Sometimes I feel like it become too much more than they can handle. If Square Enix wanted to make FF8 Remastered great like FF7, they'd have put a lot more time and effort into it. It's just that they knew that they'd make far more money off the FF7 remake and that's why they did such a good job with it.

If they are to listen to their fan base more, they will most likely be well informed about what the fans are looking up to seeing in the remake.

I agree about the not listening to fans part because we wouldn't get that crappy superhero junkyard of a game called Marvel's Avengers and the worst part is, they're planning to launch a Guardians Of The Galaxy Live-service looter-shooter game which clearly shows they haven't learned from their mistakes the first time.

It's pretty obvious that they are so hooked up on the money 💵 they make from these games that they are blinded to offering what we clamor for.

The part that I don't get is the fact that they lost $100s of millions of dollars thanks to Marvel's Avengers, so this even more surprising to me.

When they don't do things that are more important, they are bound to get caught up in between and suffer the consequences.

Funny story is that Square Enix almost went out of business until they came up with Final Fantasy. They seemed to have forgotten about that and the market isn't as forgiving.
