  1. Yeah racing is probably my third favourite genre. Forgot to mention it. I'm a huge Mario Kart fan too. If you're into those type of racing games I highly recommend checking out the game ReVolt on PC. It's a game where you drive RC cars that shoot stuff at each other. Extremely fun.
  2. Of recent memory I think it was while playing Undertale. I had a bit of a shaky connection, so it would sort of drop in and out a bit. I remember playing up until the point where the game actually crashes on purpose, but when it did, my connection cut out. I legit felt like the game was haunted. Scared the crap out of me.
  3. I might get bored of a certain game or game genre, but when I do I just play something else. I've been a gamer all my life and never felt bored of gaming.
  4. 3D Realms/Apogee. They've made some of my favourite PC classics.
  5. I'd say the Atari Flashback consoles are alright for just revisiting old classics on a big screen but Atari is so easy to emulate these days that you don't really need one for that.

    Sports Games

Recently I've been into a small little sports game called Graveball. Not much to it but it's a nice twist on Rugby. I wrote a review on it. Usually I am not very much into sports games though since I am not into sports irl. I like sports games that have an interesting twist though.
  7. What sort of Atari games did you grow up with? I can imagine stuff like Yar's Revenge was super cool back then.
  8. My parents. My dad had a DOS PC and my mom got a SNES. Also helped my friends were gamers.
  9. I've been a CoD gamer since MW3 and have played every annual title since. One of the most fun franchises I know.
  10. The Deus Ex series is a great and obvious choice but here are some games I would recommend if you're into cyberpunk: Shadowrun Returns (also check out Shadowrun Hong Kong and Chronicles) These games are based on the Shadowrun tabletop game, which combines cyberpunk with fantasy, which means you also have access to magic and magic races. It's a fairly unique world and one I've gotten very fascinated by personally. System Shock 1 & 2 These games predate Deus Ex, but were huge inspirations for it. Definitely worth giving a look. Syndicate Specifically the 2012 remake. A really underrated FPS by the same people who went on to make the new Wolfenstein games. The original is also worth checking out but is in a very different genre altogether and I find the remake more fun to play personally. Has a VERY good multiplayer suite that sadly doesn't have many players nowadays. Think Deus Ex, except a bit more action focused. Project Snowblind It was originally going to be a Deus Ex game but became something else. It's more of a straight up shooter but it has some neat cyberpunk elements such as augmentations. Perfect Dark The spiritual sequel to GoldenEye, using the same engine. One of the most technically impressive N64 games ever. Very dystopian future with plenty of cyberpunk influences. Hard Reset A shooter with a very strong cyberpunk aesthetic, reminiscent of Blade Runner to a large degree. Extremely recommended!
  11. Around the age of 3 years old. My first video game memory is Duke Nukem on DOS (aka Duke Nukum), but I probably played some games before that since my memory from that time is a bit sketchy. Duke Nukem is the game I first truly remember though.
  12. https://www.vgr.com/nightdive-studios-releases-forsaken-remastered-edition/ Nightdive Studios has just released a brand new remastered edition of the 1998 6DOF Descent clone Forsaken. Currently available on XBox One and Steam for less than $20. Read more in the article!
  13. In addition to music production and game design I would probably want to devote some time to collecting classic big box titles for PC.

    Graveball

Graveball is a brand new game from 3D Realms, developed by Goin' Yumbo Games which is a pretty cool take on rugby. I've had a blast playing it so far. You can check out my review here: https://www.vgr.com/graveball-pc-game-review/ And if you wanna grab it yourself, it's available on Steam for about $5 at the moment: https://store.steampowered.com/app/563170/Graveball/
  15. RPG's. With FPS coming a close second. It depends on my mood sometimes.
