and carve a path of independence for blacks as the southern strongholds still refused to give them freedom even when the war ended. All this time blacks have been celebrating the 4th of July as an independence that their ancestors didn't even have till more than a century after the country's independence from England. USA independence was in 1776 and black independence from slavery was 1865. And even after that blacks endured oppression and segregation and didn't get full rights till the 1960's civil rights era. And today we are seeing that same oppressive pattern that has inflicted them and their ancestors their entire existence in America. So today, blacks can celebrate their independence in a new light and I hope all of us celebrate with them as they have always celebrated the independence from England. And this is a holiday where everyone gets the day off work and some even the Friday before it. I'm very happy to share this holiday with them.

Give them rights and education to be prosperous in all walks of life. Success and prosperity brings about the greatest peace.
