What tells you’re too obsessed with a game?
The Blackangel replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
I already talk like them. I have an accent that would match the way Arthur talks. Mine is a stronger southern drawl than his though. I grew up in the country on a small stock farm, and have a heavy redneck way of talking. Just ask @Rain Dew and she’ll confirm it. Think Granny Clampton. As for the cookies though….. -
I saw them online and had to have them.

The only way I can see that actually working would be to have a camera at the register and to use face recognition technology to identify people, and a rating show up on their risk level. Then it would determine how much alcohol they could buy. And if they tried to go to multiple liquor stores or bars, they would be red flagged and refused. But then again, that would be dependent on anyone selling being willing to follow the law, or not be willing to go in for them to get them the booze. No matter what mouse trap you build, there is always a mouse that can get the cheese without setting it off.

I was thinking just now. Something hit me. When I saw that there was a RDR2 Zippo, I had to get it. You all know I collect Zippos. At the time Rockstar had a feature on their website that you could get a bundle. I got the Zippo, a steelbook, t-shirt, candle, and a copy of the ultimate edition of the game, which I already had. We have at current 3 PS4’s. One in our living room, one in my office, and one in the bedroom. I play RDR2 nonstop. What makes me think I’m a bit too much into the game is that I also have several images on my phone that are my wallpaper, and I have the RDR2 app as well. The damn game has invaded even my phone. There’s not a whole lot that I can’t tell you about the game. I’m not an RDR2 encyclopedia, but I do know the game really well. But when you download an app on your phone, maybe it’s going a little far?

Forgotten classic games that could use a remake?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
All of the true classics have gotten a remake in one form or another. For example, Donkey Kong became DKC. It would take a lot of searching even for me to find one that hasn’t been done yet. And everyone here already knows that I play classic systems almost exclusively. There is a whole horde of games on the Atari 2600. More than any other system to date. But even with that range, most of them were either duds or flops. Hell, ET was one of the biggest movies of the century, yet the game flopped so hard, that Atari dumped hundreds of copies in the desert. If you can find a game worthy of remembrance (by the masses) that hasn’t been remade a hundred times, then you’re damn lucky to have come across it. Even us classic gamers are hard pressed to find one. -
What game in current gen feaures the most realistic graphics?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
RDR2 has the most lifelike and realistic graphics I’ve ever seen in a video game. Graphics so real, that in all honesty, the first time I saw the game being played I actually asked @Rain Dew what movie she was watching. -
They're taking us back to the dark ages. They think they're the nobility and we're the serfs. For those that don't know, serf is a class below peasant. More or less a slave but owned by the land of their lord as well. We can't win in a civil manner. Unless that civil manner is a civil war. The only way we have left is a full on civil war. It's the only option to save the union and get everything back on track. An assassination of Adolf would need to be the first mission though. If they lost their golden calf, maybe some of them would get a little bit of sense. Not a lot, (they're too far gone to hope for that) but just a touch maybe.

I only preorder from places like GameStop, and that's only when I know the people working there and have a good rapport with them. The ones working at the GS near me, I know really well on a customer basis, and they have never done me wrong. So if I was wanting to preorder something, I know I could do it there, and they wouldn't screw me.

I don't think so. To my knowledge it was a PS3 era release that didn't get a re-release, and the plans for a Dante's Inferno 2 were scrapped a while back. Your only options at this point is to get either a PS3, Xbox 360, or Xbox One. The 360 version of the game is supported by the reverse play on an Xbox One. Otherwise, you're kinda screwed.

9 ball is a good one when you're playing alone. I used to play it a lot to kill time.

If it's something that you truly don't have the ability to complete, and finish, then I think there should be a way to skip it. But it should be after a minimum number of tries, then at the gamers discretion. Lets say there's a particular gunfight in RDR2, that's part of the story line. You can't advance the game until you escape that fight alive. But no matter how many times you try, you simply can't do it. You take cover, you use health tonics, you have enough ammo for the weapons you're carrying. But you just can't beat that one part. Then there should be an option to skip it. This is the reason I quit playing Guitar Hero. I think it was GH3. There was a point that you had to battle an AI guitar opponent. It was the only way to advance. Well I got mine used, and even though it had the manual, nothing told me how you were supposed to beat this one. This one was different from the previous ones which were slouches. I tried a million times, and could never beat it. So I simply said "fuck this", put the controller down, and never played it again. But then again, I wasn't the biggest fan of either the Wii or the game franchise either. Not to mention that the damn guitar is right handed.

This would be daily for me. I'm arguing with myself about which to hook up next. My N64 or my NES. I want to play both of them, but the small TV I keep by my PC setup for gaming can only take one at a time. At the moment, my SNES has been hooked up for a long ass time, and I've been playing and replaying Zelda for the most part. But it's time to make a change. I might go for my Atari 2600, or Sega Genesis, but it's not likely. And for those wondering, none of this is that worthless, vomit inducing flashback bullshit. These are the real systems. Not the emulator boxes that only LOOK like the systems.

Game case recommendation for the Nintendo Switch?
The Blackangel replied to Sharon's topic in Nintendo
Do you mean laptop? -
Dante's Inferno is an amazing game. I got it on PS3 when it came out, because it just looked completely badass, and I was right. I never knew it was on PSP, however. Hell I even named the macaw I used to have Dante's Inferno. We just called him Dante though. But back to the game, I'm almost willing to guarantee that you will love it if you haven't played it.

Like the title says, things like PS5 and Xbox Series X/S aren't viable answers for this. PC is also not a viable answer for this question. Personally I have a Switch, PS4, and Xbox One, so I can't answer this. But for those who don't, which would you want the most? Why do you want that one? Are you like me, and want it for only on single game? Are you a loyalist to that console? Are you wanting it because it just has some awesome game exclusives? Or is there another reason?

I don't know where you're from, but you could try Craigslist. That's where I got my Switch Lite. I got it like new, and for half the price a brand new one would have cost. I've never had a single issue with it. I put a 512g card in it, have 113 DDL's on it, and like 30 games on carts. A lot of them are multi game carts. So I would definitely recommend looking there.

I was pretty good when I was younger. I could cut and bank pretty well for a novice. I enjoyed shooting pool whenever I had the time and couldn't think of anything better to do. But as it sits, my pool table hasn't been used in years. Which is probably when it sits in the basement at @Rain Dew's parents house.

Is that your reason for the rules for these contests? Instead of bidding we have to post? Naughty @DC! No cookie for you! Now go sit in the corner and think about what you have done.

Artificial Intelligence would be a requirement for this. The car would have to be able to think, and then decide whether to take over the drive, or to let the person behind the wheel continue to drive. Think something like the movie Demolition Man. Or cars would have to be fully unmanned as far as a driver goes, and you just program the address in to where you want to go, and it takes you there. But once again, that's fiction at our current level of technology. It may not be for much longer, but at this current moment, it is. There are so many variables that could influence a valid, trustworthy reading on the BAC of the driver, that I don't see any of this truly being effective any time soon. If ever.

In my almost 40 years on this planet, I have preordered one game. I won't say I had a bad experience, because I didn't. I only preordered because the edition I wanted had tons of exclusives only available in a preorder exclusive version of the game. The game was For Honor: Gold Edition. it was preorder only, and had so much extra to offer.
