First celebrity crush?

Who was your first celebrity crush? I've never had one, honestly. I find some celebrities attractive, but I've never had a crush on them because I've always known they were beyond my realm.

Same - Also, the fact that a lot of them do plastic surgery just lessens the appeal for me.

I had one on Emma Watson when I was teenager 😛 .

However, I quickly grew out of "celebrity crushes", as I couldn't ever imagine myself being happy in such a relationship, where I'd always be known for being "so-and-so's partner", rather than for anything I'd done myself.

Emma Watson's the chick from the Harry Potter Films - right? Interesting choice - what drew you to her?

Yes she's the girl that played Hermione in the movies. As for what probably drew him to her, is that she's very beautiful.

As for me (and I'm ashamed to admit this) my first and only celebrity crush was Britney Spears. But I know she's not into girls so I never would have had any kind of chance.

Britney in the early 2000s was pretty good looking but then she just went off the rails. Made sort of a comeback in the late 2000's but then just disappeared completely.

She hit the scene when she was 16. She's only a month and a half older than I am. I was smitten with her. But like I said, she's not into girls. So I never had the chance. Luckily I lost all interest in her, and can't stand her shitty "music" these days. Actually, I absolutely despise 90's music. I hate all of it. There's not one single song from that decade that I can tolerate. All of it makes me want to puke. I might have been able to tolerate music up to 91 or 92. But that's ONLY because it might have had a little bit of 80's style influence. But I don't remember a single band from the 80's playing in the early to mid 90's except for Metallica and Bon Jovi.

I guess a combination of the character's intelligence, and just the fact that I was (and still am) a major Harry Potter fan!

I can't support anything related to Rowling. Especially when she said that child porn is better than being transgender.

Where exactly did she say that?

Don't get me wrong: I have no attachment to Rowling as a person, and if she did indeed say that, then it was absolutely despicable of her - but it's not something I've ever heard being attributed to her prior to today (and I also can't find it by looking it up myself).

It was several years ago in what she thought was a private conversation with a friend, who then leaked it. She fought tooth and nail to keep the news of her comment from spreading worldwide. Thus only a few people were privy to it. There was a newspaper somewhere who was going to run the story, but she threatened them with a lawsuit covering about 100 billion things. Since it was technically hearsay, they wouldn't be able to positively prove she said it, so defamation and libel were among her threats. She has the power and money to destroy almost anyone she wants. I heard that a lot of hush money was paid to keep it as secret as possible. But while you can pay someone to keep their mouth shut after the fact, you can't keep the populace from talking about it and spreading it the story.

It happened some years ago actually. I remembered hearing about it.

My first celebrity crush was Emma Watson! And is still is! I've watched a lot of her interviews and I really feel that she is a very genuine and kind hearted person. I just love her.

I always remember my first celebrity crush, it was back when I was around 8 years old and there used to be a TV show that was on during the evening around when we would eat dinner and one actor in it, Jesse Spencer was one I had a crush on. My mum always wondered why I enjoyed watching it and she soon clicked on 🙂
