Does anyone else remember Alf?

Most of these video games companies have given up on being creative and unique when it comes to their games development. It's mostly copies and improved graphics that they are very good at now. Only in game's aesthetics is where they have worked on extensively with finding several ways to cash in on the games whether it's worth it or not. 

I've made friends playing games but it's never lasted much longer than the game. I play mmos so I've had friends for years in the mmo. But when I moved on the friendship ended.
But then I don't voice chat. So our interaction was never as deep as those who chat while online.
I have a friend whose been friends for 10+ years with some online people. They meet weekly online to chat and play games

I'm fairly similar I think. I've always described myself as an "extroverted introvert" in that when I open up to people I can be very lively and social, but it's also very draining and sometimes I enjoy just being for myself for an entire week, playing Red Dead Redemption 2 or some other big single-player adventure. I do like playing online, but mostly with real-life friends as I enjoy the social aspect more than the competitive aspect.
There's a difference between being lonely and just wanting to be alone sometimes and that's totally fine :)

I've never really played online much, i did it for a while during the early 360 days until i realised it was nothing for me and it's safe to say i rather play games on my own and create my own version of what is fun to me.  I don't really have a problem with communicating with others as i'm a fairly social type of guy who can talk to pretty much anybody about whatever but i do however as you state it yourself don't really feel the need to be social, there are times where i'd rather be alone and just want to do my own thing wheter it's playing videogames or doing something else like go out hiking solo for an entire day. You shouldn't  see it as a problem when somebody wants to spend some time alone or just want to be left alone alltogheter, no on the contrary it's a good characteristic to have.

I don't have any problems with playing both online in multiplayer games and also playing solo by myself alone. But if you ask me the one which I enjoy the most, it's going to playing alone because it cuts out all the nonsense that I would have do deal with playing with others. 

Your stance towards multiplayer games is understandable - Nowadays, multiplayer games have become so toxic, that I'm not half as interested in playing rounds with randoms anymore. I mean, it's just a game and people need to lighten up.

Hmmm...This is a good question. Well mine would be the following:
The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
and
Starfield
The game looks alright but because it's a Bethesda game, I know that the modding community will be hard at work so I can't wait to see what kind of mods they create for it.

I will be waiting to see what Lego Bricktales bring to the table. I watch the trailer here 
and I am pretty excited about my October will be.

are there games coming to any of the platforms you play on that you're looking forward to purchasing and playing?
i saw two that i think i will want when they come out. one is called story of seasons: a wonderful life. and the other is called lego brick tales.

i am 56 yrs old. i'm not interested in investing hours and hours pouring over youtube videos trying to figure out how to play. i tried survival mode and was dead in approx. 5 min. froze to death. lmao! i think it's best i let the idea go. haha!

i have tried to play minecraft like 6 times. i just don't get it. i don't understand what i'm supposed to be doing. i've tried every single world mode there is. it's my understanding that you can't mine for what you need in creative and i'm just at a loss. i simply don't understand what this game is about or what i'm supposed to do and i finally have given up. the only mode i can get the controls to work in is creative. the other modes i can't even get my character to jump up on anything. i'm not a stupid person but this game makes absolutely no sense to me. to me it's the equivalent of roblox. i tried that too. didn't get it either. the game has just left me confused every time i've played it.

It depends on the game. Some of the games I hate the sounds so much that I play them muted. Some I have to lower the sound on certain aspects. Some are just too repetitive or too annoying. They start bugging my anxiety. 

If this ever get's implemented into actual video games, it had better come with the ability to turn it the fuck off. If I'm playing a game because I want a challenge, I don't want the game to turn the difficulty level down because I'm getting frustrated. Likewise, if I'm playing a game more casually and just revelling the story, I don't want the game to decide I'm not being tested enough and suddenly make it harder.  I admire the technical ability to do this, I really so, but nobody wants this. It's just another pointless experiment in trying to fix something that isn't broken.

This is why I always made use of at least two reviews in any game's that I'm interested in playing before deciding to purchase the game, so that it doesn't end badly for me and my poor money 💷. 

Yeah, you're right about how these gaming companies are making our beloved gaming an expensive hobby which wasn't that way years ago. It's what we have come to face today and they are certainly not going to stop at it. 

And those things aren't cheap either. I don't wanna get them because once they decide they're done with it, then I've wasted $500 on something I can no longer use? I'm sorry but that seems like an awful thing to force gamers to do. This is an expensive hobby and they should be more respectful of the time and money we put into it. 

we had daily and weekly side quests on fortnite but i finally gave up trying to do them because i couldn't just go do them. i spent too much time trying to not get shot and then i'd either die or storm was on me so no quests accomplished. someone told me to try it in team rumble which was a ridiculous idea. i finally gave up.

I got Skyrim and played it some and then just decided I wasn't interested. I don't like gory games.

They occasionally make pc games for the Switch. They recently brought us Ooblets which is a cute little game. A lot of times when they make something for the Switch the graphics tend to be lacking. Some of the games the gameplay is really screwed up. So I get that not all pc games can be brought over. It's nice when it works out though.

I've been wishing for that since the early 2000's but Nintendo values their franchises so deeply and the money they make from them that even just holding an unofficial event commemorating those characters can end up with you being sued by Nintendo. They want their properties to remake on Nintendo platforms only and that's why they always go after Emulator makers and others like that.
