Herschie Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 These things are the best! I've tried using the Framemeister, and while it does help, nothing beats a good, old-fashioned CRT. A newer flatscreen is quite simply not an option for the Genesis or N64. I remember being at Best Buy in 2005 maxing out my credit card to get my hands on the HD TVs that were all the rage. Fast forward 14 years, and I'm combing Craigslist to find an old CRT. They're just so much better for classic gaming! killamch89 and DC 2
Alyxx Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 In most cases, this is how retro games are meant to be played. 😄
killamch89 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 The good ol' days of gaming...How long have you had those TVs because they are pretty hard to come by even on sites like craigslist?
The Blackangel Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I have a big Sony CRT TV that I’ve been trying to sell, but no one is buying. The TV is just too big for me. I need to find a smaller one.
skyfire Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 Some of my relatives have those old boxes from 80s and 90s. Some still continue to function if you have decent power supply and stabilizer at home.Â
kingpotato Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 I still have one big Philips CRT TV, I havent use it recently but I did use it for modded Wii to play retro games
skyfire Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 I think for me those days of the CRT are long gone.Â
