Personally, I've started using Addy.io Email Alias services with custom domains for almost everything because if your email provider goes, you're most likely screwed while custom domain aliases with catch-all can be moved as you own the domain names. Do you use a Email Alias service?

Personally, I'm looking into buying a Google Pixel 7 Pro and possibly installing GrapheneOS on it. What's your next smartphone going to be?

I've had an Acer gaming laptop before and it lasted for about 5 years before it started to really act up. Acer laptops tend to be built really well and are easy to self-repair for minimal issues.

What are your favorite tools to convert videos?
killamch89 replied to DC's topic in Technology & Gadgets
Have this on my computer as well and yes, it truly is amazing. Also, it's pretty quick in doing most of the conversions seamlessly. -
The new Iphone has a new cooling system and a new Titanium frame and these two things are the likeliest cause of all the overheating.

I have a MSI gaming laptop that's from 2021. Even though I've been having issues with it the other day, it's still a beast. I'm also thinking of getting one of those mini pcs for everyday use and just use my MSI gaming laptop for dedicated gaming and other GPU intensive tasks.

Yeah. Most Apple devices have a 5 year period for OS updates and they won't be supported anymore.

I'm very wary of getting any of those Amazon smart devices because most of them are literally spying on you.

Not yet at least. They're planning to integrate AI into Windows in the coming years.

Centralized platforms get hacked on the daily and there's no insurance for your crypto plus what if that company goes down? Then your crypto also goes with it.

How much space is left on your consoles/HD's?

Have you thought about getting external storage for your devices? -
Davinci Resolve for me as well although I'm going to go with the paid subscription at some point.

Not much of a surprise really. Baldur's Gate more or less swept almost every category it got nominated for.

Does anyone even bother to watch streams on Steam?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I'm going to be honest, this is news to me but why would I? I already watch streams on YouTube, Twitch and Rumble to name a few. I'm not interested at all. -
Do you trust social media for video game rumours?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
It depends on who's the one relaying that information. Off the top of my head, Kotaku is probably one of if not the most reliable source of gaming news in the industry although they do get things wrong occasionally.- 26 replies

What game did you spend most of your time on in 2023?
killamch89 replied to svjiminfxv's topic in Gaming Forum
I'd have to say Skyrim and it's been like that since 2013 when the modding scene really took off for the Legendary Edition. There's also Mortal Kombat 1 and now Tekken 8. -
Think we'll see anything like amiibos and nfc toys again for gaming?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Amiibos are still relatively popular as you do have some Nintendo hardcore fans that are collecting/have collected most if not all of them. I think it's just the media noise that's died down about them. -
Do you create yourself or someone else with your custom characters?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
It can't be that bad bro. On a more serious note, I do tend to create lots of characters different from myself. In things like Fifa Pro Clubs, I normally make myself. -
I'm done buying codes from G2A, and you should too
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I used G2A for like one month in 2016 and I haven't touched it since. The keys there are usually obtained by scammers using stolen credit cards that then sell you the unsuspecting person that key. At some point, there'll be a chargeback on the credit card and that key will become null and void. -
Any games you liked growing up but now can't stand?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I used to play Runescape all the time in my teens and now, I can hardly stand it. I'm not sure when I developed such a huge disdain for it either. I like Tekken but I couldn't care less for the story. It's gone from powerful fighters to angels and demons and all kinds of bizarre stuff. -
Canceled Video Game Sequels That Never Happened
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Bro, how could you miss Half-Life 3? The promised sequel that will only remain as that. The Syphon Filter game is now being developed by Xbox. Remember they had that reveal sometime in the past 2-3 years. -
When my current dog, Rex was born ten years ago, he started exploring our backyard the day after he was born while being literally blind and deaf and just crawling around. I remembered coming home the day after he was born and couldn't find him and searched everywhere but had no success. I started to fear the worse and was planning to resume my search in the morning. A couple hours after that, I heard a puppy crying so I went back outside and checked the other side of the yard, he found shelter under some logs. What made this so hilarious is that he was literally one day old and his parents couldn't even access that part of the yard and every day up until the day he opened his eyes, I found him somewhere else in my yard. The scariest animal I've ever seen in person was the Siberian Tiger. His tiger growls sounded like an old school Chevy engine that was being revved and it was so loud! Did I mention his size?! I've seen Lions already and he was way bigger than those. What's the scariest animal you've ever seen in person?
