This is one game I could see myself playing. Looks like the perfect cosy game that I could spend hours on and just get lost in. I will admit, I don't tend to play too many cosy games but I feel that is because I need something newer to play. This game is going on my Wishlist and will be checking it out on release!

This games looks awesome and I do like that they have the puzzle elements. Will be adding this to my Wishlist and will be keeping an eye on it but it seems this will be a game that I will be checking out.

LEGO Shuts Down BIONICLE Fan Made Game After 8 Years of Development
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
This is sad news, to have worked for 8 years on the game just for it to be shutdown is very sad. I am glad that they have rebranded though and are working on something else, will give those who were waiting for BIONICLE something to look forward to. -
Grand Theft Auto IV to get a remaster for PS5 & Xbox Series X|S?
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I had heard something about this but took it with a grain of salt due to there being no official announcement as of yet from Rockstar. I guess with GTA VI being pushed back to 2026 now it would make sense to release something between now and before that release and would be a perfect way to get those who never played GTA IV to be able to check it out. -
Neil Druckmann Reveals He’s Working on an Unannounced Game at Naughty Dog
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Looking forward to hearing more about this but I have to agree with you, I too am hoping it does not end up being another remaster/remake from Naughty Dog, as you said, it feels like that is all they release nowadays and it won't be much of a surprise to hear that we are getting another remake or remaster. -
I saw this the other day and if it happens, this is going to be amazing and will definitely push the Xbox console out to more eyes. Most tend to just not bother because they may not play too many games on Xbox and it costs too much to buy or build a PC, so this would be a big interest in those looking to find a way to play Steam without the extortionate price to buy a PC.

Bungie admits Marathon art was “stolen” by former employee
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I hate to hear this. Many put so much work into art and for companies to be as scummy as this and use it without either paying them or giving them credit. I do hope they change things and give her credit for the work. -
Xbox May Update: Retro Classics Come to Xbox Game Pass
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
This is awesome to see. Many always worry about retro classics being lost and forgotten but when you see game developers and companies do things like this, you know they are willing to do it and can only hope that they will continue to do it for other games from other developers. I will be checking this out for sure, love me some retro games. -
When I think back to 90s games, the things I remember that made them so memorable was the not only being able to play with friends and family in person but also the soundtracks for the games too. You don't get soundtracks like you used to any more for games like we did in the 90s. One other thing that I found made 90s games so memorable was the once your lives were gone, you had to start again.

What game do you keep going back to no matter what?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
Stardew Valley is a beautiful game and I can understand why you would find it your digital comfort too! I haven't played Stardew Valley in a long time but will admit that it is a game I know I could go back to and instantly fall in love with again. -
Is early access ruining game releases, or helping developers?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
I agree, as much as I they can get some valuable feedback, it also leaves developers open for as you say, rushed launches due to impatience which then lead to bugs, some of which have in the past been game breaking. -
At the moment I will be honest and say that I don't feel I have a game of the year yet for 2025 which is unusual for me. Some updates on games in 2025 have been welcomed and I have enjoyed but when it comes to actual game releases, I haven't found one that jumps out at me.

What game defined your childhood or teenage years?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
For myself, there are a few games that defined my childhood years and they are Yoshi's Island - This game is one that I spent many hours on, either on my own or with my brothers and my mum. Alex The Kidd - This game was played and many memories were made with my cousin who helped my brothers and I with the rock, paper, scissors mini game. -
I feel you when it comes to backlogs. My video game backlog is huge and even though these titles look amazing, it only means adding more to my already very long backlog.

One indie game that came to mind pretty much straight away when I saw this thread was Getting Over it with Bennet Foddy. This game takes careful and precise movement when it comes to swinging the hammer to make it to the next available place on the game. Falling was so stressful and rage is very much a thing with this game.

I last played Pet Simulator 99 on Roblox and I am still playing it now. Getting used to the new farming event they have on there which at the moment, is quite fun to play. I have also been playing a lot of Monopoly Go as well in between playing Pet Simulator 99.

Let's say you were given the chance to direct a Nintendo movie, something involving Mario, Kirby, Zelda, etc. All the ideas would be yours and you could turn your ideas into a huge movie. What would your movie look like? Would you keep it to one game or would you base it around different games?

We have seen so many sequels over the years from Nintendo but there are still some sequels that have not been made that we wish to see made. What is your dream sequel that Nintendo still has not made?

Is early access ruining game releases, or helping developers?
Shortie posted a topic in Gaming Forum
Early access is something we see a lot now when it come to new games that are being developed for release. Early access allows gamers to play the game and reports bugs or other issues they find within a game to help the developers fix any issues before full release of the game. What are your thoughts on early access releases? Do you feel this is helping developers? -
I don't know about anyone else but I always have that one game that even though I take a break from it, I will always go back to at some point. At the moment that game for me has very much been Fortnite when I have had the time but in terms of single player games, that would have to be Hogwarts Legacy when I have had the time. What game do you keep going back to no matter what?

We are just over 5 months into 2025, almost 6 months in and so far we have seen some great video game releases. Of all the video game releases we have had so far this year, what would you say is your Game of the Year so far?

As a gamer myself, I have played so many different games over the years, some of which I would never feel like I wasted my time on and some that if I could go back, I would probably play another game over that one. As a gamer yourself, what game defined your childhood or teenage years? Why was it this game?
