When I was inside, we all had a job. We had a few hours in the yard, about 40 minutes at chow, and the majority of the day at the job they assigned us, and a lot of time in our cells. Virtually anything that wasn't "bought" at the prison was contraband, and got you sent to the hole for a minimum of 3 days. And it doesn't matter who you are or what you're in for, you're gonna go to the hole at least once. It's like hockey players. They're gonna spend time in the penalty box, there's no way around it. It's a pretty full day.

The future of gaming is me plugging in my NES.

Another couple games that were a blast to play were Operation Weather Disaster and Skytrip USA. They were educational, but more than fun. Both were PC games.

Mario Is Missing was always my favorite educational game. When I played it on SNES, I didn't even know it was an educational game. I just thought it was fun as hell.

LOL, I actually live in Columbia. Not the video game Columbia, but that's the name of the town I live in. And you're right. You wouldn't want to live here.
For me it would be the world of Final Fantasy 8. The mixture of fantasy and science draws me in.

I like this place because it's open to everything video game related. Also another selling point for me, is that it's a fairly small community. There's not 100,000 people going nuts here, so the conversations carry more weight and stay more interesting. The site is pretty lenient towards letting people be people (for example, language use), so it's a relaxing place to talk.

My body can't take hot temperatures. If it gets much above 65, that's enough heat to make me pass out. Autumn is my favorite season, but I typically do best in winter. During summer I have to have the AC on full blast, and typically can't leave my house very often. Even during the winter I have the AC on a lot.
And no, you smart asses, I'm not a penguin.

Postal 2 is a good one. Next to impossible to find, but if you can it's worth the money.
I don't know if it counts, but Hexen is another one. If you're not familiar with it, think Doom turned medieval. On the N64, it's a blast.

I don't have a specific title to give, but anything to do with astronomy or the paranormal, with the exception of those goofy ass ghost hunter shows. The only one of those I ever enjoyed was Haunted Collector.

I hated Wind Waker. It was just way too cartooney for me. I wasn't a big fan of Twilight Princess, and never even counted Skyward Sword as an actual Zelda game. I haven't played BOTW yet either so I can't consider it on this list. Majoras Mask was good. A pain in the ass, but still good. Ocarina was a really well designed game, and loads of fun. Link To The Past is high on my list as one of the best. Zelda 2 is probably the most difficult in the entire series, and doesn't really keep to the story. But my all time favorite is the one that got the series started. The original Legend Of Zelda on the NES. It was the best they have made. There are other titles in the series that are great, but they just can't match the original. In my opinion no Zelda title ever has or will match or even rival the original.

Two classics I recommend everyone should read are Pride & Prejudice and War And Peace. I haven't been able to find an unabridged copy in any of the book stores around here, and so far the ones I've found online have been a bit out of my price range. It's been so long since I've read either one, that I honestly don't remember much of either story. One writer I do recommend Ayn Rand. Her writings may controversial to some, but a lot of it is intellectually thought provoking.

I can't say I'm familiar with Vonnegut. Actually I've never heard the name. Steinbeck on the other hand wrote some beautiful stories. I think Of Mice And Men was probably his best. The Grapes Of Wrath was also an excellent story. He's up towards the top of the list or writers I would recommend. He's there alongside Hemingway, King, and Faulkner.

In my personal opinion, Poe is the greatest writer in American history, and also one of the best in the world. His insight into the human mind was something that hasn't been equaled before or since. Especially insanity and misery. He wrote from the darkest depths of his own soul, and created some of the greatest works ever. One of my most prized possessions is a book with all of his works. I have the same with all of Shakespeare's works. If you like sonnets, check out Shakespeare's sonnet 141. It's a great one.

Right now I'm reading Othello. It's a great story. The last one of Shakespeare's plays I read was MacBeth. I loved it. I'm also reading a lot of Poe. The Raven aside, The Bells is one of his best poems. And The Cask Of Amontillado is his absolute best story. The Fall Of The House Of Usher is another great.
I also read The Illiad recently. It was a great read too.

I just want to know what exactly would happen to anyone who climbed that 150' ice wall at the edge. Would they be magically transported to the other side, or would they fall off into outer space?

I play dual flute. It's really easy to learn and makes really beautiful music. I learned in about 2 months and enjoy the hell out of it. Here's a pic to show you what instrument I'm talking about.

I hated Primal Rage. All you can do is fart and puke at each other. LAME.
Myself I recommend Mortal Kombat. I would also say Killer Instinct. The SNES game offers a tournament selection so you can have everyone fighting each other. If you want something more modern I say Soul Caliber 2.

Darkstone was sweet as hell, but I could never get the whole game to run. I could play to about 10 minutes in and the game would quit working. I bought several copies and tried it on more than one computer and had the same problem.

I don't know if this really counts as an enemy or not, but I can't bring myself to kill the Pupu alien in Final Fantasy 8. He's just too sad and too cute to kill.

The Legend Of Zelda, or Final Fantasy 8. I love the medieval setting of Zelda, but the mix of mythological and scientific of FF8 kinda puts it over the top for me. I always thought I would love to live in Fishermans Horizon. All in all, I just love the whole thing. But if we're talking Zelda, I would want either A Link To the Past or Ocarina Of Time. Either version of Hyrule would be just fine for me.

    Ave all,
I am The Blackangel. I'm 36, live in Missouri USA, and have been in love with video games for about 30 years. While I do play just a touch of more modern games (God Of War nut here), I stick to the old cartridge systems. NES, SNES, N64, and Sega Genesis mostly. Portable I play GameBoy. I personally hated both Gamecube and the Wii. They did have a couple decent games respectively, but in general I just didn't want anything to do with either. Also I have always hated Xbox.
What I like pretty much sticks to the fantasy realm. Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, that type of thing. I only have 3 PS1 games. Monopoly, FF8, and Castlevania Symphony Of The Night. I love FF8 and Castlevania. Both beautiful games. Aside from a few of the early Final Fantasy games, FF8 is the only one I have found that I like. I hated FF7, and FF9 was way too cartooney for me. FF-X and X2 aren't bad. I've never had any experiences with FF11 or FF12. FF13 was an abomination. I hate online gaming, so I'm not on FF14. FF15 has some beautiful graphics, but I haven't played it much.
If it is of any interest to anyone I can include a list showing my video game library, at some point. i have them all listed in alphabetical order and by system. Well over 100 titles.

If there is anything I left out that anyone is interested in, let me know and I will answer as best I can. I have always sucked at introductions, so I'm sure this is no exception.
