  1. Dark is always best for me. Whether you mean dark as "low light" or dark as "goth" is irrelevant. Dark is best for me. I keep the lights off in my house, and actually have to wear sunglasses half the time inside anyway. I'm beyond extremely photosensitive.
  2. The fear is a fear of small holes in large groups. One thing you could google is a lotus flower. Or just google trypophobia and see what images come up. There's also videos on YouTube that cover phobias. Matthew Santoro did one that flew me into a full blown panic that ended up getting paramedics involved. I was stupid enough to look at the thumbnail for the video and lost it. Unfortunately my fear also extends to bumps in large groups as well, as they pretty much look the same as holes to me. Although holes are a bit worse than bumps. The worst part is that my fear is so severe that it can stop my heart, which could possibly kill me. @Rain Dew has had to come home from work many many times to "talk me down" so to speak after I came across something like this on YouTube. It's a proven fact that some phobias can be potentially lethal. This one is for me. You could check out this thread for more of the discussion.
  3. RDR2 - PS4
  4. You twisted son of a bitch, I'm going to be laughing about that in my sleep tonight. I have to watch the Family Guy episode Mom's The Word now.
  5. I've handled a few and the headsets were always heavy as hell in my opinion. I assumed people would get a lot of neck pain from using one. It's one of the many things that has turned me off from VR gaming. Aside from the physical limitations I'm stuck dealing with.
  6. I noticed it today. YouTube has had over 1 trillion (1,000,000,000,000) views of Minecraft content. I knew Minecraft was popular as hell, but I didn't know it was that popular. If you don't believe me, check out the screnshot I took of it.
  7. That's not what I mean. I'm referring to my trypophobia. I love games that are psychological horror/thriller games. But I have to be careful about some stuff, and I wasn't sure by the thumbnail is this video is something I could watch.
  8. If I'm paying that kind of money for a poster, it better be printed on the back of a first draft of the frickin Constitution.
  9. I have a Yamaha acoustic and a Fender Squier electric. I just need to find a teacher that can accommodate someone in a wheelchair.
  10. I couldn't even watch that whole clip. The racing at the beginning was boring, and the camera wouldn't hold still for more than 2 seconds in the fight scenes to the point that I got both dizzy as hell and a massive headache.
  11. I'm more comfortable having people over to my house than I am going to theirs. I've always been like that. And I do have to agree with you on the frequency. There does seem to be a higher number of women with OCD issues than men. But men with OCD are usually just called neurotic, so that may be part of the reason for the numbers.
  12. RDR2 is virtually the only modern game I truly enjoy on an emotional level. There are others, but they are few and far between. It’s exceptionally rare for me to have this kind of connection to a game.
  13. My NES & SNES games all have the dust covers they came with. Nintendo stopped using dust covers after the SNES, but all mine still have one. If you do get some plastic containers, you should know that even though you may not realize it now, even the ultra thin NES dust covers will take up a lot of space in each container. So you will most likely have to get several.
  14. At the moment I don't even have the money for the system so I'm not worried about it. Plus, I like the look of the white sides. it's a nice change from black for the last 3 generations.
  15. Typically it can't hurt. But what's more important than adding a dust cover to your game is how you store your whole collection. Do you leave them out, or keep them in a sealed container? i keep mine all in a sealed container. It prevents humidity an dirt from getting to them. So I highly recommend doing that.
  16. You have classic gamers like myself, who would never let that happen. If you gave me the option of paying RDR2 on my PS4 or Clash At Demonhead on my NES, 9 times out of 10 I will pick Clash At Demonhead, despite it not being one of my favorites.
  17. I don't know. Some of the games would not be a good idea to remake for VR. Some of them, while they would be a wild ride, just couldn't make it. Things like Marble Madness would never be able to be a VR game. Others are just impractical. Considering that the vast majority of classic games are side scrollers, it would be more expensive than it's really worth to try to give them the VR treatment. Try SMB3. How exactly are you going to use that raccoon tail to fly in VR? I highly doubt you're going to go outside and run across your yard.
  18. You're spot on with that. The only way they gauge what was the most popular is by the money spent to buy the game when it hit shelves. If gamers spent 60 million in the first week on Game A, and 20 million in the first week on Game B, then they will assume that Game A was the most popular one. What they don't factor in is how many bought it because the box looked good, but in turn ended up hating it and wanted their $60 back from GameStop. Also the price of the game matters. Game A may have hit the shelves at $60, while Game B hit the shelves at $40. But they don't care. Bigger numbers=higher popularity. Higher popularity-bigger profits. What we think and want, unfortunately doesn't matter to the ones at the top. AS long as we keep spending our money, that is all that matters. For example one of my all time favorite games is Blaster Master. It's an NES game. It was virtually unnoticed when it was released. Now the only ones that even know of its existence are those of us that played it in 1988. It's also one of the most difficult games ever released. The gamers of today will have one hell of a hard time with it. Sunsoft made several follow ups to the original, but they were largely overlooked. Now, (with the exception of Nintendo Online) they wouldn't even be legally allowed to try to port them to a Switch due to the licensing, if Nintendo hadn't acquired Sunsoft in the early 2000's. It seems to me that it all comes down to money, and ownership. If you have the money, you can own whatever you want. And stop others from enjoying what you own, if you're so inclined.
  19. No. I just like things to be well organized so I can find it easily when I need to. I've been told that I'm at the point that it looks like an OCD thing, because of how organized shit has to be. If it's not in perfect order, I start getting rather bitchy and can't focus on anything else until the item in question is fixed.
  20. I'm not sure this one can be upgraded. It still uses a separate Video card and separate modem card from the motherboard. So I doubt that it could be upgraded anymore. It's just way too old. It's older than some of the members here.
  21. Actually, I haven't. I've never seen any of them. Muscle guys with muscle cars just isn't my thing when it comes to movies. Hell muscle guys aren't my thing at all in any capacity.
  22. Thanks everyone. I just hope I don't make any major screw ups and do something that's not supposed to be within my scope of privileges as a mod. With the amazing job @Shagger has done over the last year and a half, I know I can go to him anytime I need. Obviously I can also go to @DC too. They have been one hell of a team together, and I'm honored to be able to help them with their duties. But like I said, I just hope I don't make any major screw ups. Fingers crossed. 🤞
  23. Just to clarify for the idiot American that I am, when you say football, are you referring to American football or what Americans call soccer?
  24. With my skin, it’s as if someone sprayed glue between me and whatever I’m sitting on. I have to have something between me and the actual material. During summer when it’s hot out, leather becomes a natural glue factory. It’s why my windows are cracked open a few inches all summer long. Even when it rains. Except with my Camaro. She parks in the garage. My baby gets special treatment. I know that makes me sound like a guy, but I’ve dreamed about this car for 35 years.
  25. I watch RDR2 videos on YouTube about as much as I play the actual game myself. I find it equally as enjoyable to do both.
