  1. What video game do you have the largest number of complete playthroughs (for open world games, this counts as the main quest line) on, and how many have you made? So far, for me it is probably Fallout New Vegas, which I have played through three times.
  2. That would be awesome if you did that! And indeed, it can be really hard for me to try and explain what I liked or disliked about a game without going into spoiler details regarding plot and characters in most cases.
  3. I agree that a price up to $599 seems likely. The only thing I think would suppress that down to $500 or so would be reduced demand because of economi c issues.
  4. whenever I’m playing a game which keeps track of my hours of play and I glance at it, I am often shocked by just how much time I have spent playing.
  5. If a multiplayer game is lagging or crashing, I usually try to log out and quit playing and come back to try again later, because nothing good can come of continuing. If a single player game is crashing because it is buggy, I look online for solutions or just reboot and avoid the thing that triggered it if possible.
  6. I won’t be able to play it for a long time since I don’t have a compatible system, so I am trying to avoid spoilers, but it great to read that you are liking it thus far—I think I trust your opinion since we’ve had some discussions about the first game. I’ll look forward to your review, especially if you can keep the spoilers below the cut so I can read a spoiler-free section 🙂
  7. I've been curious about Life is Strange for a long time, so I'll be interested what you think of it.
  8. That's a great question, and I'm somewhat ashamed to say I literally don't have an answer because I know so little about those systems. What single game would you recommend for each?
  9. I think I am probably in the last 25% or so of the first game (for the first time), and am already super stoked to get RDR2, so it is great reading so consistently on here that it lives up to the hype.
  10. I'm almost certain that it was a PC of some sort, as my dad was very anti-Mac.
  11. I really can only describe myself as an "average" gamer, and I'm just guessing that's what I am.
  12. Spec Ops: The Line, probably a few nights from finishing it, and already looking forward to playing through it again and picking up more than I did the first time.
  13. It was some kind of game with a maze which was made out of text on an old computer with a green screen which I think was known as a Z-100.
  14. I’m far more interested in the quality of a game than I am in how new or old it is. When I play an older game that looks or feels dated to me, I usually research and ask around to put it in context for its time and get an understanding of how it pushed the envelope when it was released.
  15. I cannot honestly claim to be insanely good at any video game. I am just glad I am past the days of my youth where I was insanely bad at almost every game I tried.
  16. I have too many other responsibilities to juggle to find days where I could do this, though I imagine (with rest breaks, however) that I would if I could. The closest I have to this psychologically is when I get so into a game that I speed through my day just to get back to playing it, and when I’m not playing it, I’m thinking about it non-stop.
  17. True, and I would add to that the fact that some of the more meaningful interactions I've had with people have been online, including in games I've played. The physical world is part of the real world, but the digital world is too.
  18. Watching gameplay videos is another idea, although the trick is to manage to avoid spoilers along the way. I’ve also often figured out if I will like a game by reading what the developers have said about their creative process, interestingly enough.
  19. The Last of Us is one of the most mindblowing games I have ever played, featuring both incredible stealth game play and amazing writing about wonderful characters. I also can highly recommend the Dragon Age games to you in particular, because they capture that sense of family/community which you’ve talked about getting from other games before.
  20. While technically a drawback, I look at the feeding part more as a fun kind of challenge/mission. It’s kind of like doing the thief quests, except the thing I am stealthily steeling isn’t a candlestick, it’s blood.
  21. It is possible to play through every quest line and thus “complete” the game, but once you complete the main quest line, the game doesn’t actually end. You can effectively play a single playthrough forever, assuming you don’t get bored with radiant quests and other somewhat repetitious activities.
  22. I honestly have no idea why anyone is preoccupied with scores. When picking a game to play, I usually do it because I’ve seen other people talking about aspects of the game which I know will appeal to me from their description.
  23. Thank you for the tip! I have never used an emulator before and haven’t known where to start, but now I do :)
  24. I'd be more than happy to help @DC @The Blackangel
  25. Eventually I will find out what you are talking about. I am still playing the original RDR, and won’t be able to play RDR2 until I have a system that can handle it (I am waiting to grab a PS5 since it should be able to play PS4 games).
