Blu Ray is superior, for sure. I do think DVDs will be around for a few more years. Mainly because many people own a DVD player and they’re still quite popular. I don’t mind the quality of DVD. But personally I mostly buy Blu Ray as it’s undeniably a crisper image and improved audio.

Outlast was a pretty jumpy game for me. And Resident Evil 7 in VR made me jump A LOT.

Not heard of Pamali. Will check it out. I agree about eastern horror being more scary, for sure. That new game, Devotion, is supposed to be scary as hell. They made Detention, and that was creepy. Also early Japanese-developed Silent Hill games are scarier than later western-developed titles.

A lot like movies, sex scenes in video games are usually clunky and awkward as hell. The worst offender for me is probably Quantic Dreams' Heavy Rain when Madison and Ethan get it on in the shower (adored the rest of the game, though). Any games you can remember with super awkward sex scenes crowbarred in?

The kill screen in Pac-Man left me wanting more (JOKES!). I'd say that the Fallout: New Vegas was slightly underwhelming, especially pre-patch as the game would just end after some voiceover and a few static images (absolutely loved the rest of the game, though).

I usually prefer first-person shooting but there are lots of exceptions to the rule. I do love third-person shooters, too, basically. It really depends on the game. In general, I prefer MP shooters to be first-person and story-based games to be third-person.

Fair dos, Capcom are on fire at the moment. The latest Devil May Cry title is doing really well reviews-wise, too.

I love indie games. They’re the best for coming up with new, innovative gameplay ideas that are too risky in the AAA space. Sure, some are rubbish, but there are a lot of hidden gems to be found in the indie ecosystem. From Undertale, to FTL, to Hotline Miami, to Rogue Legacy, to Inside and Limbo, there’s a ton of great indie games out there to experience.

I’m super pumped for it! Obsidian are a very talented and experienced developer and yes, Fallout New Vegas is incredible and indeed a testament to this. Can’t wait!
