StaceyPowers
What are the most rewarding friendships portrayed in video games? For me, I would list mostly examples from Bioware games: Varric in Dragon Age 2, Dorian in Inquisition, Garrus in Mass Effect.
Kane99
Hmm, I'd say the story between Lee and Clementine in The Walking Dead. It's one of my favorite stories about friendship, the fact that it ends in such a depressing way really sells it even more. I think Niko and Roman Bellick as friends is great. Lets go bowling eh? The Blackangel
I would say Arthur and Lenny in RDR2. It shows a love that only sees two men who platonically care deeply about one another. There's a love there that few ever find. It's one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, both in games and IRL.
Empire
Firewatch. I think it might be one of the only games that handles friendship over age 30 in a way that feels very realistic. Without spoiling anything, you take the role of a person living at a fire tower for the summer and spend a lot of time just talking to someone else over walkie talkie. It really felt like that 30+ get-to-know-you stage where people have more stories, but more brokenness that comes out in doses.
