  1. Wrong. Very very wrong. It's not necessary in any way to associate with people. Many people lead a healthy life without human contact. Some are agoraphobic and can't handle human contact. I'm not agoraphobic, I just hate people. Which is why I keep all interaction with people strictly online. I don't have to be around them physically to know whether I feel they are worth my time. I live in a town of 150k people. 149,994 people in this town can all go fuck themselves, myself included. There are 6 people that matter to me in this town. My best friend lives about an hour away, but I'm talking about my town specifically. Human interaction is nothing that is warranted. Recommended by people that don't know what they're talking about, yes. People who say it's recommended don't know what the real world is like. It's not healthy for the mind to be around people, and it's often not healthy for the body of others.
  2. I prefer it. If I can stop and rest, or if it just refills on its own, that makes newer games more enjoyable. Older games though, I prefer them to not regenerate. I want to have to find hearts, or faeries, or food, or whatever the hell the game uses to replenish your health or magic or whatever your needing to refill.
  3. To me it looks mo different than an Xbox controller. I mean seriously, does this not look like a blatant copy to you?
  4. It's my understanding that VR has to be played through a headset that would cover your eyes. It's also my understanding that a lot of it would require you to move around. After all the reports of people getting hurt when they were playing Pokemon Go, I just wonder whether VR would even be safe unless a person sets aside a room in their house to leave empty for them to play VR games. Now I know little to nothing about VR, so those more educated on the subject, please educate me. My ignorance is my issue here.
  5. When you take a drink of something which is more annoying to you? When it "goes down the wrong pipe" or when it goes up your nose? For me, it's when it goes up my nose. Especially if it's carbonated. Because then I have to pinch my nose shut until I find something to blow my nose on. Which is part of the reason I always keep a roll of toilet paper nearby. So which do you hate more?
  6. I would celebrate it if I had somewhere to celebrate it or someone to celebrate it with. @Rain Dew always spends the holidays with her parents, and the animosity between me and them keeps me from going. I can't promise that I wouldn't get violent. So I'm on my own. But it's no big deal to me. I can microwave something canned, and watch YouTube. I don't watch much TV anymore. But I'm a YouTube addict, so it's all good. But to those who are getting together with family/friends, have fun and eat an extra plate for me.
  7. It's definitely easier for me, due to how photosensitive I am. As for the changes, I have no complaints. They're not a whole new forum to learn the ropes on, so as long at that isn't the issue, I'm not all that worried about it. To be honest, I hadn't even noticed the changes until I saw this thread.
  8. I shop there a lot. I have gotten to know the employees really well on a customer basis, and their selection is better than anywhere around here. And if one store doesn't have a game/item you're looking for, they're always willing to see if any other stores in the area have it. I've personally never had a bad experience there.
  9. I have several games to mention, but I'll stick with just a few. NES - The Legend Of Zelda: This one is so easy. The bosses in almost every dungeon were the same dragon. There was no real challenge in any of the dungeons. The only challenge was finding a couple of them. The gameplay mechanics were simple and straightforward, but it was still enjoyable. But you also have to consider the hardware and its limitations. Zelda II The Adventure Of Link: This one was just as easy as the first. It was a bit annoying with not being able to wield items, but spells instead. The gameplay sucked, but it was still easy as hell. The only challenging part was getting the hammer. The red Daira was a pain ti get past since you're in such a tight space, but it is doable if you're fast enough. And Shadow Link? Pussy to the max. PS1 - Final Fantasy VIII: One of my absolute favorites. But aside from a few cryptic things, such as finding a few of the GF's and finding your way out of Caraway's mansion, the game is uber easy. The side missions add a hell of a lot, but they're nothing to worry about with one exception. The Queen Of Cards quest is infuriating as it's next to impossible unless you follow about a thousand cryptic steps to manipulate Triple Triad's rules to get it to play with only the rules you want. Multiple Nintendo Systems - Mario games: I can't pick one as they're all so simple and easy.
  10. I'm misanthropic. Which in itself also makes one an introvert. Games didn't do that to me. Games give me the only people I actually do like and want to spend time with. Otherwise, I stay home and as far away from people as I can get.
