I’m a big fan of a few movie licenced games. Namely, Aliens Vs Predator, though The Thing and Star Was: The Old Republic were great, too.

Not really tbh. I tend to mix up the games I'm playing if I start to feel bored. When I'm in work (I'm a teacher), I occasionally hear children say "I'm bored." I say to them: "That's what boring people say." And they promptly become un-bored (that's a real word, honest!) There's an art to keeping yourself entertained imho.

So tempted to pick up an NES mini console. I've heard the controller length is super short, but the list of games looks pretty damn tantalising. It's around £50 at the moment in the UK. Has anyone else got one? What're your thoughts on the console?

Metroid Prime 4 is top of my list, though it'll likely not release in 2019. It'd be nice to see Dark Souls 2 come over (which is pretty likely). And I'd love a port of Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas.

My backlog is out of control and I'm *trying* to get on top of it. I tend to play games which I'm in the mood to play, though. For example, I know that God Of War is probably going to be my game of the year, but I'm still yet to finish it fully as I'm saving it for when I'm in the mood for it. I've spent a crazy amount of time in FO 76, though I know it's not the best game of the year. I'm just in the mood for a world like FO 76. So that's where i've been spending my limited amount of time gaming as of late. At the end of the day, you should game how you want to. There's really no right or wrong way, you know?

For the most part, I'm not a huge lover of vehicles in shooters. From tedious on-rails sections, to having to learn a new controller layout for each and every vehicle, to serious balancing issues, I tend to gravitate towards more infantry-centric shooters. That said, there's always exceptions to the rule (I quite like vehicles in BO 4's Blackout mode to help players get around the giant map), but I've always preferred no vehicles in my shooters.

Aye, I still consider Oblivion as the best in the ES series. I bought Morrowind a year or so ago (I really want to play it!) but it’s quite old and unfortunately doesn’t run on my PC. 😫

Cyberpunk 2077 Days Gone The Last Of Us Part II

Nintendo games are notoriously more expensive - in general - than other platforms' games. It's probably more of a xmas deal than a reflection on how well it's selling. Pretty sure it's selling quite well. I mean, it's Pokemon. You could write Pokemon on a napkin and sell it for a fiver to hardcore Ninty fans (jokes!)

Obsidian are developing a sci-fi open world action-RPG. It's penciled in to release on PS4/XB1/PC next year. These are the same guys who brought us Fallout New Vegas. Anyone else pumped?

A mixture of both is more my cup of tea. It kinda annoys me when every decision is grey. It kinda gives me anxiety when decisions I’ve made in a video game can consistently be viewed as unethical.

I think I'm gonna just wait for PS5 rather than upgrade to a PS4 Pro. I'm tempted by an Xbox One X but it simply doesn't have the games to justify it.

I'd probably go for Clementine from The Walking Dead series and Ellie from The Last of Us. They both soldier on and get shit done even when the world around them is falling apart.
