Heatman Posted April 25, 2025 Posted April 25, 2025 Keeping a pocket knife is as legal as keeping a gun. It's used for protection but also for other uses. I still have my first pocket knife which I'm just keeping for old memories sakes. Some people collect rare sets of pocket knives because of their value. Do you still keep a pocket knife?
Knight Barida Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 I've got a pocket knife while I was in high school. It was a way that I ensured that I guarded myself in most of the movements that I made. I never wanted anyone intimidating while I was out there for any reason at all.
killamch89 Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 I carry a simple Swiss Army knife that belonged to my grandfather. The blade itself is unremarkable compared to modern options, but using a tool with family history adds meaning to everyday tasks. It's become a small daily connection to someone who valued preparation and self-reliance - values I try to maintain even in our convenience-oriented world.
Shortie Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 I have never had a pocket knife and would never keep one on me either. I hear way too many stories of people being attacked and in most cases, it was a pocket knife that was the weapon used in the attack. Where I live, I know it is illegal to carry any kind of knife, especially a pocket knife but people do.
The Blackangel Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 Having grown up on a farm, I used a knife a billion times a day. Some days it actually felt like I had used it literally a billion times. It got to the point where just don't feel fully dressed without one. I still use it a lot, so it's not as if it's some kind of goofy fashion symbol.
Anders Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 A few years ago I used to carry a fold out pocket knife with me. I very rarely used it for anything, but it was nice to have just in case I needed to open or cut something. I then discovered that carrying a knife is very much illegal in my country. It's been living in my kitchen drawer since.
