There was a COD like version of DOOM 4 in the works?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I can't say I like this version any better than the version we got. However, it could be used for a future DOOM release - as far as the animation went, it was amazing. -
KFC's KFConsole Is Real: Secret Ingredient Is Intel Silicon
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I heard about this yesterday and was going to a post on it as well but just like you I wasn't sure this is real or not. I'm not sure what marketing tactic KFC is trying here but this has to be an odd one. First we had the Xbox controllers and now this - Next we'll get the KFC ARM processor as well (why am I giving them more ridiculous ideas). -
I have my own business so something like a Galaxy Note actually helps in this regard. A lot of the functions are very good for productivity on the go and I got mine at a reasonable price with Samsung trade-in.

The only way I'd say a 13 inch gaming laptop might work is on a plane and even then, how many people try to do PC gaming on an aeroplane?

Nvidia only backpedalled when their own community started going against them. No, Nivida will do Founders edition cards but they won't sell them on their site. I'm not sure what you mean. Founders Edition cards are the ones created directly by Nvidia and are normally sent to reviewers first and then they sell a limited number of them. At some point, they'll stop selling them and you'll have to buy the board partners versions of the said graphics card (MSI, EVGA, Asus etc.)

I'm also a hardcore gamer that likes everything at max settings. You never want to miss out on the full experience and besides I'm going into 3d modelling and animation so I'll definitely need a powerful desktop. I agree. You need to have your own place for privacy reasons.

Microsoft's support for most of their platforms is pretty terrible. You remember how they used to have their own App store and windows phones? I had one and using their app store was such a horrifying experience. Steeam doesn't allow modding? Or Cyberpunk 2077? Because there are so many moddable games on Steam right now...

Brings back so many memories of accidentally trapping my Sims in the kitchen and it burns them alive. I sometimes forget what was my first game. I have to go through all the names of the PC games I played as a kid before it comes back to me.

I have used them for years. They're pretty reliable but like everything else, that might change overnight.

It depends on the brand of SSDs you buy as well because not all SSDs are made equal. SSDs from companies like Samsung, Sandisk and a few others are extremely reliable and won't fail you in at least 5 years.

So true. AMD chips with similar performance to those Intel chips are a lot lower in price, more efficient and multitask far better.

Xpass gaming cloud is coming to mobile devices soon so you won't have to worry about playing games on the go...
-
Xbox is busy trying to do so many things at once. I mean Xpass Gaming Cloud and acquiring new businesses and studios to build their brand while PlayStation mainly focuses on their console and puts more time and effort into that. I can see that Xbox trying to gain a bigger foothold in the gaming industry in the long-term but we don't know if all this will pay off for them.
-
Thanks for that info but how many of them are actually fun to play and are good games?

Same here. I need to get my hands on a Switch but I heard there's a new one with 4k capabilities that is going to come out soon so I don't really want to go buy a Switch now and miss out on that.

I actually just watched a video about it since you mentioned it and I've never really noticed it. I guess I'll add this to list of things I've discovered about Mario 64 in recent years.

Do you set up all of your consoles in one area?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
It's a lot of stuff though. You'd need a lot of space for that as well. Personally I only need one super powerful gaming desktop and a gaming laptop in a room. -
For those of us who play GTA online, you would've known that a new DLC was recently released and for the most part, the content is pretty good. That being said, most of the vehicles were trash but there's a few I love from the new update. My favorite new vehicles include the Kosatka ( A submarine which you can drive around underwater with guided missiles and torpedoes) - this one is my favorite by far, The Toreador - the stromberg but far better with boost and more durability, The Itali RSX - its on the expensive side but it's almost as quick as the Pariah. What are your favorite vehicles?

So the Rockstar Devs did an interview the other day about the most recent DLC - The Cayo Perico Update (in terms of content, one of the better GTA V DLCs) and how it was created from home. Towards the end of the interview, the devs confirmed that GTA VI isn't abandoning the single-player aspect of GTA V (phew!). I have to admit, the thought crossed my mind because Rockstar spent WAY more time putting out content for GTA online and neglecting the single-player aspect but they said that would change with GTA 6. Are you excited by this news? Source: https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2020/12/20/rockstar-on-gta-single-player/

UK politicians call for action against PS5 and Xbox Series scalpers
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Just an update for you guys, it appears scalpers have made $28m on Ebay from selling PS5s. -
That's a very well-written review.

What's the next game you think will release a broken mess?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
Bethesda's games are normally fixed by the modding community and that's why they are such hits but Bethesda tried to exclude the modding community in Fallout 76 and to no ones surprise - the game was a disaster. Unfortunately developers will always come under pressure from their superiors to deliver games in an unrealistic timeframe so don't be surprised if they release it early.
