What is the most interesting or unusual dream you have ever had?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I dream once a year. Always on June 20th, and always the same dream. It started when I was 14. The dream starts out with me looking down a street that turns to my right. Judging by the clothing and building design, it looks like everything is somewhere around the 1700's. After a few seconds, I see a young boy come running around the corner. Through the rest of the dream I'm looking through his eyes. I look over my shoulder and 3 men on horseback in red coats come riding up after me. I start running harder and duck into a cemetery and hide behind one of the tombstones. I'm sitting there catching my breath and listening to them call back and forth to each other trying to find me. Then one rides up and sees me. He yells to his friends that he found me. He dismounts his horse, steps in front of me, draws his pistol, cocks it... and then I wake up. I've tried staying up to avoid the dream, but at 2:30AM I go unconscious and fall asleep for exactly 1 hour. I can't avoid the dream no matter how much I try. I hate it. it always freaks me out. I've tried a million different things to make me stop having the dream but nothing works. -
He has no legal ability to do that. Medical records are private by law, and can only be disclosed by the patient in question. And universities don't require medical exams to enroll. So no matter what, he could be removed from office and imprisoned for this attempt. Assuming he actually does get the records. Also he would be facing an enormous civil lawsuit from all the students he violated. He would never recover from it. His political dreams would be crushed, and he wouldn't even be able to get a job in fast food, or shoveling snow. Everyone would know what kind of bigot he is, and no one would want to work with him. Something needs to be done, and done now.

I totally get you. As I've said, I have 125 DDL's on my Switch. I've played maybe 10 of them. I keep getting games that look like a lot of fun, and are right up my alley. But after I buy them and they download, I tend to forget that I even have them, or what they're even about.

Which gaming franchise has the most dedicated fanbase and why?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
I considered COD, but I honestly see more talk about Elder Scrolls than COD. I know many of the COD gamers are insanely defensive of the game and refuse to tolerate anyone talking shit about it. But ultimately I chose ES. -
While we do have a hell of a lot of movies, I can guarantee that you have nowhere near as many movies as I do games.

You missed more than you may think at first glance. Back then developers were taking chances and releasing completely unique games. Instead of carbon copy sequels to games. Nowhere else will you find games like : A Boy And His Blob Clash At Daemonhead Hydlide Street Fighter 2010 Yo! Noid Astynax Battletoads Ducktales Legacy Of The Wizard These are all games that I have enjoyed for more than 30 years. Some for almost 40 years. So if you want unique, truly unique, then you should definitely invest in an NES.

I would have to say The Elder Scrolls. It's fans have always played the hell out of every entry. Especially Skyrim. Their fanbase for these games is monumental. At least from what I can see. -
Remedy Games want to make a new game each year starting in 2023
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
A new game every year sounds good on the surface, but my hesitation would come from wondering if they released broken or rushed games to live up to that promise. Trying to go with a deadline like that could be a huge problem. I would rather they just announce games they're working on, but give no release dates. Like I said, sounds nice, but highly impractical. -
Ok, I don't know what bloatware is, but I would eliminate micro transactions from games. Last month I was playing a couple games, and before I knew it I had spent $50 on the games from the micro transactions. When I realized how much I had spent on them, I deleted the games. Now any game in those styles I won't even consider downloading, much less playing. Which is sad, because I truly did enjoy the games.

After experiencing it several times myself, and reading about it online, I just quit playing on the damn thing. The RROD screwed up so many games and the save files. It just wasn't worth the headache in my opinion. Did anyone else avoid the system due to the RROD?

There were a couple rechargeable battery packs, but they weren't released everywhere and didn't sell very well due to how expensive they were. People opted to just use plain old batteries, as it was cheaper to just buy packs of batteries than pay for the battery pack. At least in one shot. The pack cost almost as much as they system itself, and usually didn't hold much of a charge. In actuality, regular batteries gave you more playing time, and lasted longer than the battery packs. They were pretty much useless. Especially at the price they cost.
