Casinos and small gambling places are designed so the house always wins.  In that case, do you feel this is moral?  Is it wise to visit these places?   Well, some look with disgust as often hard-earned money is thrown away.    Anyway, supporters of gambling simply believe money is something that people are free to do what they want with without moral lecturing.   Also, they see it as entertainment.

The casino itself is a fun place to go, but for me, it's more about just chillin and getting dressed up to have a fun place to hang out .. kinda like a bar or club. Actually, it has many bars/clubs right inside. My uncle takes me sometimes and he LOVES to play the slots (he loves to gamble in general, esp. scratch-offs) and I just tag along because it's something fun to do.

And you're right, casino always comes out the winner in the end, but my uncle will still take his chances. He's not some huge gambling addict or anything 😂 but I will say he can easily walk away from smoking, alcohol, happy pills, whatever... But he does struggle walking away from casinos and scratch-offs.

If I go to a casino, I always play the slots. I can't afford the $10 ante to get in on Poker or Blackjack. So the slots is where you'll find me. On cruises I don't gamble a lot, but I tend to hit the casino more. The best I've ever done is to walk in with about $10 and leave with $41. I'm not the biggest on gambling, and I actually haven't gambled in years. But I also love to play penny poker. Everyone gets a roll or two pennies, (1 roll is 50¢) and we gamble with that. No big lost if you bust. But still a lot of fun.

But typically I only gamble with my life, not my money. I do dangerous and stupid shit, but it's a lot of fun in my eyes and a hell of a rush. I mean who else has jumped from one truck to another going 70 mph (112.654 kmh) with only a football helmet for protection?

Normally, I would say it is in good sport and winning all the way hardly matters when you have fun. Unfortunately, gambling addiction is a thing, and just like pornography, it's an appalling industry feeding off people's addiction. But that's the point of capitalism, I guess. When there's money to be made, people will make them, no matter who gets squashed along the way.

I know some people who have were bit by the gambling bug badly, spending at times hundreds of pounds on a single bet.  There is no doubt in my mind it can be just as addicting as Drugs or Alcohol but people generally don't seem to take non-chemical addictions as seriously and that's part of the problem.

As for me, gambling is just one of the activities that can be treated differently by different people. Someone like me loves gambling as a topic for the discussion since there's always a great deal of news and exciting stories like ones when smb wins big right in time to pay the bills. Of course there's a dangerous way when people get addicted and don't stop playing even when financial and psycological problems are revealed. I came across one interesting interview and when reading found a key point, in my opinion, of how people should treat gambling: "not seeing gambling as a way to make money or chasing losses". So safe and responsible gambling, as I think, is the only one that must take place. Still it's not that easy as gambling platforms are interested in getting money and, I believe, most gamblers as well, and while the first use promos and ads, the latter may find it hard to stop testing the fortune.
