  1. Difficulty sliders have been a thing since like the 90s lol. And most games still feature them with on average like 5 difficulty options. They aren't that hard to program.
  2. Fair enough. My opinion? If gamers want that they can choose that. There is nothing wrong with that, however there should be a difficulty slider so gamers who prefer a more fair challenge with steadier progression and less repetitiveness can have that. There's zero downsides to more options when it comes to difficulty.
  3. I might get a lot of hate for this but I firmly believe all games should have one. Even games like Souls. Especially games like Souls and games with similar difficulty where you have to die again and again countless times to get past a checkpoint. There is no disadvantage to giving games multiple difficulties. If one wants to play it the traditional way then they can go ahead, but if you just want a fairly challenging difficulty which doesn't constantly halt your progress and doesn't feel like groundhog day having to play the same section over and over then there should be an option for that, that way everyone wins.
  4. It's the best controller though imo. Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are so fun and ergnomically it feels very tight. The design is also very futuristic and attractive to boot.
  5. Malboros are worse imo. They can just one shot your entire team at the first turn in battle(before you can even try to escape) with stone breath or bad breath. Whoever put it in FFX is a sadist.
  6. Used to until I laid hands upon the perfection that is DualSense
  7. Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Especially when you're using guns.
  8. Yeah, it's pretty much just "more is better" philosophy even though they dont realize that it feels like unneccesary filler that the game could do without.
  9. Hojo from Final Fantasy VII Sundowner from Metal Gear Rising;Revengeance There's a lot of evil people in video games but I guess i'd say these two may be the most evil out of the games i've played.
  10. Fuck sake. Gaming companies always find new ways to make inconveniences for the players.
  11. Nope. Never understood how gaming is "for kids". Does that make any leisure activity for kids?
  12. Ever considered giving up gaming then? That's also considered something for kids.
  13. Update after being the game: It's a decent game but don't expect anything that great. Gameplay is fun and wire pulls feel very satisfying. Boss fights are incredibly fun. It's kind of shallow however. Graphics look nice. There is lots to do in the city. The story is pretty bad though unfortunately.
  14. Gen 5 seems to be very popular nowadays. I remember several years back people relentlessly shit on it. Glad it's getting the appreciation it deserves.
  15. >microsoft and sony will not ditch their old consoles and release them exclusively on their new hardware They will once the shortage ends. Even now, there's still plenty of great games coming out which are much improved thanks to next gen hardware. 60fps is the norm again, loading times are very fast, haptic feedback/adaptive triggers also enhances the experience. I'm not trying to sound snobbish or anything but looking back when I had to wait full on MINUTES for some games to load a level(Devil May Cry 5, Final Fantasy XV, Jedi Fallen Order, etc) it seems so primitive in hindsight. Despite the lack of next gen exclusives, it still kind of feels like next gen because of all these improvements across the board. I could never picture a PS4 running a game like Rift Apart at 60fps with load screens being a couple seconds. But you have a point, devs need to start pumping out next gen games. Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine are almost certain going to be a next gen game and Kill The Justice League is as well which come out next year. E3 is coming up so we should see a lot more being revealed. >Games being shoved out the door unfinished Such as? >Also what more can they possible add to the games we have now other then better graphics and faster loading times 60fps on everything Haptic Feedback/Adaptive Triggers 3D Audio PS5 exclusives that will come out later PC/PS5 exclusives(like deathloop, ghostwire tokyo, etc) if you don't own a gaming PC. >Shit that annoys me the most are Lootboxes and microtransactions Lootboxes were far more prominent in 8th gen. Especially 2017 when Injustice 2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 came out. I haven't seen it in any of it in the games i've played that came out recently. Microtransactions aren't an issue unless the devs intentionally take what should be in the base game and lock it to a microtransaction. Haven't really noticed that either. >gaming was always about creativity It still is. Ever played Ghostrunner? If you look beyond just the triple A games everyone talks about there's plenty of creativity. And it feels more creative already than 8th gen where there were so many soulslike games, open world game and cinematic walking games. There is more variety now than 8th gen.
  16. People were complaining about that like 5 years ago. If anything i've heard less complaints about that since the late 10s. If we're going back 10 years(7th gen not 8th gen which is the previous), everyone shat on that era of gaming for it being too oversaturated with first person shooters, the brown/gray realism colour filter and the gen being fille dto the brim with buggy, stuttering games.
  17. Pokemon games are classified into generations. Gen 1 being Pokemon red, blue, yellow. Gen 2 being gold, silver, crystal. Gen 3 being ruby, sapphire, emerald, fire red, leaf green, etc.
  18. My rankings: Gen 5 > Gen 6 > Gen 4 > Gen 7 > Gen 3 > Gen 2 > Gen 1 > Gen 8
  19. Doesn't bother me unless it's meme tier awful, theyre are many bigger factors than that.
  20. I rarely do side quests unless I need to grind, acquire a certain resource or it is very closely tied to the main plot and looks interesting.
