  1. To me, as a genre, fighting games haven't aged particularly well. In the beginning they were great. But over the years they've lost that charm. 30 characters with the same tired moves, over and over and over. It was old when it was new after 3 sequels. Don't get me wrong, I have several. But they're all on SNES, the era when the genre was introduced on home consoles. But after that, it just went south. A specific game would probably be a tie between Dr. Mario and Marble Madness. Amazing games when they came out. Everyone wanted them, and anyone who had them was instantly the most popular kid in school. Nowadays, few remember Dr. Mario, and I could probably count the number of people who even know of Marble Madness on one hand at this point. They didn't age well. A game that did age well to me will always be my all time favorite. Blaster Master. I can play it dawn to dusk day in, day out. It has only gotten better over the years. A series that has aged extremely well is obviously The Legend Of Zelda. No explanation needed.
  2. For the most part, I like a sword and a bow. I like the hand to hand combat style of the sword. It's actual combat to me instead of a sniper picking someone off from 1000 yards. The bow I like because it's a virtually silent projectile, and the ammunition is reusable. It requires more stealth than a gun does to be able to get in range and not alert your target that you're even in the vicinity. It just appeals to me more than a gun does in video games. It takes me to another time when people only had those options and fought with honor. The greatest insult back then was to kill a man with his own blade. Nowadays, there's not a lot of that mindset left when you can kill someone from so far away that you can't even tell if they have a beard or tits. I just don't see a lot of honor in modern fighting, and I saw plenty in the military.
  3. Is there a reason behind this? I fail to see a point or purpose as to why anyone should try to make you laugh. There are others who don’t smile or laugh. But we don’t try to offer meaningless brownie points to anyone who tries.
  4. I've actually never faced the issue. My controllers have always lasted forever, and for the most part worked perfectly. I have a couple here and there where a button or tow don't work. I just take them apart, to see what the problem is, and If I can't fix it, I box them until I can combine 2 or more non working controllers into one working controller.
  5. If it's a serious campaign I'm on, or goal I'm after, I'll sit literally all day without a break until I'm ready to go to bed that night. It happens on a very regular basis. I'm probably the only person on earth that can actually FORGET that they need to take a piss.
  6. Honestly, no. When i was a kid, I had no choice but to play single player games, because I had no one to play games with. Now that I'm an adult, not much has changed in that regard. Online gaming didn't exist when I was a kid. Partly because the internet didn't exist. There's a wild thought for ya. I've tried online gaming, but have never liked it. As for genre's my mind has opened to a lot of game styles that I never would have been interested in as a kid. For example I like a lot of spinoff and indie games nowadays, whereas when I was a kid I wouldn't have given them the time of day. I still stick mainly to fantasy games, but I've also gotten into a few racing games. Off road stuff a bit. Also I'm checking out a few modern era games. I've never liked them, but a few have caught my eye lately. Typically, I've never enjoyed games that have guns in them. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with guns. I own many. But in gaming, it just doesn't interest me at all.
  7. Little boy, I don't make empty threats. That would be pointless. Also I never threatened you. If you knew how to read, you would know that. I simply mentioned that someone I know is capable of certain things. There was never a comment that I was, or that matter, was not going to do anything. But your fear is showing. This is an open forum dumbass. I can comment on whatever I want. But the narcissism of you three is so fragile that you can't handle people with a different opinion. You go off the deep end when they do. Especially when they give facts. That's truly pathetic. All three of you are. God forbid any of you have kids, as they'll undoubtedly turn out just as moronic and completely fucked up as you are.
  8. Did you forget that I’m part of a crew that creates video games? Part of that crew includes software scripters. Now what else is someone skilled with software writing abilities able to do? That’s right. Viruses. Annoying or devastating, either one. All it takes is a single phone call. Oh and by the way, it’s You’re not Your. Perhaps you should study English before try to fight someone who actually speaks it.
  9. You are either extremely ballsy or extremely stupid to give me an order. I'm leaning towards the latter.
  10. How often do you guys come across something that is completely pointless to the point you think the developers were drunk when they put it in the game? Anything at all? Item, landmark, character, building design, whatever. The first one that comes to mind for me Is 2 rooms in the castle in Zelda A Link To The Past. The pics below show what I'm talking about. I just want to know what, exactly, they were thinking when they wrote those rooms into the game. Was there a quota they had to meet? Please tell me there was, because this shit just doesn't make any sense.
  11. Can I just say another JP movie at all? If not I would probably say the one for the sci-fi channel, because they’re damn near the straight-to-dvd era as it is. What would scare you more.... coming face to face with the most evil daemon imaginable or being condemned to become that daemon?
  12. Gone With The Wind could never be remade. Nor could Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Edward Scissorhands, Highlander, and The Nightmare Before Christmas just to name a few.
  13. A comedy to me is any slasher flick.
  14. 1) Popeyes 2) Hardees 3) Taco Bell 4) Sonic 5) Subway 6) Burger King 7) McDonalds 8.) KFC These are in no particular order.
  15. It would all depend on the task at hand. Sometimes range fighting is the way to go, and others running in, swords drawn is what needs to happen.
  16. 3+ hours is what it takes for me. If I’m gonna get a game going, it needs to be something that is going to require a lot of time to finish.
  17. I watched wrestling from the first Wrestlemania up through Wrestlemania 24. So don't ever tell me I know nothing about it. I was a wrestler in my younger days, both on the school team, and in the ring. I know the drama, I know the injuries. A suplex into the mat hurts. I gave and received a lot of them. I know the ins and outs of pro style wrestling. And I'm not going to leave this thread because you don't like hearing the truth. I respect hockey but not basketball. By your logic I'm not allowed to be a fan of one and not the other because the lack of respect makes me a hypocrite. And just so you know, I was obsessed with basketball in my preteens, so I know about it too. Are you ready to go fuck yourself yet, or do you need help with that too?
  18. By that logic I’m not allowed to be a hockey fan because I don’t like basketball. And you want to bitch about hypocrisy? You’re acting like the only valid viewpoint on fake is your own. The next time you say the word “hypocrite”, you had better be looking in the mirror.
  19. If you read my post, you will see that I mentioned that to explain what it was that made me quit watching it.
  20. Also if that concrete block is their true design for the Series X, they need to go back to the drawing board, and come up with a whole new design. Under no circumstance would I ever allow such a monstrosity in my house. It's sickening to even look at in pictures. And if that is what they're going for I will take absolutely everything Xbox in my house and throw it in the trash. Call it a form of protest if that makes it any easier for you.
  21. I thought that immediately. I'm an obsessive fan of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp both. Tim's imagination and creative directions are amazing. All you have to do is look at The Nightmare Before Christmas to see that. I know Henry Selick directed it, but it was still Tim Burtons vision. As for the games, I'm wanting something really creepy as hell. Something realistic, that could be nightmare inducing.
  22. So they're nothing but a bunch of actors. Thank you for making my point.
