I don't think they even know what morality is. They know what mortality is because they have been intentionally killing people just for numbers for decades. But it has been more prevalent within these last 2 years. One of their biggest tactics (which never works BTW) is deflection. They try to mislead, distract, and blame the other guy. Sometimes with fancy words, sometimes not. Their favorite trick is misdirection. They show you a bird in one hand to try to distract you from the cash bribes they're taking from big corporations in the other. One thing that can't be ignored is that when they are doing something that they know is a felony (unfortunately not a death sentence one) then we get things like Pizzagate. They accuse us of doing EXACTLY what they themselves are doing. It's cowardly and pathetic, but it's a sad fact of the world we live in. And it doesn't just affect Americans. Ask @Shagger and @Crazycrab what it's doing to Scotland, and the UK in general. I'm sure they have a good insight into the entire EU as well, despite not being part of it anymore.

Nearly 80% of video game characters are male
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
In a nutshell, that's what I was getting at. Female leads got more popular when Tomb Raider came out. Yes there were female protagonist games where you play as a woman before Tomb Raider. But in my opinion, and from what I've seen, (correct me if I'm wrong) it was Tomb Raider that really got the ball rolling. I agree with you for the most part. I can't say there is anything I disagree with, but I do have a somewhat differing view and a bit of insight. I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community. Inclusion and invisibility is something we have fought for, for decades. We don't want to be seen as "gay people" or "transgender people". We just want to be seen as people. That said, it's a great leap towards that goal to have games like Tell Me Why that feature a transgender protagonist. But there is harm that comes with every game that features anyone from the LGBTQ+ community in a positive light. It brings out the conservatives and bigots, who intentionally look for us. It's like when the Westboro Baptist Church protests at the Renaissance Festival or a gay mans funeral shouting "God hates fags! All sodomites will burn in hell for your sick perversions" and other bullshit like that. It often puts under a spotlight, which singles us out for attacks, both verbal and physical. While I love playing games that put my community in a positive light, I am also very wary of buying them, even digitally online. If there is one bigot at Steam, that has a problem with me for buying >insert game< due to it having the LGBTQ+ community portrayed positively, then I could be in danger in many ways. We have to watch our backs more than a lot of people. We want to be included. Male, female, both, neither, gay, bi, lesbian, and anywhere else on the spectrum. We just don't want to be singled out for an attack. That's the only time when inclusion has a chance of being bad in any way. -
Worst thing you ever did to someone in a game?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
You would have had to look quick because afterwards he didn't have much of a face left to see. We still argued about games every time we were in earshot of each other and talking about gaming, but he never tried to pick a fight with me again. -
What makes you laugh uncontrollably while gaming?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Typically it's glitches, or just the luckiest thing in the world. Like I've talked about the time I was playing RDR2 and a guy went flying across the screen level with the roofs of the buildings all the way down the main street of Valentine. There was another that I fucking lost it on. I don't remember how it ended up happening, but for some reason Micah was behind my horse, and she shit on his head. I wish I had gotten it recorded, because I haven't laughed that hard in years. In all honesty, I can't even remember the last time I laughed that hard. -
Yale doctor uses video game to fight drug addiction
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Games like Hatred keep me from going off the deep end. There are other games where intoxicants are a core feature, and you see what happens when someone uses such item. But it doesn't go in depth like this game does. I think it's a good idea if they can figure out the right way to implement it so that it reaches a broader audience of kids. The after school just say no campaigns failed miserably. It's documented that it actually drove more kids to try drugs as opposed to dissuade them from it. Maybe this will have it's intended effect since it's delivered in video game form. -
Nearly 80% of video game characters are male
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I think one of the reasons that the vast majority of game characters are male is due to gaming history. In the early days of gaming, starting with the Atari in 1977, gaming was targeted at a male base. They knew that guys didn't want to play as a girl. That was too effeminate and would challenge their masculinity. The first game that ever featured a female lead was Ms Pac-Man. And all that was, was Pac-Man with a bow. Other than that, there was literally no difference in the two games. But at the same time, we had games like Custer's Revenge. It was nothing more than a rape simulator, as that was the goal of the game. Look it up if you don't believe me. And then you have to look at the beginning of games with female leads. The first Tomb Raider showed o woman with a 10" waist and tits bigger than her head. Every 17 year old boys fantasy woman. Thankfully they have gone more realistic with their depictions. We also got Barbie dolls more realistically designed as it gave an unrealistic standard of beauty to young girls. But that's getting off topic. So since in the early days gaming was targeted to a male base, that mentality has carried over to gaming today. Sure, the amount of games that feature female leads are a billion times more than they were in the beginning, they're still not anywhere near the amount of games with male leads. -
I'd like to be able to script my own responses for Arthur in RDR2. Like when Micah's being his normal asshole self, I often think of things I want to say to him in response, but can't because the conversation is prewritten. I only have the option of greeting or antagonizing someone when I initiate the conversation. Other than that, I have no control over what's said between everyone.

