Heatman
Between a smart watch and a normal wrist watch, which one is your favourite and why? I've never owned a smart watch but I'm looking at getting either Galaxy Watch 7 or Galaxy Watch Ultra. Which one do you think is the best? Do you prefer smart watch or a normal watch? Knight Barida
I am going to be the type that will go with a smart watch. I like my watch having extra features which I like and having this makes it easier for me to enjoy wearing the watch instead of buying a normal watch. killamch89
My appreciation oscillates between both for different contexts. My mechanical Seiko serves as a meaningful heirloom piece that connects me to horological tradition, while my Garmin provides irreplaceable fitness insights during training blocks. The mechanical watch makes me appreciate craftsmanship; the smartwatch makes me appreciate my improving health metrics.
The Blackangel
I stay with a normal watch. I’m a Citizen snob. Citizen's are the only kind of watch I’ll wear. Several years ago @Rain Dew and I were on a cruise. I went by the jewelry shop, and saw a Citizen watch that I absolutely loved. I bought it without hesitation. Now here's why I only wear a Citizen. I bought the watch, but the issue was that I didn't know how to tell time. All we had when I was growing up was digital clocks. So the idea of teaching me never came up. So @Rain Dew spent the rest of the night teaching me how to tell time. For that reason, Citizen watches are very special to me. I currently own four. So that's why I only wear Citizen watches. If you were to give me a Rolex, I would sell it and buy Citizen's.
Shortie
At the moment, I am not using any kind of watch as I always use my phone, laptop or even the clocks I have in the house to tell the time. I have been interested in getting a smart watch though for quite a while. I know my mum uses one and she loves it as she can do so much on it. I always struggle messing around with my phone when I am out and about and I have seen that with some smartwatches you can use them for Google Pay which is what I use a lot so that would be convenient.
