2019/2020 too soon for PS5?

There has been a lot of conjecture lately about when the PS5 will arrive, with some predicting it may come as early as mid-late 2019 while others maintain 2020 is more likely.  Do you all think that is too soon for another console generation, or is it right on time?

I think that mid 2019 will be the perfect time for the Playstation 5 to be released. I never have owned a PS console because I don't feel the console gaming is for me. It's just the perspective of a PC gamer.

It depends.  How long has it been since the PS4 came out?  If they feel they don't have any more to offer for the PS4 then 2019 may be the right time to bring in the PS5.

Honestly 2019 most likely would have been a good time, but with the release of PS4 Pro they kind of need to extend the age of the PS4 life cycle. So I would say 2020/2021 would be better.

It would feel that they just released the PS4 Pro, made some quick money and boom - a new console. Yeah, it wouldn't be a good thing. But still 2019 sounds the best for me.

I think 2019 would be too soon for PS5, yeah. Sony could announce it in 2019, but I very much doubt it'll launch that year. 2020 on the other hand is totally viable. I could see 2020 being the year the PS5 launches.

I think it should be more of 2022.

I think that the current console lifespan is not the same as before, 2019 is to soon on my opinion, November of 2020 on the other hand doesn't sound that bad.
There still have awesome games coming up and recently we got Read dead redemption 2, Spiderman and Fallout 76, PS4 definitively not over yet.

The plan is Sony announces it at E3 2019 and releases it mid 2020. Not too soon not too late and most awaited games will have been newly released so that they can be moved to ps5 afterwards.