  11. I quit playing Skyrim. It was just too buggy for me. I tried it initially on PS3. It didn't give me the option of customizing my character, it wouldn't switch out of first person, and as soon as I got to the first town (don't remember the name) it completely glitched out. I'm talking broken game glitch. Later I tried it on both Switch and PS4. The same issues, but at least I was able to customize my character and put it in third person. Yet still it was nothing but glitches. Also the game is so damn cryptic with no actual direction that it just wasn't fun in any way to me. Which is weird, because it's in the genre that has always been my favorite. Fantasy. I'm going to give it a few more shots, but I'm not holding my breath on it running any better or enjoying it to a point that I keep playing it.
  12. I wish I had your metabolism. The only time experienced a serious weight loss was when I was in bootcamp. I went in weighing 170 and came out weighing 140. Thirty pounds in 3 months. Everyone in my platoon said I should have been a dblrat, but I wasn't.
  13. I wish I could dispute what you're saying, but I have to agree, much as I don't want to. One of the first things I noticed was that there wasn't a mention of Ms. Pac-Man anywhere. I also noticed that there wasn't a mention of Jr. Pac-Man either. It wasn't as big as his daddy, but was still a massive hit on Atari 2600. There's just too many unanswered questions and red flags at this point for me. But it would be nice to see Winky, Blinky, Inky, and Dot on the Switch.
  14. I've always loved Pac-Man. But if I'm being honest, while it looks enjoyable, it's giving off red flags as being nothing but a massive microtransaction. I would be wary of it. I would have to do a lot more research on the game, and hear what those who actually get it when it's released say on the matter.
  15. People tend to use things like vegetable oil to cook with these days. In my family we used lard. And everything tasted amazing. I would have grown up really heavy if it wasn't for living on a farm, taking a month off every summer to live rough in the woods, and riding bulls. But since then, I have gained a hell of a lot of weight simply because I'm unable to exercise. Even typing a message wears me out and causes me pain. So, to reiterate my previous statement: fuck the internet. I want my food. Also I'm a sucker for food. You feed me, and we're gonna be great friends.
  16. You could try this one: Or try one of your favorite animals. I have a few other antique emojis (or as they were called back then: emoticons/smilies) that I can upload if you're interested.
  17. The games I listed are the games I currently own.
  18. I've given several examples in the past, but I love the comical glitches that don't affect the game play. Like the ones in RDR2 - Uncle playing air banjo, guy flying across screen, etc. I welcome those.
  19. I remember it. Anyone who was anyone had one. I remember playing Pitfall, Frogger, and Pac-Man the most on it. I have several right now, that I still play on. Granted they're older than I am, but they're solid and work like a dream. Here's my current Atari game library: GP = Game Program (it's in the game title) The numbers in parenthesis () to the right of any titles are how many copies I have. 3 Tele Games Air-Sea Battle(2)(GP) Asteroids(2) Astroblast Backgammon(GP) Barnstorming Basketball(2) Battlezone Berzerk(3) Blackjack(GP) Bowling Breakout Bridge Canyon Bomber Centipede Circus Atari(2)(GP) Combat(4)(GP) Daemons To Diamonds Defender(2) Dig Dug Dodge 'Em(2) Donkey Kong(2) E.T. 20. Highly doubtful, since people aren't always able to be here at the same time to play. You would probably have to find a multiplayer kind of setup through Steam or something.
  21. A warrior has to be detached and numb. Go in, do what you have to do, then go home for dinner. If you think on it, you're just wasting your time. If you're sent to kill, then kill. If you're sent to die, then die.
  22. If it's just magic and not all the Hogwarts, Dumbledore, and Voldemort shit, then I'm all for the magic. If I have to live in that world though, then I'll take the money. I hate Harry Potter. So if I can cut all that out of the scenario, and just have those kind of magic powers, then I'm all in.
  23. I fully agree with you both. But if it's a glitch that is blocking you from moving forward on a small part, after having faced that part repeatedly, then I understand choosing to skip it also. Like the one I mentioned. It wouldn't let me hit the conductor to get him off me no matter how many times I tried. And it didn't skip anything more than that. I was at a point where you get the guy off you and then immediately stop the train. I hit skip, then it showed Arthur stopping the train. Badabing, badaboom. But if you're just too lazy to make your own progress, then @Empire said it perfectly. Why even own or bother playing the damn game?
