The Sims and most other games with that kind of RTS isometric design are better suited to a PC interface.  The experience on console can feel a little cumbersome.  In case of Skyrim and similar games (especially from Bethesda) you can use debug consoles and/or mods to bypass certain issues or make the game easier.
 
Beyond those two situations and bad ports aside (like Arkham Knight on PC for instance) I can't really think of any other situation where playing on a PC (or a console) makes the game any easier.  For the most part it doesn't make any difference.

And I thought I had seen everything with AVGN's toaster Nintendo.

When I read the question @DC asked, my first thought was webmastering languages. Personally, I taught myself HTML when I was 16. I know it extremely well, but I haven't been able to grasp any others. I can manipulate prewritten JavaScript, but can't write my own.

If you want difficulty, try using Search Snake through an entire run in Mega Man 3. That weapon is all but useless.

I mean, my mother highly disapproved of Doom, but in a rare moment of live-and-let-live, ignored it. But my father didn't find Doom objectionable at all. And as a kid, I didn't have a hard time distinguishing video game violence from the real thing. So maybe it also depends on the kid and what is appropriate for that specific kid?

Team Sonic Racing
Really enjoying this one. Kinda takes me back to my hours of playing Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. I checked it out from a local library, so I don't properly own it, but if I did, I'd probably play it quite often!

Finally got the MAD-3R Marauder in the campaign. Only now, the game's throwing slightly heavier 'Mechs at me. The mission where I deployed the Marauder in my lance had a damn HBK-4P Hunchback among the opposing force. Hunchbacks are notoriously tough among medium 'Mechs, able to hold their own against assault 'Mechs in a straight fight.

The horse was the right answer, but probably not for the reason you’re thinking.

I finally was able to synth-ascend the Blorg Commonality in a game with a friend of mine. My economy is about to explode.
I also reformed my government into a dictatorship so that I don't have to spend Influence on elections every 20 years (Blorg Commonality starts the game as an oligarchy, which has elections every 20 years) and renamed it the Roblorg Contingency. Now all I have to do is colonize a bunch of planets and build huge fleets of warships, and the galaxy will be powerless to stop anything I do.
I'm hoping there's a Determined Exterminator hiding around that I can vassalize. There's a huge chunk of space I haven't explored yet, maybe I can look there. It's blocked by a space amoeba for now, but I can take it out easy.

Yeah, SP is the clamshell design.

Titanfall 2
A friend of mine wanted to play Frontier Defense with me. I myself was quite rusty at the game, although I was never particularly good at it to begin with. Anyway, we played two rounds and won both. As a Ronin main, I played Ronin in both rounds, while my friend played Tone. Ronin's role in Frontier Defense is "Roamer", so I had to go roam around the field and take care of various enemies, at times even going out of my way to hunt down Mortar Titans, since I was the fastest Titan in the field at that moment.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
Hunted Brachydios. I think I made the right call going from HR Lunastra armor to MR Dodogama armor. The armor skills of that set makes his slime mostly harmless to me. I mean, I'll still take a good chunk of damage if it explodes, but at least I'm not getting blastblight. I really like the armor set; I think I'm gonna farm Brachydios to get it and a few of its weapons, and hold on to them until I have MR Lunastra gear.

Exactly. The ability of the child to reason is important too. I never really saw a connection between video game "violence" and real-life violence--there's nothing harmful occurring on a screen. But some kids may not have the ability to make the distinction, and as a result, may behave problematically.

The buck stops with the parenting. I grew up playing GTA and RE and I was never in any way influenced by the content of such games because my parents taught me better. A game will only be just that - a piece of software for entertainment. It cannot be substituted for good parenting.

Well I played GTA games at a early age 8-10 and I was never affected by the violence in those games, however there are plenty of kids that are more susceptible to violence.
