Being that self certeredness leads to narcissism, I hate self centered people. Be proud if you want, but you're not a god among ants.

I am self-centered, in the sense of literally being focused on myself and my life experiences most of the time. If someone tells me a story, the first thing I do is think if I have any relevant experience through which I can understand it. 

This isn't the same as being selfish though. I just am the literal center of my own universe. It doesn't mean I think I'm the center of anyone else's.

I am not self centred, I love to listen to others experiences and learn from them as well. I don't agree or share only my own experiences or taking self glory, I put others together in my shoes lol.

In my opinion I think everything we do is in one way or the other is done for our altimate benefits in the end which is why I feel we all have the trait of self centeredness but we choose to call it other better names instead like self love or whatever.
