Shortie Posted May 7, 2025 Posted May 7, 2025 We have seen many franchises over the years but so many seem to end up forgotten by many. Just because they are forgotten by many does not always mean that they are forgotten by everyone. What are some forgotten franchises that you would love to see return?
killamch89 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Twisted Metal deserves another chance. Vehicle combat games have practically disappeared, and nothing delivered the same combination of dark humor, memorable characters, and destructive playground mayhem. With modern physics and online play, it could recapture the local multiplayer magic of the PS1 era.
Scorpion Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 I'd love to see the return of franchises like Chrono Trigger, Beyond Good & Evil, and Psychonauts. They each have unique worlds and stories that deserve a resurgence, offering fresh experiences and nostalgia for both new and longtime fans.

To be fair, Psychonauts got a sequel in 2021 and Beyond Good & Evil got a new remaster less than a year ago, so I'm not sure I would call either of those franchises 'forgotten', but I would still love to see sequels to both. The first thing that came to mind for me was Jazz Jackrabbit. The last game came out in 1998 and I've hardly ever heard anyone ever talk about it, but it was a big part of my childhood. I remember my friend coming over and us playing multiplayer on our family computer, both playing on the same keyboard. Edited May 26, 2025 by Anders
Knight Plug Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Whenever Alone in the Dark returned, they were usually quite terrible. But did you like the last one? Stay tuned for tomorrow, for potential RE news.
