  1. The whole "influencer" obsession. What exactly is an influencer? Can they really influence someone so much that their life is irreversibly changed? If so then that person has one hell of a weak personality and will.
  2. That loyalty supersedes love. The story was in a book called Wolfskin by Juliette Mariller. It's a tale told by one of the characters of the story. It's about a man who was attacked (I'll call him Mike) on his way home and robbed. A passerby (I'll call him John) saw what was going on and jumped in to save Mike's life. John helped Mike up and got him back to the drinking hall he had left before getting attacked. They swore a blood oath to each other to never deny the other. Some years later Mike fell in love with a girl, but while he approved, the girls father wanted the to wait a year. So their love grew and they spent as much time together as they possibly could. They would sing together, and he told her she had the voice of a lark. One night John came to him needing him to fight. While he had been away, his family had gotten in a dispute over land ownership and had been attacked and were all killed by the other. So they armed up, and went to kill the entire other family. It turned out that the other family was that of the girl Mike had fallen in love with. He heard her singing from inside her house. Though it broke his heart, he kept his oath to John and helped in the slaughter of her and her family. While it changed him for the rest of his life, Mike kept his oath, and stood by John until he died. Loyalty. Not love.
  3. My pitbull always wants to argue about getting out of bed in the morning, but she doesn't cry like that. Here's some memes I have saved. It'll take a couple posts.
  4. Probably landscaping. Working out in 95° to 100° days (35°C-38°C) was almost unbearable. And there was no actual break. We were working mostly in the richest part of town, and they were more than entitled. They made impossible demands. One place they wanted a 2 acre yard done in one day. We didn't have the manpower to get that much done. We would have had to have a minimum of 50 men working there and going beyond busting their ass to get it done. That would have been from dawn to past dusk even with that many men. I finally had to quit when I got into a bunch of poison ivy. I was covered with it from elbow to fingertip. It was so bad that I had to go to the hospital. They put me on steroids to get rid of it. I also used my family secret to cure it as well. But that was the hardest I've ever worked at a paying job. For a nonpaying job, it would have been at home working with our stock.
  5. I swear I'm not lying about this one. I don't know if his parents were trying to be funny, or if they didn't realize what they were doing. There's an auto dealer here that is Head Motor Company. Well one of the owners had a son. They named him Richard. So the boys name is Richard Head. And what is so wrong with that you may be asking? Well a shortened way to say Richard is Dick. So the boys name is Dick Head. I worked at HMC detailing cars, and to this day I still don't know whether to laugh, cry, or just feel sorry for the poor guy.
  6. My powerchair. I spend the majority of my time in it, and if it was playing music all the time, I would end up pushing it off a cliff and hoping someone on a 4 wheeler came by soon.
  7. Don't get me started on LaVeyan Satanism. They are a hierarchical hocus pocus group that worship Anton LaVey. They try to say they are atheist, but they're not. I've interacted with hundreds of them. They believe "might is right" which is take what you can and fuck the ones you rob. Those of us in TST believe "right is might" which is give what you can and help the ones in need. We've done a lot of charitable works. Equality is a major endeavor that we're working towards. Not just religious equality, but for everyone. Racial, LGBTQ+, nationality, creed, political, and everywhere else that I am forgetting to point out. Satanism is one of the healthiest religions. So many of the religions that claim to be based on "love" are anything but. They have started the majority of religious wars, and murdered the most people in the name of whatever deity they worship. That's not a loving religion. Though he was an ass, I do like something Gandhi said: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ."
  8. I dropped out midway into my junior year of HS due to the bullying. It was either that, or a precursor to Columbine. The school district actually gave me a diploma to try to ensure that I never tried to come back. When I was 2 my uncle tried to kill me. He threw me into an above ground pool, said "Swim or die" and walked away. I don't remember how I got out of the pool, but I went to my sperm donor (aka father) crying. He hit me in the head with a board and called me a pussy. I woke up the next day in the dog house. Our dog had dragged me into her house to clean me up and protect me. No one had cared to look for me apparently. My female DNA match is 10 years older than me and my male DNA match is 13 years older than me. But they walk on water, so theirs is a completely different story. All in all, it was a pretty standard and normal childhood.
