skyfire Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Macs are annoying and not meant for the gaming. Most of the folks in near future may be going for the Linux or stay with windows from what I have seen so far.

Most of the folks in near future may be going for the Linux or stay with windows from what I have seen so far. if most of the games were compatible with Linux, then trust me, nobody of the competitive gamers would use Windows anymore, there's a huge difference in performance between Linux and Windows, sometimes you get double of the FPS in Linux
skyfire Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Good point. I think the Linux world totally dominate. The only thing people would stick with linux is because of apps that are still made for windows. and some games exclusive.
Empire Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I would stick with windows still, Since windows support more than other software. Just not always gaming gaming. Need the right drivers and hardware/software to run games and with no right drivers, then the game won't run that well. Plus most devs and parties always works with windows first before other OS.

But even windows has been in work with linux on their azure. and so soon I wont be surprised that windows has the Linux kernel. I mean if they can move to chrome and make edge out of it. i don't see windows not using linux kernel and still making those softwares.
killamch89 Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 I'd stick with Windows just because of the support it has as well as the compatibility with many software manufacturers right out of the box. If the other platforms had equal support and compatibility, well I'd have to see.

skyfire Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Windows 10 is like Apple OS X constantly being developed every 6 months. And released as an update. there wont be windows 11. they are following this release cycle model of apple and linux now.
