Anders Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Not technically the last movie I watched, but I recently watched Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and I really enjoyed it. It's a perfect example of a movie that is meant for kids, is still enjoyable for adults. The same can not be said for The Emoji Movie, which I also watched recently for some reason. That movie had exactly one funny joke (in my opinion), and it was in the first 5 minutes. Puss in Boots however was enjoyable all the way through, had some genuinely funny moments, and I really loved the animation style. Reminded me a lot of Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse killamch89 1
Anders Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Continuing on the thread of watching mostly kids movies, my wife and I went to see the new Little Mermaid remake yesterday, and I have to say i was positively surprised. After really disliking the Lion King and Mulan remakes I really wasn't expecting much, but I though it was pretty true to the original, and the casting was pretty excellent. I thought Melissa McCarthy did a great performance as Ursula.
The Blackangel Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Truth Or Dare It's different than all the others. It's a whole new twist to all the Truth Or Dare movies that have been made over the past several years.
Tsalagi_Dragon Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Renfield. I liked it. It was funny. Nicolas Cage was great as Dracula.
Knight Plug Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Great White. One of those Jaws clones that faced the wrath of Universal for being an alleged rip off. They even attempted to ban it from being released. When this initially failed, it was showing in the theaters for a month, until a judge pulled the plug. But it isn't that great. 🦈
LeoGrun Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra Returns Again which is the sequel to The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. Both are great movies, if you like movies and watching them.
The Blackangel Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 The Conjuring 2 9/10 I was having myself an Annabelle marathon a few nights ago. It was fun to see the movies in one run. I did try watching The Nun but all that one did was put me to sleep. So I didn't finish the marathon. I may sometime today. All I have left is the first Annabelle and The Conjuring 3. Knight Plug 1
Knight Plug Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Mausoleum. 1983. 4/10 My goodness. LOL. It's just about some demonic woman with green eyes, and she kills a lot of people, admittedly. The Blackangel 1
