    The thing is that consoles are luxury item something that nobody should be wasting their money on. It'd be fair if there is single device that can take care of gaming like the PC for that matter.

    There are a few devices that can take several systems. I had an FC Twin for a while. It plays both NES and SNES games. There's also an FC Trio that plays Sega Genesis as well. Then there's reverse play on a lot of consoles. And it's not a luxury item. For some of us it's nostalgia. For others it's a better option because there are games that are console exclusive. So it's not a waste of money either. To me PC gaming for a lot of console games is pointless. You waste hard drive space downloading all these games, run the risk of not having enough memory, and have more problems with lag time on a computer than on a console. Also if you piss someone off, you run the risk of being hacked. Not the easiest ting to do with a console, especially if you're not online.

    Console = safer & smarter

    To be honest, Special Edition consoles/controllers are all about nostalgia - they usually don't provide any real benefit over the original hardware. It's definitely not worth the money.

    I have to agree with your post. The only difference between normal and special edition is cosmetics. Appearance doesn't matter in any aspect of video gaming and is a complete waste of your hard earned cash.

    You both hit the nail on the head. Most of the special edition consoles are merely a different colored machine. It affects gameplay in no way. Maybe it will be a collectors item in 30 years, but that's a long time to wait to make $50. Controllers on the other hand can be a little different. The fighting controller I had could be an asset to the ones that are hardcore fighting game nuts. Or it could be a hinderance. The one I had was the Japanese version, but here's a pic of the same controller.

  3. Exactly. They had good ideas for expansion packs, but those didn't make a lot of sense when tied in to the rest of the game. I bought the War Chiefs expansion, and it never made any improvements to the game. They were always NPC's and the game always made them non-active allies. And having to ship back to another town to do almost EVERYTHING was a bad move by the writers. Also, why did they switch from mining gold to silver? How did that improve the game? Every AOE game has had a car in it with the cheat codes. But AOE3 had a damn monster truck. And the bouncing George Washington head? WHAT IN THE GOD DAMN ALMIGHTY FUCK WAS THAT? WERE THE WRITERS SMOKING CRACK? I've seen some goofy cheats in video games before, but that one takes the retard cake.

  4. Ah, I get you now. Sorry I posted that last night in bed around midnight I think, and I was a pretty wasted. So If there's anything that was posted late from me, it's probably not going to make a damn bit of sense.

  5. Being a classic gamer, everything I play is no longer in production. So on my end, I don't think it's actually illegal if someone wants to download a game such as, say, Zelda: A Link To The Past. While massively successful, Nintendo has moved on from that era. The same goes for Xbox (the original Xbox) and PS1. Also old games like early Final Fantasy titles, I'm pretty sure Square Enix has moved on from as well. I doubt they would really raise a stink If you downloaded FF8. But as for new stuff, like Zelda: BOTW, that IS stealing since it's currently in production. While I have never cared if a person steals from a multi billion dollar corporation, such as Walmart, you can't get around the fact that it is theft, no matter how you slice it.

    So I would say a lot of it boils down to whether the game is in production or not. Old games from old systems are only available at second hand shops, so the corporation that created the game isn't making money from it anymore. So there's no real problem there.

  6. What's everyone's favorite glitch in games? Mine is the bottle glitch in Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. You can only do it on the N64 however. If you go to a spot with fish, and use a bottle to catch one. Just as Link swings down to catch it hit start and go to your menu screen. Choose another Item like Deku Nuts and put it where the bottle is. Then go back to the game. Link will catch the fish, but now you have another bottle instead of Deku Nuts. You won't be able to get something like milk or potions in it, since the game doesn't really recognize it. But you can catch faeries, bugs, fish, blue fire, and whatnot with it. The downside is that if you were to pick up a Deku Nut somewhere, you would lose the bottle and have the nuts again. After getting the Big Goron Sword, I always do that with the claim check. I do it with Zelda's letter as well until I do the mask game. If I do the mask game.

  7. I have gambled a couple times in the past, but I've always known how to quit when I'm ahead. When I was a kid there was some neighbor kids who had a weekly tournament on Killer Instinct for SNES. The prizes were never cash, but random stuff. Things like posters, sports card packs, hats, stuff like that. It always cost $5 to enter, but that was mainly to cover the cost for the prizes. It was free to watch as a spectator. There was usually 15-20 there if you combine everyone. I played a couple times, and since at the time I royally sucked at KI, I always came in at the bottom. Either dead last or next to it.

  8. I have Space Invaders on Atari. The actual cartridge and system. It's amazing to play it on there. But another masterpiece that belongs in every classic gamers library, is Galaga. Whether it works or not, you need to have a copy of it regardless of what system it's on. I play it on my GBA SP all the time. Mainly because I can take it anywhere.

  9. It depends on the game. If it's something I'm severely good at like Zelda: Link To The Past then I can breeze through the entire game in one sitting in a relatively short time. If it's a somewhat bigger game like FF8, then yes. I play it at intervals. A couple hours a day at most. If it's somewhere in the middle I take breaks. Like Zelda Ocarina, I take a break between dungeons and random times.

  10. The Legend Of Zelda: Majoras Mask

    At first I didn't view it as a true Zelda game because it wasn't in Hyrule, and Link wasn't trying to save Zelda and beat Ganon. So for a long time I refused to play it. Then I saw other people playing it, and it peaked my curiosity. So I sat down to play it one day, and was almost immediately hooked. It may not be a true Zelda game in the traditional sense, but I don't care. I still enjoy the hell out of it.

    But that damn 3 day time limit still sucks, even with the Inverted Song Of Time.

  11. I had a typing class in 7th grade but all we really had to do for that class was show up. I learned to type from spending a lot of time in chat rooms. But on my phone, I suck severely.

  12. When it comes to "mythical" creatures, I have held a certain belief my whole life. I don't believe the human mind is intelligent enough or creative enough to come up with all these creatures. I believe they are real. Whether we will encounter any of them again is a complete other story.

    And leave the lunatic comments outside.
