  1. Hard choice. I would honestly have to say the Switch Lite (but the regular Switch is great). I get why they made a Lite, but to be honest, it wasn't really needed in the first place, the Switch itself is enough IMO.
  2. Hopefully they will expand it somewhat, soon, like they did with Zero Dawn, and bring it to PC. I'm glad I was able to snag a PS5 to play this and avoid spoilers for years to come, but some of my friends do not have any consoles and don't ever plan to get one. The first game I did play on PC since I did not have any consoles at that time; so glad I was able to only avoid spoilers for a short bit since I got the first game on PC not knowing there was a second. So I was able to avoid all spoilers, which has made me happy.
  3. It's always sad to see many gamers, or gaming developers, losing their jobs. I feel most gaming companies could probably be 100% remote, with no physical office to add to expenses. They should mostly be able to get away with that, or just a small suite in a mall or something for their headquarters to significantly lower their costs.
  4. Yes. It is oversaturated, and some of the thing that gained popularity with them have gotten their way into a bunch of other genres too. We don't need a "Battle Pass" in non-Battle-Royales, IMO. MMO's? I guess I can see some use for it in those, though. Don't need it for basically ANY other genre except BR and MMORPG's, in my humble opinion. I don't even play Battle Royales, since they're not really my style of game.
  5. Yep! That's what I like, you can through emulation (which is kinda a grey area) play any game. PC, Console, handheld, and more. I do not emulate a game unless I have legally paid for a copy of it. Like in the case of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for the 3DS, which I do not own one. I bought a physical copy of it, even though I can't actually play it on a physical device. I can play on my PC though!
  6. I was not able to get Starfield until about a month or month and a half after its release, and it was difficult to avoid spoilers. But now that I have started playing through it, I enjoy it mostly. There are a couple of things I do not like about it, namely there is a lot language in it, and I rarely play games with a lot of it in there. Most the time I only play rated T games at most. There are a few exceptions like Starfield, and the upcoming game Deathground (aliens, but with dinos).
  7. I tried it for a little bit, I do not like it. Overwatch, the original, was much much better. Free to play invites hackers. So I probably will not return to overwatch ever. Which is too bad, I enjoyed overwatch once in a while with friends, and I usually play Junkrat because I liked the personality of the character. Unless they have plans to constantly update the game and keep preventing hackers from getting in ever, then I probably will not play it. I do not play against hackers who might have aimbot or wall hacks.
  8. If you count PC as a console… Then yes! LOL because you can also emulate game consoles if you wanted. So there is thousands and thousands of games available.
  9. I used to play Minecraft a lot, but lately I almost never load it up. I would say back in the days of 1.7 are when I was the most active with Minecraft. I used to be pretty active on a couple of private SMPs, but ever since Mixer shut down, which means my friends server also shut down around that time, I kinda lost interest all over again.
  10. I personally would recommend playing the first game first and then the second game. I know this thread is a month old, but hopefully this will help other people that are looking for the same answer. Both games are amazing, and I am glad that I played the first game first, since there are references to the first game in the second game.
  11. I played a short little bit here and there, but it did not really keep my attention. I thought since I enjoy racing games, I might enjoy a car sports game LOL. But not this one. It is all right, I can handle short bursts here and there but not for too long at once.
  12. There are private servers based on an old Disney game. It is called Toontown. They are free to play. There are currently two different servers with some changes: Toontown rewritten – the vanilla experience that Disney had with a few extremely minor quality of life tweaks and that is it. Once you select your tracks, you are stuck with them forever. corporate clash – the modernized experience. Much less grind, and you can basically have one toon that you can change your build whenever you want.
  13. Oh man, I love Spyro! I preordered the reignited trilogy on my Xbox, and the very minute that it was available to play. I was on it like for four to five hours until 5 AM LOL. And then later on I bought it on my Nintendo switch, and my PC. Now, I primarily played on my PC. Because it is easier to live broadcast direct for my PC. Have any of you heard of Glyde the Dragon? Spyro is basically it's spiritual predecessor in a sense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf3NFJ2Lmjc <-- Glyde Trailer
  14. I can never listen to this song too many times. I can listen to this on repeat for a couple hours easily, before switching to another Jurassic Park song.
  15. My first ever console that was just mine? PlayStation 5 LOL. I have been PC for the last 20 years, basically. And when I was a kid, it was all shared.
  16. It is a small community right now, but yeah. It seems like most of the other forums that are dinosaur related have some different limitations and we do. Since we run a PG community we do not allow swearing of course, but it seems like two or three of the other top dinosaur forums do not allow signatures. I am the only one that allows it, it feels like haha (at least, compared to what I saw on one of them with some extreme limitations). Hopefully I will learn some things here and there on this site.
  17. I primarily game on my PC. But I also do have a PlayStation 5. The PlayStation 5 is primarily for PlayStation exclusives and stuff like that. Things like the Horizon zero and and Horizon forbidden West games. Although the first games now available on PC, who knows how long it will take for the second game to be available. I do not want to have to avoid spoilers for 3 to 4 years. LOL
  18. I miss the days where gaming on consoles did not really cost anything. Like the earlier days of Nintendo before they started charging. That is another reason why I am primarily a PC gamer. I do own a PlayStation plus with the PlayStation five, but to be honest, I might let my PlayStation plus expire and not renew it. Considering that they are raising the prices up a fair amount.
  19. I have never pre-ordered a console, and I rarely ever preorder games. There is rare instances that I will preorder or kickstart a game. Mostly if it is related to the niche that I enjoy, dinosaurs. I have kick started multiple indie dinosaur games, and one of them failed pretty badly. It is unfortunate, it had a lot of potential to have an amazing paleo-accurate design, but one of their former staff members ran off with a bunch of their money, so the game is had a significant slowdown in their development cycle and it seems to take years for an update.
  20. I use my PC for literally everything. Even playing my PlayStation! I connect my PlayStation to a capture card to my PC. I use my PC for blogging, gaming, streaming, video editing, Discord, and more.
  21. I did not preorder, I only got mine like 4 to 5 months ago? A friend gifted me the PlayStation. Sort of. They bought it for me since I am unemployed and I can pay him back once I find a job, finally. He says no rush so I can take the time I need to find the right job. I got a digital only version to save him 100 bucks. Which is fine, because I had an external SSD that I can plug in for PS4 games.
  22. Hello! My name is Kenson, and I am the owner of the Mesozoic Haven community. We are primarily focused around dinosaurs and dinosaur entertainment, and that is one of my favorite niche's of all time. We run a PG community which keeps me happy since my entire family is comfortable with that. My favorite games of all time would have to be: Ark survival evolved, and the upcoming survival ascended remaster. Horizon franchise [Zero Dawn and forbidden West] Monster Hunter universe [I have only played world, rise, and stories 1 and 2] If you want to learn anything more about me, feel free to ask in this thread.
  23. That would have to be Starfield. Monster Hunter rises basically a portable version of Monster Hunter. Which means a Nintendo switch can run it. Some people are comparing Starfield to the new Crysis. lol
  24. They are definitely one of those franchises that are very fun to play. Sometimes when I do not feel like doing multiplayer on my streams, I will choose Horizon as my backup fairly often.
  25. I enjoy both kinds of games. But I do tend to prefer Single-player story games, or co-op games that can add story to them. Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West are my two favorite story-based games.