What games are most relevant to our times?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Honestly, given the state of everything, I would say that any horror game and any drama game would be a good fit. Especially if any of those games deal directly with disease outbreaks and people trying to survive through it. Games like Outlast would be a good fit for the horror game. And for the drama, I think Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice would be a good fit. They just relate to where the world is in ways that gamers typically wouldn't pick up on unless they stopped to think about it. I probably have change coming back, but anyway, that's my 2 cents. -
I searched every term I could think of to both narrow down, and open up the results, and I couldn't find anything that matched the details you gave. Is there anything else you can remember about the game? It's too bad this isn't an NES game, because then I could most likely just give you the title without having to even think about it for more than a couple seconds.

Too late. I gave up a very long time ago, before I was in the wheelchair for other reasons.

I'm 39. The disease is Muscular Dystrophy. In my case, advanced MD. There is no cure, as it's a genetic disease. Both a persons parents have to be carriers of a faulty gene for a person to have MD. There are medications to help try to manage the pain, but they're not always effective. I have some pain meds that I only take in extreme cases like oxycodone. I also have a medical marijuana card. This is a lifelong disease. In my case it was adult onset, as it wasn't even noticeable when I was a kid. It just got progressively worse over the years, to the point now that I'm wheelchair bound for the rest of my life.

I've decided that I'm going to delete any Skyrim data that I currently have, and completely restart everything, because even though I'm at the very beginning, I have absolutely no clue what the hell I'm supposed to be doing or where I'm going. I have it on PS4 and Switch. So I'm curious which of THESE TWO everyone would recommend. Don't say PC or Xbox or any other platform, because I'm not buying another copy of it. To restart from the very beginning, which system would have it better. I do have it on PS3, but that one was so damn buggy that it completely turned me off from the game for a very long time. I wasn't even able to customize my character with that one. So PS4 or Switch?

What's your favorite system to game on, and what's your favorite game? How old are you? What country are you from?

Has anyone else ever seen this? I've watched and rewatched this movie for years. The fact that it's a true story adds so much to it that it's just mind boggling. Ryan Gosling did such an amazing job that I just can't figure out how he was able to do it.

While I'm the most misanthropic bitch you'll ever find and truly don't care about human life, there is an exception to every rule. My moral compass will not allow a child to ever be harmed. I would take out the three baby killers in ways that would make even the children's parents say "Lay off, he's had enough". I may turn one (or all) of them into a conscious vegetable, but I would probably lose control and kill them.

Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. It would kill anything that was burning.

The only island I haven't been to is Cuba. I've been to every other island in the Caribbean.

I've beaten the shit out of a lot of people, and enjoyed it every time. But when it comes to that, there's something I have always said. I don't box, I fight. If that's confusing to anyone, it means that I don't just stand there throwing punches. I'll stab your ass. I'll crack you in the head with a hammer. I'll run your ass down with my truck then throw you in a pond. There are no rules in a fight. Anything goes. As for pain tolerance, mine is too high. I've taken some injuries and not felt them. Some that should have been lethal. I've been shot, stabbed, and jumped from behind by 4 cowards. They all knew they couldn't take me on from in front. So they came at me from behind me. One of them is dead, but unfortunately it wasn't by my hand. The other 3 I'm still looking for. I heard 2 of them are in prison. So I'm trying to find out where.

Would you rather eat healthily or exercise regularly?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I never gained weight. I stayed at about 170 for years. I actually lost 30 pounds in boot camp. I didn't start gaining weight until I got older.
