Vaporpublico Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 I am planning on getting one used. Don't really have the extra bucks to buy an RTX
Patrik Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Yes it is, but as a midrange GPU, it's a pretty good GPU if you are satisfied with 1080p 60 FPS.
Empire Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 It's a very good GPU 🙂 and you know why I know? well, I have a Asus 1660TI myself 🙂 So in terms, I would try and get hold of 1660TI edtion since it's higher clock speeds and can able to OC and performance is better then 1660 Super. I'm able to run most games on extra high at 1440P around 120Hzz, Yes depends on what games you play that you may need to play around for each one of them. I get 300 FPS is CSGO. For simulators I stick to 60Hz since you don't need high refresh rate. I was like you though, When I get my card it was new at the time, the 2000 series was way over my price and even when 3000 series came out I just can't afford it. https://rog.asus.com/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-strix/rog-strix-gtx1660ti-o6g-gaming-model/
killamch89 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 It'll do for now but in a few years, I'd recommend getting an upgrade. That being said, you can play most games comfortably at 1080p or 1440p so you should be satisfied. Besides, have you seen the prices of 3060s? They're even higher than 3080s lol.
skyfire Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Now that we are in 2022, I wonder what new series we would be getting which is outside the context of past series.
