Visually it looks even better than Mario Kart 8, but I think that is the problem with most racing games, their online presence is always weak, except of course for Mario Kart.
It takes a while, I havent been playing it as mush as I did before, but its an awesome game, and with little girding you can unlock up to 2 legends for free. My only problem with the game is that the only cool skins are the legendary and those are really hard to come by.

My last game played was Red Dead Online, its really cool although everything in the market is super expensive and resources are hard to obtain but other than that I like that it has its own story mode. Also I just finished Uncharted 2 among thieves, really cool game, I'm probably going to start and finish Uncharted 3 this week.

Decided to play one last galaxy before it's time for Federations to release... which, honestly, likely won't be for another couple of months yet.
Anyway, I've decided to give playing a regular hive mind a try. Last time I played a hive mind, it was a Devouring Swarm, the most powerful type of hive, and necessarily so as it is a genocidal variant that does not have any diplomatic options at all. However, I seem to have gotten the worst neighbors in history, as both my neighboring empires are Fanatical Purifiers. This is gonna be an eventful playthrough... 😂

Was just knocking out some Grand Prix races in the single player mode. Last I checked, the online mode is a ghost town... It's honestly quite saddening, because I think it'd be great fun to race online in teams. The game's not even a whole year old yet, how did it die so fast...?

Salvaged some really powerful 'Mechs in the campaign, and I've nearly maxed out my most elite MechWarriors. Gonna be rotating them out for newer pilots as I do so.
One of the 'Mechs I salvaged was a Thunderbolt TDR-5S. The thing reminds me of the Clans' Summoner OmniMech to a degree, which probably won't be seen in the game until the timeline advances to around 3050, when Operation REVIVAL happens. Anyway, the Thunderbolt's stock loadout has a grievous design flaw; ammo in the center torso. For those who don't know, ammo explosions can happen if critical hits occur in an area where ammo is stored on a 'Mech. If this happens, the place the ammo was stored in is destroyed immediately. That's why you never, ever put ammo in the center torso area, as an ammo explosion there will kill the 'Mech immediately. So yeah, I moved that really quick, put it in one of the side torsos. I don't yet know if I'm gonna have a real opportunity to field this thing safely, but it's there in reserve for when I need it. 😄

Can you explain that?  To the best of my knowledge Kratos wasn't a real man, or even a part of ancient Greek mythology for that matter.

I beat it. I think the Wily Machine and Wily Capsule fights of this one were the easiest I’ve fought since Mega Man 10, which I beat forever ago as all three playable characters and haven’t played since.

I think I'm a culprit here of this though process. What I mean by this, is when you get to a point that you have certain games in your library, mainly your favorite ones that you play and replay all the time, that you lose interest in trying new games unless it's a part of a favorite series. But lets forget buying new editions to favorite series' for the moment. Does else anyone feel that they're in that situation? I have tons of games that have some of the best gamer reviews that I haven't played because I don't know if I want to get involved in something new. I think I have a stick-with-what-you-know attitude. For example, I have Skyrim. I've never once even put it in the machine. I've played maybe 10 minutes of The WItcher 3. These are all the games I have on PS3:
    Assassins Creed 1,2,3
    Bound By Flame
    Castlevania Lords Of Shadows 1,2
    Dantes Inferno
    Dark Kingdom
    Darksiders 1,2
    Dark Souls 1,2
    Demons Souls
    Devil May Cry 1,2,3,4
    Dishonored (2 Copies)
    Dragon Age II
    Dragon Age Inquisition Deluxe Edition
Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition (DA Origins, DA Origins Awakening)
    Dragons Dogma
    Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
    Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
    Fallen Angel Sacred II
Family Guy Back To The Multiverse
    Final Fantasy X, X2
God Of War 1,2,3, Chains Of Olympus, Ghost Of Sparta, Ascension
    Heavenly Sword
    Hunted: The Demons Forge
Infamous Collection (Infamous, Infamous2, Infamous: Festival Of Blood)
    Lair
    Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge
    Reckoning Kingdom Of Amalur
    Rise Of The Argonauts
    Risen 2 Dark Waters
    Risen 3 Titan Lords
South Park The Stick Of Truth
    Thief
    Two Worlds

Have I played any of them? A couple. Most of them I've never even played once. I had full intentions of playing them when I bought them. The same goes for the Xbox One and PS4 games I have. But I've never touched them. I don't know why. I think it's more of a fear of the unknown thing for me. Like I'm scared of trying something new. I spent the first 18 years of my life being beaten daily by my drunk bastard sperm donor (aka father), and told to the extreme how worthless I am by my narcissistic egg donor (aka mother). When that's your life you end up afraid of new things. So I don't know if I'm just being close minded, or if I'm truly afraid of trying something new. Or maybe I'm afraid of liking it if I do.
    Anyone else feel this way?

First time playing anything in the DOOM series at all, to be quite honest. I was enticed by the soundtrack more than anything else, honestly. Particularly "Rip & Tear".

