It is. The bastard died in 2000. It still surprises me how much tension left my body, and how much weight was lifted off my shoulders realizing that I no longer had to worry about how bad the next beating I was going to get would be. I could put that rifle back on the gun rack, and have my bed to myself. Him dying was one of that absolute best things that ever happened in my life. And I can count the good things on one hand and still have fingers left over.

I did ok. I got 16/20. One that I missed was how many Oscars it won. I had no clue, so I just took a shot. Another was that I simply couldn't remember who it was that had permanent hearing loss from the elevator scene. Since Edward Furlong was just a kid I guessed him, but was wrong on that one too.
But all in all, I didn't do bad.

I'll definitely check it out because I always love when a game decides to implement some kind of philosophy into its design instead of the generic point/click/shoot mechanic with no meaningful story behind it.

Inside’s story is brilliant because it’s very “Show Don’t Tell”. Meaning there’s very little narrative exposition. It’s mostly environmental storytelling where you have to put the jigsaw pieces together yourself. Much like Bioshock, really. (You should definitely check out Bioshock at some point, dude!)

It isn't a bad game, I just have so many playing that I somehow didn't remember it lol.

I'm in a similar boat tbh. I played it for a couple of weeks and enjoyed my time with it. May give it a DL again just to check out this new content. 

I haven't played it in about 7 months if I'm being honest. I'll give the new DLC a look and see what they've added this time around..

Aliens - 10/10

I totally forgot about Inside - behind its somewhat cartoony appearance is a rather deep story. I haven't played any of the Bioshock games yet but Bioshock Infinite is always mentioned whenever the topic of philosophical games arise.

Off the top of my head, Spec Ops The Line, INSIDE, Bioshock and Silent Hill 2 are some of the most philosophical, heady and thought-provoking games I've ever played.

Predator (1987) - 9.5/10

Spec Ops: The Line does show the fallacy of Walker who in a desperate attempt to "save" Konrad, killed the refugees he was supposed to save along with a ton of other innocent people. When he finds Konrad's decomposed body and realizes that he was the cause of everything in Dubai, the first thing Walker says is " I never meant to hurt anyone." By the end of the game, you realize that Walker is broken man and will have to live with what he did for the rest of his life.

Inside, the game has lot of deep meanings that aren't easy to understand, there are lot of theories behind the main story of the game, but there are no official ones coming from the devs themselves

I do remember you told us of your obsession with trophies when you were younger and many gamers like different aspects of games so I can't knock it because I was like that once.
 

All platinums are pretty different, yeah. Oh, and I do think achievements are cool too. I quite like getting trophies and cheevs.
Yeah, I can see myself going that way one day. These days, I sometimes look at a trophy list before playing the game, which is probably not a great thing due to spoilers etc. That said, if a game is really good and doesn’t have trophies, I still would happily play it. It just depends from game to game.

It really depends on the game - In some games those trophies may vital to your progression while in others, it serves as more of an afterthought. I don't mind achievements at all but I primarily play games to enjoy the experience nowadays.

I say it can be very impoertant depending on the game, I mean in Valheim  you have to get heads trophies 😛 then again that's that game. But like I said depends on the game to the point that yes it can be a wast or not. I mean it's like achievements, some want it, others do not care and see it's pointless. 

How'd I forget Manhunt where you were on some kind of twisted gameshow and you had to survive - It was brutal! Thrill Kill was banned but I did play it in a demo. It did have a lot of gore in it admittedly but in my opinion, it was never quite as violent as MK. 

I thought it was very well done. They took an iconic property and put a more mature spin on it. I'm not sure how well it will do, since it's on an obscure platform and it's really designed to appeal to the kind of people who watched Karate Kid when they were young (and are now dealing with the adulthood issues that the show involves).
That being said, not even a cameo for Elizabeth Shue? Come on guys... she could use the work.
