It's been a while since I was gripped on a game to be honest and couldn't pull myself away from it. I would have to say that the last game I played that had me gripped was Destiny 2 with the Witch Queen DLC. After getting that DLC I spent hours up on hours on Destiny 2 going through the new expansion and just having a blast.

Which PlayStation One cases did you prefer? Long box or jewel case?
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Playstation
Yes I remember how bad the cases were for damaging the manuals. Wasn't the most ideal if you were someone who wanted to keep their games in good condition including the manuals as any time you took them out and went to put them back in again, they would some how get caught and end up damaged. -
Yeah I do like the random feature on Fortnite for skins. Gives you the chance to have a random skin from your saved lockers each time you jump in a game. It was a very nice addition by Epic Games. I think I know which skin you are on about but the name escapes me, it is a good skin!

Yeah it does seem that even though many keep going back to GTA they do seem to be too burned out on it to keep playing. A new game in the series really can not come soon enough but aside from the leaks last year, nothing else has been mentioned as to when we will see the next game, GTA VI yet. Can only hope it's sooner rather than later.

Do you feel Apex Legends could be a game that dies soon?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
They do still update it but it's been the quality of the updates and the changes made to the game that has had people worried it would seem. It does still have quite a big player base so in that way it will still live but many are concerned that if the quality of the updates and changes continues to lack, more people will leave the game. -
Yeah, a lot of people who came to the game after no build was released and realized there were certain skins were quite gutted to find out they were battle pass exclusives. Many have voiced their opinions about Epic considering releasing older battle passes so that ones people missed or didn't complete would have the chance to go back and play through them. Whilst that would be a cool idea, I feel it would be difficult with the quests and such.

This was a game I missed if I am honest but from what you describe, it sounds like a game I would have definitely played and would have had fun doing so. From the video, the movement looks like a game I would struggle with at first but with patience I would more than likely be able to get on with it.

Which PlayStation One cases did you prefer? Long box or jewel case?
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Playstation
I much preferred the smaller, fatter jewel cases to be honest, I though the longer thinner ones were just ugly looking and were more difficult to store as well because they were longer. I feel the smaller jewel cases also looked more professional as well compared to the long thin ones. -
As much as I would love to see Nintendo release PC games, the chances of them doing so are very slim as they tend to want to stick with their own games and be unique in that aspect which makes sense as that means they have an advantage over having different games than what are available on say Xbox and PlayStation as well.

I do remember these, yes but I never had one myself but I knew people that did have one. They always used to say how much they really enjoyed them and from their experience of them they did see worth it to own for sure. Something like this for Sega would definitely be amazing to see.

As much as I love the Nintendo Switch currently, I would absolutely love to see a newer Switch with better hardware where games could run just as well as they do on the Xbox and PlayStation. That would really open Nintendo up for more people I feel and would also help them with sales of their consoles a lot more than now. Don't get me wrong, the Nintendo Switch did sell and it sold well but something with a lot better hardware would probably be received by so many more.

Have you ever had an accident whilst playing VR?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Virtual Reality
That is understandable. I have seen videos of little bumps and knocks but then I have seen ones of people full force hitting someone, falling over, whacking into the TV and all kinds. VR is great as long as you remember that you have different surroundings away from the game you are playing and seeing. Plenty of space as well! -
Yeah Battlefield 2042 I had high hopes for but it really was a let down to be honest, was such as shame as Battlefield really is a good game if done right but this one, it had so much missing.
-
Yeah, I noticed you can get a lot of trolls in the game now who have a lot of weapons and equipment that you can not compete with and it can ruin the game experience which is a shame. I tried the races a few times myself and I did really enjoy that.

What has been your favorite Call of Duty map to date?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
I myself would definitely say to give Black Ops 3 a go. I was skeptical myself about the jet packs and such and the movement in that game when it was released but that has been the best COD I have played to date, I spent so much time on that game and if I was able to, I would go back to it in a heartbeat. -
I agree, both the first and second game were both paid games. I remember buying Destiny 2 myself when it first launched in 2016 and then I heard it was going free to play. I guess in a sense it does make sense as they do have to make money somehow, I think it was the way they announced things that many were annoyed with when they said they were going free to play. As long as I play it I will buy the DLC if I can afford it.

Have you played Halo Infinite since the somewhat failed launch?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
That is very true. I do feel that many are just tired of the as you say, same old and that is making people feel burned out by it and they are ending up not playing as much as they used to. I will admit I remember when I played Halo 3, I played that for months and had so much fun. As much as I have played Halo Infinite I haven't had the same excitement or urge to want to play like I did Halo 3 and even Reach and ODST. -
Which game can you go back to over and over again and not get tired of?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
I wouldn't say Pokemon games were something I would go back to but I feel I missed out on the Pokemon games on Gameboy as I never fully understood them and my brothers never took the time out to help me learn them. I would love to go back and try to learn them now if I could but getting hold of the games and the Gameboy now would either be difficult or very expensive. -
What has been your most favorite Call of Duty weapon to date?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
Oh I remember the Spas 12 from OG MW2, it was my favorite shot gun in that game but I do agree, it's very difficult to find a decent shotgun in COD nowadays, I always feel pretty disappointed by many of them. -
Which Harry Potter games have you played and which has been your favorite?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
I would absolutely love to see Quidditch World Cup on newer consoles for sure. I feel that game could be amazing with how online gaming has progressed so far since that was first released. Being able to go against other people in a game like this would be a lot of fun! -
It is a quite easy game to get hold of 🙂 free to play game and I believe it's available on Xbox, PC and PlayStation and if I remember rightly, Nintendo Switch as well 🙂

Do you think free online multiplayer games will become more frequent?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
This is something I have noticed too. Fortnite and PUBG were really the ones that made the free online multiplayer a thing and how they did things was unique and then Warzone came in and as much as they put their own swing on it, it was pretty much the same as what PUBG and Fortnite had already done. Then you had Apex Legends who again, did pretty much the same things and it's just been the same ever since. Aside from games like Fall Guys, most are pretty much the same. We need something more unique for sure. -
I agree, they do things a little bit differently to other platforms and all too often it can be confusing with how they do things. I know many people have been able to make a living on there which is great and makes you realize it is possible if you have something to offer that is unique and people want to see.

Do you feel battle passes are just the norm now in games?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
I honestly did not know some $60+ games do have ads to be honest, I knew about battle passes as Call of Duty has one that is available for Warzone and also the Multiplayer side of things but if you are not into Warzone, you are technically paying the price tag and then having to pay for the battle pass as well, that is pure greed. But ads as well on games that price? That is shocking and definitely a greed I never thought some game publishers would ever sink to.