  9. Come on, no government would be that kind and lenient to its people if it was losing power over them.
  10. I don’t know whether to look forward to or dread January. That’s when I turn 40. I wanted to be dead more than 15 years ago. To me 25 was too old. I tried taking care of it myself (many times) but obviously failed.
  11. Disability vans are custom made on a different line than the rest of a car company’s catalog. They are built completely different in the body and frame to allow for the ramp and interior space for the chair. Especially if the ramp is mechanical. A brand new one runs for roughly $75k on average. A used one from an owner typically runs $7k-$10k and that’s if you’re lucky. A used one from a dealer typically runs in the $40k range. I live in mid Missouri, and drove almost to Chicago to get the one I have now. It was the only one I could find that was in my price range at the time. I can’t do lifts because I almost died the last time I used a lift. It has to be a ramp. So unless we take out a mortgage on the house, a brand new van is out of the question. Needing one of these bastards is hell. Unless Elon Musk decides to take pity on you. But how often has that happened?
  12. Actually they’re mostly made by the person posting the video. They grab random stuff around their home to make the stuff in the box seem as creepy as possible. It’s nothing but clickbait, and pretty pathetic clickbait at that.
  13. Before much longer, everything will be antibiotic resistant. Penicillin was a wonderful discovery that saved millions of lives. But with how diseases and infections are going, penicillin is all but useless anymore. I've done 3 rounds of antibiotics for the situation in my armpit, none of which had any effect. Illness of every type and shape are laughing at antibiotics now.
  14. I think it's the pineapple. I asked the same question when I worked at Pizza Hut. They didn't have a real answer.
  15. The DW is good for a laugh. I was a regular at a forum down there a few years ago, and we were all cracking up about the myth that was floating around on the surface web about DW mystery boxes. The fictitious stories of people buying a box of unknown shit on the DW and having it shipped to their house. Seriously? That's one of the best and worst hoaxes any of us had ever seen. It beat out flat earth by a mile.
  16. There are a lot of games in a franchise that are completely unique from each other. Final Fantasy is a prime example of this. The Legend Of Zelda is another good example. But what games do you think should have their own direct sequel, in the same world, with the same characters, on the same map? My first vote goes straight to FF8. I would love to see a FF8-2. That would be awesome to see what they're fighting against, and where the characters have gone since defeating Ultimecia. One that I would like to see, though it would technically be the 4th release in the series (third if you don't count Red Dead Revolver), is a complete prequel to RDR2. One that starts before the Blackwater incident, and before they flee into the mountains and the events of RDR2. Something the shows us characters like Jenny, Davey, and Mac. Something that shows how everyone ended up together, and what they were doing prior to the gang. Most were street kids. Abigail we know, was a whore. Until she met the gang. There is no proof that John is Jack's father since she slept with all the men in the gang. Not sure what she charged for her "services". But she labeled him as the father. That's why he ran off for a year. She freaked him the fuck out. God damnit, I'm rambling off topic again. I'll shut up now so this topic can get back on topic.
  17. I would say Sonic & Knuckles. It was probably the best in my inane opinion.
  18. The biggest cities we have are St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield. Granted they don't compare to cities like Dallas and Houston. They're about half the size actually. But the ones that have guns and are the problem had them all along anyway. Now it's easier for civilians to have a weapon through legal means to defend themselves if necessary. Nobody wants to get shot. How tough you think you are is irrelevant.
  19. I have to disagree. One of my personal tenets is that you defend yourself viciously and without mercy. If that includes doxing him, and putting both him and his family at risk due to him attacking my community, then so be it.
