  1. I remember doing something like this when playing FFXII TZA when trying to decide what classes to assign to character. For those unfamilar with the system, here's a video I think should help you out. You see, it matters because certain bonus attributes and abilities can be accessed on these boards depending on whare you "purchase" the quickenings (Basically super abilities) and summons as well as it the boards sometimes sharing common licences that get redeemed on both of the licence boards you have chosen for a single character. This means by carefully choosing whare on you licence boards to purchase quickenings and summons and matching certain licence boards together with one character you can access parts on the licence boards you would otherwise not be able to access. If this sounds complicated, well, it's because it is and to really get the best out of this system takes serious research.
  2. I've moved the topic to "Video Games" as this isd centred around a specific title. Strongly enough, that would be my guess as well. The 2nd picture reminds of those sections you fly through to re-charge your energy supply.
  3. Can you explain what kind of mouse you're using (band, model) and what kind of surface are you're using your mouse on?
  4. Trick or treat! This time, I actually AM drinking...
  5. Yes. If I remember correctly Tracer was revealed to have a girlfriend in a Christmas edition of the Overwatch comic book a few years ago and people lost their shit over that too. It was stupid then and it's stupid now. I'e spoken about representation and inclusion a lot on this forum, but still don't understand why some people take such issue with it. It's not like the the straight, white, cisgender population are underrepresented or even misrepresented in entertainment media. True, LGBTQ+ representation is rarely strictly needed in a video game, but the fact is it shouldn't matter to these people, but it does matter to those groups because it makes them feel like they count, like they're respected and valued as much as anybody deserves. Fiction, or at least good and relevant fiction, reflects reality, so anyone who takes issue with LGBTQ+ representation in videos are not angry that it's being represented in thier fiction, they're angry that it's being represented in thier reality. Representation and inclusivity isn't "stifling creativity" as they inevitably claim either because they don't get to decide what counts as somebody else's creative liberty. That's a shield they hide behind because they don't like to admit thier own prejudices, even to themselves. It's just a load of stupid, easily offended, immature little boys usually and shamefully shaped as grown men being truly pathetic.
  6. Australia sounds like a good idea. Hospitable people, nice weather and there's a lot to learn and explore about that country. Plus if what I hear is true my trad is in high demand over there, so that might be a realistic possibility someday.
  7. Sorry, but @Crazycrab is right here. Thread titles are nice, but the words underneath them are important as well. If you can't be bothered to actually read threads, you have no business replying to them. We have had trouble here before with people just posting replies without care just add to the tally (Read about it in this thread here.), so I'm advising you to not follow in that example.
  8. As much as I would like to joke about how it's true Dennis Hopper (RIP) may not be able to breath fire but can still blow a lot of hot air, the truth is for me was he was one of the few things to like about that movie. Yes, like everything else the role was written terribly, but it was a lot of fun watching him try to make something memorable out of it.
  9. I'm not exactly sure why @Empire Of Sight felt it was necessary to bring it up, but having looked into it when I first saw that post yesterday it is apparently true. Obviously there will be no sharing of her work here on VGR and I haven't watched any of it myself (I only checked her bio), but anyone who is of legal age and is curious enough the internet is your oyster. Like I implied when I questioned why @Empire Of Sight brought it up in the first place, the fact she's an adult entertainer isn't important here and I personally don't judge her any differently. Right here and right now she's a human being who had an unfortunate and painful accident.
  10. Yes, in most games (especially if the setting is not like our world full of artificial lights), night-time is usually unrealistically bright, but I feel this is usually a deliberate thing done for practicalities sake. If it actually went pitch black like it does in real life during the night in an unlight area, you wouldn't be able to see anything. So no, it doesn't bother me, on the contrary I'm thankful for it.
  11. Back in the 90's that was an easy question to answer. Video games simply weren't taken seriously enough as an entertainment medium to expect much passion and effort in those movies. In more recent years, especially since the line between the two has gotten much more blurry, it's harder to say. This prick who deliberately made god awful video game movie adaptations to exploit German tax loop holes certainly didn't help... (That's Uwe Boll just in case you didn't know) But other than his so-called movies, films based on video game franchises are still very hit and miss. The interactive nature and player control over the stories in video games do make the storytelling experience quite different than in a traditional movie and thus difficult to adapt, but I still feel a skilled writer/director can make this work and doesn't account for the genre's failings. Honestly, and I know this might sound dumb, but I think movies are just too short. It's difficult to cram in all the events and especially the action of a game into something that's 2 hours long yet still allow for adequate pacing and atmosphere to build when you base it on a game that can take 20-30 hours or more to complete.
  12. My son being born. I know it's a clichéd answer, but it's a clichéd answer for a reason. No father holds any other moment closer to thier hearts.
  13. It's been a few days without anybody posting this on VGR, so I decided to share it. A new digitally animated movie based of the iconic Nintendo games is coming on April 7nth 2023. Here's the trailer... What I love is the aesthetics, very faithful to the games, but it still looks very much like a modern movie. Bowser (Or is it just King Kuppa?) in particular looks great, again faithful to the game but still quite intimidating. I am a little usure about Chris Pratt as Mario. Not that I envy him the task as finding the right balance between authenticity of the character and avoiding the stereotypical, borderline offensive way Mario has been portrayed in the past. That was always going to be very difficult if not impossible. Still, there is no way this film can be as bad as the 1993 live action film, and this does look great and I think will be very funny.
  14. Then why wouldn't you spend time in the Halo universe instead?
  15. To be honest, I hadn't heard of Fallout until Fallout 3 and didn't even play that game at launch, so it really doesn't feel that old nor nostalgic for me, but I've grown to love the franchise. I love it's setting, it's style and the dynamic stories it's told over the years. It's had heavy social/political mirroring, bug shagging madness and everything in between. All the games I've played have had problems, perfection is never your companion when you play Fallout, but each game develops thier charms and unique identities' through the flaws as much as the good stuff. Sometimes these games are infuriating and other times they're really going to thrill and entertain you, but no matter what, even at thier worst, they are never boring. Thank you, Fallout. Unless it Fallout 76, that game can suck a monkey's smelly thing.
  16. So given the choice to spend time in any video game universe you want with thousands of amazing and unique fantasy's to explore and you two would choose to spend time in the reality we actually live in...
  17. I'm not so sure. If I understand what they were actually doing here she would know that a fall during that activity (It looked like a padded baton battling contents of some sort) was likely, so she might have to take part responsibility for deciding to take part. More importantly she technically wasn't doing the padded baton contest at that moment. She was celebrating and did that massive star jump into the pit and that's what caused the injury. The powers that be at twichcon could say that they didn't tell her to do that and that the padding in the base of the pit was designed to protect people falling off the platforms, not for someone doing "acrobatics" of the platform. Because of that, to me her case for a lawsuit is far from solid.

