StaceyPowers Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 What are the most painful sacrifices you’ve had to make in games? For me, the part where you need to choose to sacrifice one of your companions in Mass Effect 1 was one of the worst.
killamch89 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I'm not really sure because most of the sacrifices I've had to make in video games tends to be part of the narrative so I've never really had a choice in the matter. Usually, I wouldn't really care because I'd always be curious about how the situation is going to turn out if a certain character dies.
lludawg Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 For me, it is games where you have to choose specific team members and leave others. For example, in Pokemon you can only have a certain number in your party. I always get a tad bit sad when I spend time training a Pokemon only to have to replace it with a stronger Pokemon later in the game.
m76 Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 In Splinter Cell Double Agent when you have to sacrifice someone who previously helped you unconditionally.

Seriously, that's very sad and painful because it's more like a stab in the back and betrayal of the help you previously received.
