Yep, tonally I think the filmmakers went with the right choice with Keanu. His super cool persona and almost robotic delivery fits the movie really well. I actually really like him as an actor. Plus, he's very physical, as shown in his subsequent John Wick movies, which was used to great effect in The Matrix flicks.

Totally. I think that Dark Souls is thematically and structurally built around this whole "suffering together" design philosophy. An easy mode would definitely undermine this particular game.

You’re right, I think there is a nuance that gets conflated here: difficulty and accesibility. Frankly, I wouldn’t mind a developer adding an easy mode to their game, but only if it’s not detrimental to the core experience. Thus, I wouldn’t mind an easy mode being added to a game if it doesn’t undermine the game’s vision. I know it sounds weird, but Dark Souls’ difficulty/challenge is part of the experience. I genuinely think it would take a part of what makes that game special away if an easy mode was added and undermine the game as a whole. But Dark Souls is quite a unique example. Adding an easy mode to most other games, I don’t have a problem with, though. Interesting discussion, y’all!

The last GTA I really played was San Andreas and I LOVED the soundtrack! Cruising around the city, sunset in the backdrop, with the wind in my hair, blazing Willie Nelson was the BEST.

Off the top of my head, my all-time favourite game soundtrack would either be Silent Hill 2 or FTL. The former for its dread-inducing atmosphere, and the latter for really hitting that space ambient tone the game so ardently strives for. I do adore the Skyrim and Fallout soundtracks, too, though.

This is a pretty comprehensive list. I think I'd *possibly* add DOTA 2 and League Of Legends - thay're pretty popular still. And maybe Anthem and Destiny 2, too. Granted, those latter two would be at the bottom of a list like this, but there's still quite a few people playing them.

I just don’t think a creator/artist *needs* to cater to everyone. Don’t get me wrong, accesibility is important. But forcing a game to be for everyone is inherently an impossible task anyway. The vision of the creator should be the most important thing when creating a piece of art.
