I think we all go through a phase like that where we may be good at a certain game and we instantly believe we are pros at video games. I used to be the same when I was younger, if I was really good at a game or I did well in a game I would instantly think I was a pro even though I wasn't all that great at all. LOL

I'd be okay with the hardwire as how I have my set up I am already hardwired with my Xbox so I would just switch that hard wire out to the OG Xbox and then be able to take it from there. I don't think I still have many games left if at all now though, just the console so I would have to grab some games if I was able to if I wanted to check this out again.

This is true and with that being the case and it being as close as it is to being a portable Xbox and even with the controller being so similar, that could be the reason Xbox haven't decided to jump on the wants of a portable console. Steam deck being affordable as well, it could be that Xbox wouldn't be able to compete with the price as well. It may be something a lot of us want to see but if it's not viable in the eyes of Xbox and Microsoft we probably will not see anything.

I agree, they do seem to be lacking on any really good announcements at all which is a shame as I always remember when you were excited for things like this and they would be heavily advertised, so much so you wouldn't be able to miss that they were on. It's not a good look when they come together with so many studios and then don't really have anything to announce at all that is new and fresh.

I too had no idea that a trailer had dropped or even that there was one in development. As you say, the trailer doesn't give away too much but if they are still working on it which is more than likely the case, that will be why. Kind of excited to see what they bring with this game and if they manage to nail it on the head and give the fans what they want.

What do you think is the worst pay to win video game?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
You know it's bad when they don't even hide it anymore and they just let it be out in the open like it's normal. I guess that comes with so many people giving into their greed on games though, after a while they become too confident and they end up not even trying to hide it anymore. -
This is a good way to balance it out. There does seem to be quite a split when it comes to jet packs and wall running between players of Call of Duty and if there was a choice between different playlists with jet packs and wall running and no jet packs and wall running that would be one way to combat the issue and give everyone something they wanted.

Oh for sure. If I try to multitask on anything at all I get myself easily confused so even if I was to have a second monitor, having two games running at the same time would be too much for me and I would probably still only have one open at any time and have something not game related on the other monitor. Running two games my PC wouldn't handle at the moment either way but it would probably handle a game and something up on a browser on the second screen.

When do you think we'll see the very first game made via AI?
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
With the way technology is moving I wouldn't be surprised to be honest if we saw AI making games to be honest. AI is always being worked on in some way and I can guarantee that there are tests probably happening now that we don't know about. It's definitely something I believe we will see in our lifetime for sure, it's not a matter of if but when at this point. Going to be interesting to see how it works out when we do see it. -
I don't believe you there is a version of Minecraft for the Chromebook unfortunately which is a shame but there are ways that you can get Minecraft on the Chromebook and that is by installing Linux on your Chromebook. If you Google play Minecraft on Chromebook you should get a result explaining how to install Linux and install Minecraft so you can play it on your Chromebook 🙂 I hope that helps.

I know the feeling about the time to do it. So very little time and not enough hours in the day to do everything.

What do you think is the worst pay to win video game?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
This is very true. Most mobile games have it set with in game purchases and a lot that are pay to win but then they make it so difficult to progress through that it's almost like they are pushing you to purchase things. If I can't get past it after a certain amount of time I just never go back, refuse to pay for anything that is pay to win. -
That is fully understandable that you would feel that way. I too sometimes feel that way about playing new games that I will be made fun of for it if I don't know how to play or what I am doing. I think because so many people judge before knowing you and that you are new to the game, it will always be something that is in the back of your mind. I try to think past all that and think to myself, if I am having fun whilst learning then I should just play. It's difficult to get past the mind set though.

I never played Gotham Knights myself but from what I heard, many people were not overly happy about it and for them to release a sequel it would have to drag the fans back in again so would have to be a lot better than the previous game to bring people back in and to get people interested.

Always worth a try for free! Never know how you may find it, I think that is one thing I like about free games, nothing to lose when trying it. Sure is 🙂 very similar to Overwatch with different characters and abilities. Not sure how popular it is now since Overwatch 2 went free to play though.

I will admit that I am excited to see what they have done with the game and I am quite surprised that my kids have not asked for this game and instead want the John Cena version of WWE 2K23 instead. Despite them knowing about it, they still haven't asked. I have a funny feeling that when it is released though and many streamers are playing it, they will notice it and will then probably show an interest.

Do you feel battle passes are just the norm now in games?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah games like that in which the developers have already sold it for the price of a full game should not be relying on ads in their games as well. That is like paying for something like a Twitch Sub or YouTube Premium and still getting the ads. Then what exactly did we pay for? -
This is a very good thing to do. I always find that if I fail at something in a game, being able to look at it see where I went wrong or what I could have done to make it work and then look at a strategy I could have used as well and then use it in the future if I ever come across those encounters again.

It was such a great game. I love that I am able to still play it on my Xbox One, even though I don't play it half as much as I used to back when it was new, it's still a great game to go back to just for the nostalgia.

Many have said the same thing, being on wi-fi and on the road is always a bad experience with cloud gaming. It does make me wonder how they could improve that though as when on the road, you are bound to hit areas that give your connection issues, unless there was some way to get a dedicated connection that didn't have any issues finding a solution to those issues would be very difficult.

Do you think free online multiplayer games will become more frequent?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
This is very true and is more than likely the reason we are seeing more and more free-to-play games. Right now these kinds of games are popular after games such as Fortnite became as successful as they did and if they release a free-to-play game and it becomes a success but money is rolling in from within the game, it's something they will continue to do because money is what they want to see. -
Why doesn't Nintendo not make more Wario and Waluigi games?
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
That could be the case. I know they did things with Wario and Luigi and I guess that was there way of seeing how fans of Nintendo reacted to the characters and if it would be viable for them to make more games with those characters. -
Couldn't agree more with this. I don't use Reddit myself too often at all but I know people who do and the amount of times I have heard about things that have been said or happened on Reddit is not always good especially for the gaming community. Twitter as well is a site I have used a lot and still do now and that is also just as bad as many other social media sites when it comes to gaming and the impact it has on gaming.

Vulgarity In Video Games, Especally NPC Prejudice/Bigotry
Shortie replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
Seeing more things like swearing and violence in video games makes more sense nowadays being that video games are not just catered towards the younger generation anymore and children. Whilst many adults still do play games that are for the younger generation you also get adults that want to play something that is more adult like in terms of video games and games like GTA is a perfect example of that. A game like GTA just wouldn't work without the violence and the vulgarity of it all. Developers want to push their games out to not just children but also an older generation of gamers as well.
