I went through a really rough mentally abusive relationship for a while which I was scared to get out of at first due to what had been said to me. I found comfort in playing video games which too my mind away from what I was going through and as much as it didn't get me out of the situation it helped me get through the tough times. I am now happy to say I am out of the situation but I suffer a lot of mental health issues now because of that and even now, gaming is a get away for me when I have bad mental health days.

I have 3 emails myself. One that is for my gaming so for my Xbox account and such, one that is for personal use so that anything personal goes to that for example emails from school, billing emails, receipts for bills paid and such and then I have my email that I use for work where everything goes in there for work. I feel if I were to have anymore than that I would confuse myself so I keep things as simple as I can.

Keeping stress levels down is always a must. I always feel when my stress levels are increasing if I can shut off on a game with some music it instantly helps. Even when I am working from home, putting my ear buds in and listening to music whilst I am working helps so much just to drown out anything in the background and keep your focus, helps prevent stress a lot.

I had forgotten about Angry Birds LOL. I remember playing that and man was it frustrating. I think they ended up just ending development on that game if I remember rightly. That was another game that was fun at first but soon died off after a while.

Game Informer Magazine the only gaming magazine in print today?
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't tend to look at magazines now as much as I used to as I don't tend to buy them like I used to so I am unsure whether we still have any kinds of gaming magazines like we used to. My kids will usually mention to me if they see them though as they tend to look at the magazines a lot but they haven't mentioned anything. It's a shame as they used to have some really good gaming magazines back in the day but with everything being online now, many companies just do not see the point in printing them if they may not sell. -
It is such a shame that they had to cancel as much as they did due to COVID and I really feel like it did hit them pretty hard with so many top companies pulling out now that would normally end up being a huge part of it. Do I feel it can make a comeback? Possibly but at the moment, it is looking like it is dying which is a shame. I always looked forward to E3 every year and now it's just not there anymore or it is very minimal.

I agree, definitely not an EA game and from the reviews I have heard it seems like it is an absolutely amazing game and I am gutted I am unable to play it at the moment. I do feel though even though it is early days that this is very much going to be Game of The Year and I will be very shocked if it doesn't get that. This game is loved by many even those who are not huge Harry Potter fans. My eldest son isn't a Harry Potter fan himself and he even wants to play it.

Yeah, it's a bit of a shame that you need 1000 followers to be able to go live. I think that is a little overkill as it prevents so many people who want to use the platform from being able to do so. They really should look into monitoring lives better and allowing it from when people register or from a smaller amount of followers. A lot of whom go live on TikTok do follow for follow to get the live feature and then just sit there and stare at the chat whilst live, complete waste if you ask me. Would never dream of doing follow for follow as it never helps.

I think to be honest, the reason most are excited for the new WWE game is due to the fact it is for John Cena and his 20 year anniversary which would make sense as he has been a huge star throughout his career. I think that is why my kids are more interested in it at the moment to be honest.

I had considered getting a smart watch myself as my mum has one and she loves it and is able to do so much with it but I haven't had the funds to be able to do so. Would love to be able to jump on one though in the future if I am able to.

Yeah that is the only issue when it comes to buying the console now, you would need to be sure it was all in working order and how you needed it to be otherwise you would face spending money and being without.

I haven't played a dice game in such a long time but yahtzee was a game I used to really enjoy especially with friends. We used to have a ton of fun together playing that. I have heard of Dice with Buddies but have not played it. I may have to try it out as I have started playing more mobile games just recently so always looking for more.

I don't have any specific fitness tracker on my phone but it does have a built in fitness tracker with the health app that I have on my phone and one of the features it has is to track how many steps you make each day. I find this useful if I am honest so that I can try and get my 10,000 steps in on the day if I am feeling up to it and I can keep track of that with my phone. Usually most phones have a built in health app that have a lot of good features for fitness.

Does anybody save their old iPhone (s) ?
Shortie replied to melanie_marie27's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I have many old iPhones that we have kept that either myself or my kids no longer use as we have upgraded to a newer phone but I always keep them regardless as you never know when you may need them. It was lucky as my youngest his phone packed up a few weeks before Christmas and even though he was getting a new phone for Christmas, he was able to go back to one of the old iPhones for those few weeks so he still had a phone that worked. -
How entertainment affects your pets
Shortie replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Technology & Gadgets
Wow, seems like it can be difficult when you play video games for sure. Is your conure a pet you have had since it being born or did it have previous owners? Sometimes with animals they may react to something after they have had something happen previously. My mums cat is a rescue cat and she used to panic, run and hide but always be watching my brothers feet when he walked through the house, my mum later found out the previous owners had abused her and the one abusing her was tall like my brother so she instantly thought he would do the same thing. -
I used to do that when I was younger but not too much. Nowadays though if I wanted to I wouldn't be able to manage to much due to my health issues, having a hernia and also suffering fibromyalgia. I do try to stay active though by walking a lot.

This is the first time I am hearing of this game. Was it a really popular game? Doesn't seem to be one that was really out there it seems with me not hearing about it. It does sound interesting though with the telekinetic powers & abilities instead of guns, especially since most games now tend to use things like guns.

The James Bond themes are really good I will admit. I don't think there is a single James Bond theme that I can say I dislike but if I were to choose a favorite one it would have to be Goldfinger and also Diamonds Are Forever by Dame Shirley Bassey.

When someone asks me what song I remember from my childhood the first song that comes to mind is a song I used to absolutely love as a kid and because I loved the song so much my Mum actually bought me the single on vinyl for my birthday. The song was I Should Be So Lucky by Kylie Minogue

I feel like much of the music I like now is music that I grew up with and I still listen to it to this day but I do have music that I got into as I got older such as Country music and also KPOP as well that I now listen to which has just broadened my listening to music that bit further. I still listen to artists like Barry Manilow, The Carpenters, Elvis Presley, Gene Pitney, Beatles and many more that I grew up listening to.

I have honestly never understood why people need to have their music so loud in the car that everyone can hear it. The whole point of you listening to music in your car is so you can hear it, it's something for you and the passengers in your car. It is also a huge distraction I feel as well to the driver to have the music really loud not only on keeping an eye on the road but also for things like hearing and being aware of emergency vehicles as well as you usually hear those before you see the lights or the vehicle.

When it comes to music I always listen to music either through Spotify or YouTube Music depending on which subscription I have at the time. I like to listen to music with earbuds when possible so that I can shut out other sounds and concentrate. When it comes to the radio I don't always listen to the radio and the one time I tend to listen to it a lot is around Christmas time when a radio station called Magic does their Magic Christmas which is non-stop Christmas music from the 27th November to the 28th December.

I am quite a shy and quiet person in real life so I would think that if I had a sound for my personality it would probably be a calming sound such a leaves in the wind or a river flowing or something along those lines. I definitely wouldn't expect my personality sound to be something really loud and energetic.

Out of all the movies I have seen, the Harry Potter movies would have to be the one type of music from a movie that I love. Can never tire of Harry Potter at all and the music always hits different compared to other movies and their music.

At the school I went to they had drama but we were never offered any kind of film class, no. Even with drama we never really did anything that would have helped us get into any kind of acting at all which is a shame as I knew many people who would have loved to be actors or actresses in school at the time.