    Xbox Museum

Anyway, did long into it only to find the message "Play more games to unlock my museum." Still, the thing is pretty cool, and impressive for a browser based interface with a fully 3D areas to explore and some cool articles to read. One more thing, can somebody more well versed on Xbox than me tell me what the hell this frying pan is about?

Moving this thread to the Video Games sub-forum as the topic is about a specific franchise.

Setting aside what is a complete lack of patience that you can't wait a few seconds for a webpage to load, I don't understand why you bothered to comment on this before you even checked out what it was. Why wouldn't you hold off on replying until you had the time to check it out more thoroughly? That's what I did. I wanted to check it out, but couldn't immediately remember my Microsoft password to acces the "My Museum" section, so I decided put it off until I could remember it. This from you, however, is about as pointless a reply to thread that I have ever seen. It's not like I expect you to kiss an OP's ass (in this case that being @Techno), but I think people who post on VGR deserve more from people who reply to thier threads than for people to say; How many am I going to have to tell you that if you have nothing to say, then say nothing until you do have something to say. Or perhaps this is deliberate, going back into post farming habit again? I don't know what your problem is, but between thought and action there is a realm of common sense begging for your acquaintance. Sorry about this @Techno, I'll come back to this thread with more on this when I've have more of a chance to check it out.
  21. Welcome to VGR. It looks like we're from a fairly similar place in terms of our history with gaming, so looking forward to getting to know you better.
  22. Trick or treat, but I'm afraid not much has changed...
  23. No, I hate football. I just found the first gif in the list that had something to do with a trophy.
