Lämmchen Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 My husband likes watching the show Ice Road Truckers. Have you caught an episode? It can get pretty intense but sometimes I think some of the danger has been amplified by the production crew.
The Blackangel Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 I've seen it, and it bored the shit out of me. I feel like the show would only appeal to other truckers anyway.
Darth Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 I used to watch it a bit when I was younger. It was quite interesting to see what dangerous routes they were taking. Haven't watched it a long time and honestly have no interest in returning to it. The danger is definitely amplified by the editing team.
killamch89 Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Have to agree with @The Blackangel, it was a pretty dull show if I must say so myself.
ZandraJoi Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 I looked this one up. I do remember watching a few episodes before. It started in 2007. I thought it was newer. Something must be going good as it's on its 11th season. It wasn't bad but I do agree, Hollywood tends to take things up many levels for the dramatic effect. I think if they would keep it real, create backstories so we can get to know the characters, that would be better.
Empire Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 I like the idea of the show very much and its Wages of Fear vibe, but the execution is just generally lacking, and I don't know what they can do to change it, really, aside from sabotaging trucks and the road itself to ratchet up the danger and drama.
