  1. I believe that the human mind is neither creative enough nor intelligent enough to create something like a dragon. Hence I believe that they are real, but have simply left this realm because they knew what mankind was going to end up doing. To me it's on the same level as extraterrestrial life. But as far as I'm concerned when it comes to ET alone, anyone who denies the existence of extraterrestrial life, is an arrogant, narcissistic, idiot. The universe is infinite. Dragons have just left this plane for another one. Maybe the multiverse theory is correct.
  2. I'd say the Dover Daemon is probably the rarest lore. Maybe Mothman. I'm assuming we're mainly talking about cryptids. If it's a legend, then I could be how Bear Tower (you know it as Devil's Tower) came into existence. My personal favorite legends are the 100 step cemetery, Stull cemetery, and La Llorona.
  3. We have only a year, possible 3 left of being a democracy. In the mid terms next year, the republiKKKlans are going to slaughter us. They're going to push for Adolf to be speaker of the house to replace Pelosi, and in 2024, he's going to be on the republiKKKlan ticket. When he runs, we all know he is going to rig the election, just like he did in 2016. But this time, when 2028 comes, he won't be going anywhere. he will refuse to leave, and use the military to stay in power. It's a terrifying thought. And at that time, I will give him exactly what he seems to want. I will leave the country, and officially go to whatever government office I need to, in order to renounce my US citizenship. And I will never be back. Not to visit where I was born and raised, not to visit any tourist attractions, not to fly over on my way somewhere else. I'll be near most likely. Either in Mexico or Canada. Canada is the leader there. If it's neither of them, then I'm leaving the continent and moving in with @Shagger. LOL Ring of Fire has already reported on this exact issue.
  4. The kids here won't remember any of these, but those of us that are older definitely do. I'm still on a rage quit from a couple myself. 😋
  5. Medium
  6. I always wanted to take martial arts, but only a few and only from someone from either China or Japan. Considering that I wanted to learn Kung Fu, I wanted to find a Chinese master. They treat it as more than a self defense course, or just a way to kick someone’s ass, the way we do in the west. It’s a true art form from a true teacher. They teach you to use your mind first and your fist last. They teach you how to harness the wisdom of the art through the knowledge of the art. I always dreamed of living with my master and being trained day and night until he/she decided that my training with them was complete. The type of master that takes only one student. And I’m talking diapers, to adulthood. But that’s a pipe dream, and besides, I’m too old and crippled now. I’ll just have to stick to my guns. Literally.
  7. There's not a lot of difference on that. The politicians here typically don't give a shit about the citizens. They're usually just a bunch of assholes on a power trip, that are only looking to pad their bank account.
  8. We're both gamers for life. She just doesn't post online much. But she has been gaining interest in the forum. Now if she would just stop stealing my clothes.....
  9. As we said in the greatest decade ever, the 1980's: Rock on dude!
  10. Exactly. I can't see anything. It's tunnel vision on steroids. I can't see what I'm doing, where I'm going, or what's around me. And as another example, if you're hunting an apex predator in a game, how are you supposed to react if it comes up from behind you? You'll be lucky to know, because a lot of them move so fast and silent that you don't know what the hell is going on until you're already dead.
  11. In response to @Empire's post HERE I'm giving this a bump, as it seems more relevant now.
  12. What damn difference does it make? You don't have a clue how big or small my feet are, so what's it to you? Who said anything about wearing them under my shoes? I wear them as slipper socks, since everything on the bottom is rubbery.
  13. It all depends on the game. Some games just couldn't work in one of the two view points. For example Layers Of Fear: Legacy would never work in third person. It would completely break the immersion of the game, and the horror aspect would be gone. And that's what the game is. A first person Rose Red-esque horror game. But take a game like RDR2, and put it in first person, and the only thing I will do is die repeatedly. I can't see a damn thing in first person in that kind of game. I have to be able to see the environment all around me, or I'm wasting my time even owning the game. One game that I will always love that's first person is Hexen. That one is great, and was honestly my introduction to first person games. I had never been into Doom, because I was never a big fan of games that required a gun. And I'm still not, for the most part. So I never really saw any kind of first person games. If the creators want to offer both viewpoints on a game, then that's on them. I think it would open up their sales reach drastically. But some games just can't pull off one or the other, and still be a good game. My 2 cents anyway.
  14. She and I have been together for 17 years.
  15. I've done all the confirming I need. I have the socks in my possession. What's left to confirm? Are you saying I'm a liar and that such socks don't exist?
  16. Anyone have any special or specific plans for Thanksgiving next week? I’m going to be doing the same thing I did last year. Sitting at home with a can of corn. @Rain Dew spends the holidays with her parents, but I don’t have anyone to be with. Her parents and I hate each other way too much for me to be around them without getting violent. So TV and a can of corn is my plan and my dinner. Same as last year. My Thanksgiving dinner was a can of corn last year, so I see no reason that it would be any different this year.
  17. Surprise, surprise.
  18. I know Red Dead Revolver was technically the first in the entire series, but I'm going to talk as if it never existed. I've watched @Rain Dew play RDR a few times, and it looks as fun as just about any other games. But I'm an RDR2 addict. And I mean ADDICT. I'm not asking peoples thoughts on a graphics basis. I'm asking your thoughts and preferences on a gameplay basis. Of those that have played, (or watched others play) the both of them, which do you prefer? Like I said, RDR looks like a lot of fun. I saw her play, and I've watched a shitload of videos on YouTube. But I'm still into RDR2. I just can't get away from it. The prequel story, just has so much more dramatic content. There's loyalty, treason, love, hate, war, peace, successe, failure, and it's all internal withing a gang that is closer than blood. I would literally kill for a family like that. A place where I am accepted for who I am, and no longer the worlds whipping child. I could have joined the Folk Nation at one time, but chose not to. Here we go again, I'm getting off topic. But to sum up, RDR2 is my game. RDR has more redeeming qualities than I can list, but the prequel is where I'm at. God, I'm way too damn obsessed with this damn game. I'll start talking about bottling up my dogs farts and using them as chemical warfare. At least that topic would get me off RDR2 for a while.
  19. One thing I neglected to mention is that I was a cowgirl when I was younger. I was a bullrider as a teenager. Now I'm a total city girl. Needless to say, the pressures of my previous life, are happily left behind and forgotten.
