  1. I occasionally watch the bonus features depending on how much I enjoyed the movie. For example, I loved Alien: Covenant and Prometheus so it was one of the few blu-rays where I went back and watched the commentary and bonus featurettes.
  2. Bargain for a great console! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N4NBHPM?tag=22
  3. I’m not a huge fan of Hacienda and Morocco. Neither have quite clicked with me yet. Still think the old classic maps are the best.
  4. It's not looking good at the moment...
  5. I'd love to see Xbox do a handheld but I'm probably in the minority (I adore handhelds). I can't see MS doing it, though. I think they're gonna be doubling down on the next Xbox (Scarlet is the codename, right?) But, yeah, if they released an Xbox handheld, I'd probably get one.
  6. Aye, the trailer looks super promising!
  7. I'm loving the hardcore MP modes, too. I sometimes find some of the regular MP modes very "spongey" atm -- basically, the enemies sponge bullets a little too much for my liking. Hardcore definitely helps alleviate this. Thanks for commenting!
  8. Awesome game and good remaster: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8167330?utm_campaign=11553376&cmpid=COJUN&cjsurferid=853604681346437869%3AllBJ4iPVB9Ub&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=Pepper+Deals+LTD&utm_source=CJ&cjevent=f81175d5ec2e11e88166001a0a180510&catalogId=10001&storeId=10151&_%24ja=tsid%3A11674|prd%3A1546795&utm_term=1453124&referredURL=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F8167330&referrer=COJUN&krypto=J6Roq29uyVVYVxaEscQN4P5D%2FT%2F2f%2Bxm7ARf7hkR5OAeFE4H%2Bo2FV5m0Qo9b%2BVQRf%2BOb6TZNrVQH CEj5wPfzqBchWaJwB%2BEjjlxJq%2FWuA3k%3D
  9. Solid deal here at Tesco: https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/301052587?source=awin&awc=7052_1542654458_9d040cb1edd350b4e1c0b8dd5b7362b8&sc_cmp=aff*awin*ghs*HotUKDeals_47868&utm_medium=ghs&utm_source=affiliate_window&utm_campaign=aff*HotUKDeals_47868&dclid=CKLIotiT4d4CFQ9FGwodtNwGpQ
  10. Silent Hill has always struck me as an impressive setting. Perhaps not in its grandiosity, but more in how it revels in the normal/ordinary and twists our preconceptions of a "normal" seaside town into this nightmarish otherworldly HP Lovecraft-esque vision. It's incredible, really. Every time I see fog, I think of Silent Hill now. That's the sign of an iconic game.
  11. Here's a few more contestants who could arguably make the cut for me: Ben Folds Five, Weezer, Meat Loaf, Coldplay, Counting Crows, Beck, Air, The Strokes, The Virgins, Daft Punk, Aimee Mann, and Blur. (Sorry for the cavalcade of bands!!!!)
  12. Tough question. My contenders would be Radiohead, The Libertines, The Beatles, Super Furry Animals, Belle & Sebastian and Neon Neon.
  13. Octopath Traveler, God Of War and Detroit Become Human are my three personal games of the year so far.
  14. I tend to gravitate towards smaller, tighter maps. I think that's why Nuketown and Summit (from Black Ops) are two of my favourite maps ever. The downside is that spawn killing can be an issue on smaller maps. But generally, I feel that smaller maps have a more kinetic energy/flow to them.
  15. Oh, and I love the Pyramid, Gateway and Refinery maps from Aliens Vs Predator (2010). I love how Pyramid's map moves and transforms every minute or so!
  16. Black Ops 1's Summit, Nuketown, Firing Range and Jungle maps are all iconic. Glad they made a return in Black Ops 4!
  17. Best game of the generation right here: https://www.base.com/buy/product/bloodborne-ps4-playstation-hits-ps4/dgc-bldbrnpshitps4.htm?1=1&awc=2694_1542536366_8e5052f33ccedffd02cec98bd86be22c
  18. Always wanted to play Alex Kidd growing up. I remember asking for a Master System with Alex Kidd built in for Christmas. My dad said we couldn’t afford it. I cried for a few days and was pretty gutted. I think I played it a few times in shops at the time and was pretty enamoured with it.
  19. Agree with Alyxx and Katri above. Well directed cut-scenes and a focus on a strong narrative give games a cinematic quality. I often think third person perspective games are a little more filmic than first person, but both can be cinematic. Uncharted, The Last Of Us, the recent Tomb Raider titles and David Cage games are good examples of cinematic video game experiences.

    Listening?

I usually use my phone in the car on the way to work/errands, but I also occasionally listen to cd albums, too.
  21. Welcome to the forums, dude! 🙂

    Pixels

My daughter enjoyed Pixels but I've not seen it yet. Will try and watch it soon (it's on Netflix, I think). It's got a helluva cast.
  23. Not tried it yet but colour me intrigued! I love red wine, so I may pick some up 😛