Bought the latest expansion today, decided to take some of the 'Mechs included in it for a test run during Skirmish Mode against a lance I had built prior to acquiring said expansion. I lost, but only barely; the OpFor only had my custom Warhammer WHM-6R left, and all that was left of my lance was my custom Flea FLE-15. If any of my heavier 'Mechs were still in fighting shape by the end, I feel confident I could have beaten my old lance; however, I honestly feel the odds were stacked in said old lance's favor.
I'm still learning the best ways to modify 'Mechs in the game. It's not quite how it works in MechWarrior Online, and it's not even in the same ZIP code of familiarity as the MechWarrior 4 MechLabs, which I worked with for years whereas I have very little experience with MechWarrior Online's lab. 😂

Roblox has been expanding everywhere but steam and playstation. I can almost guarantee if they released it on PS4 or even the next gen consoles there player count would increase. For both Roblox and the platforms they aren't released on yet. I started playing in 2009 i fell inlove with sword fights on the heights. One of roblox OG game that now adays would probably have like 10 or 15 people playing. Those were the good days when we had Tix and didn't have to buy builders club.

Suffice to say... it didn't appeal to me, but I heard some people on a discord chat talking about and because the game was free I tried it out and.........

Well that's the thing, outside it being one of those interactive visual novels (another thing I usually can't stand) I can't really explain anything about without major spoilers so let's just say it NOT what you think and it's definitely worth checking out.  Especially since it's free!

Executor Akamia reacted to Shagger in Console vs PC: which do you usually prefer?
Sorry, but that's not entirely accurate.
Going back to the 80's, 90's and into the 2000's, PC 's (Personal Computers) were all designed as a utility for what you described as the "routine work" with some capacity for playing games on them. However, and very recently, PC's changed. And they changed because they had to.
The utilities these large, impractical and expensive devices became more accessible on newer devices like cheap laptops, tablet computers and phones. Even offices began using more efficient servers with connected workstations rathen than individual computers. The Utility PC, us pretty much dead.
Gaming PC'S, or at least as we know, are also comparatively new. Obviously, PC gaming itself is not new, but the technology that defines them today exsist because gaming is why and how PC's stayed relevant in this modern age. The utility capacity for PC's is not lost, so technically @skyfireisn't wrong, but it's not really an advantage anymore. The point is you don't need a gaming PC when a simple notebook or even tablet can do the utility work just as well, so that doesn't sell PC's anymore. The only thing traditional desktop computers still exist for in 2020 (and most of the previous decade) is gaming. The expensive, arbitrary luxury that is the Gaming PC.
It's also perfectly possible to stream from a console as well, so I really don't know you said that. And combine a simple laptop with a game's console and you would have the bases covered and it still cost less than a gaming rig, making PC gaming still more expensive.
@Crazycrabtouched on how PC game deals don't make the platform much more affordable these days either. It's just not as good as it used to be with digital console games having more competitive sales and the advantages of physical media, but there's another factor. People have lost the difference between cost and value. Value us defined buy the individual as to how much said product or service is worth to them, so each to their own to define it. Cost is simply what one parts with for that service, it's a simple fact that cannot be debated, and that's whare the PC has a problem.
Yes, it's very possible to draw better value out if the fact PC's do still have better game deals and the fact you don't pay to play online. However, you only get that extra value back a little bit each time you buy a game, so to offset the significantly higher cost of the hardware, that means buying a lot of games. That COSTS more money, even it it may offer more VALUE, see the difference? For someone who would buy a few AAA titles and exclusives a year, that would just not be worth it.
In conclusion, the PC is more expensive. By miles.

I'm sorry but that is simply not true.  PC's are FAR more expensive than consoles to buy and upgrade and you save next to nothing in the cost of buying games.

New releases are maybe £5 to £10 cheaper but useually not even that.  The deals you get Steam sales or whatever aren't any better than XBox Live or PSN either, not to mention used games and services like XBox Game Pass.  Even if the games were legitimately and consistently cheaper on PC in the current climate of publishers relaying more on recurrent user spending models like DLC and Microtransactions the upfront cost barely matters anyway.

In this day and age the only way that PC gaming is cheaper that consoles is if your pirating.

Plague of Shadows is literally just Plague Knight’s story mode. 😄 So if it’s Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove you have, you have access to all four available stories. And Shovel Knight: Showdown, depending on what platform you’re playing on.

Well I game mostly on PC these days and I use a controiller most of the time, In fact the only time I tend to use mouse and Keyboard is....

...yeah when I'm doing this!  I'm sure he means game like Total War, Command and Conquer, Anno and such.  The interface suits M/K so much better than a controller, I also like M/K for some flying and shooters games but for pretty much everthing else I use a controller.

There are some people that argue that in competitve games like First Person Shooters and Moba's that PC's are better becuase the mouse is more acuurate and with the right hardware you can get better framerates that you can do on consoles.  They might even be right but I've got a beastly PC and 144Hz G-Sync monitor and trust me, I still suck! 🤣
