  1. Hasbro’s head of game studios, Dan Ayoub was recently interviewed where he stated that there is a really cool D&D game in the works, and it's inspired by what Baldur's Gate 3 was able to do. In turn they want to make their next D&D follow what Baldur's Gate 3 did right. The genre seemed to get better with the release of Baldur's Gate and Hasbro wants to continue to capitalize on the genre. And I'm sure fans of D&D would love to have more games in like with the quality Baldur's Gate put out there. Source - https://exputer.com/news/games/hasbro-game-baldurs-gate-3-footsteps/

  2. So true - the late 80's to the mid 2000s was the best era of hip hop/rap. It's gone steadily downhill since then. Nowadays, I'm turned off by mainstream hip-hop/rap. It's so boring, generic, talentless and mind-numbing.

  3. I just started watching the series with my wife this afternoon, we only watched the first episode so far so I scrolled past the majority of the post. We're both enjoying it so far and will definitely continue watching it! I never played the games before, but I know a little bit of the franchise so I see things here and there that make me go "oh look, there's Nuke Cola!"

  4. I thankfully never done this myself! Though if I did happen to drop it in the toilet after I flushed, I would try and use the rice treatment to get the water absorbed as much as possible. But if I dropped it like The Blackangel did, then too bad it's getting thrown away and I'll get a new one lol. I already do not like looking in the bowl after I take a shit, I don't know why it's just one of those things that weird me out so I just close the lid after taking a shit lol.

  5. Cyberpunk 2077 was a huge disappointment. I remembered Charles, my work colleague, who preordered that game still regretting tull today. I mean, that game made me never to trust preordering games again.

  6. I want forums to be the primary place people hang out online again. Discord really isn't a great place to get information and gather, because you still have to rely on outside websites like Google Docs to keep things organized. Plus it's difficult to locate old posts, at least now you can actually search for keywords in direct messages. Also I want frosted tips to come back in style too, I was never allowed to have them growing up as a kid lol.

  7. Mine is my complete in box copy of Knuckles Chaotix. My wife got me it for my birthday way back in 2010, long before the price of the game went up. She got it for $40 on Amazon of all places. According to price charting, the game goes for $254 complete. As a die hard Sonic fan, I will never sell this especially since Sega has yet to re-release the game on any other platform. (It was released on Gametap in 2007 but that's the only other time it's been re-released on any official platform.)

  8. When I was a teenager, my best friend and I went around and kicked over lights that some people had around their sidewalks late at night. The next day, there was a couple who drove around my neighborhood and happened to see me outside riding my bike and asked me if I knew who knocked their lights over. I said "No" and they thanked me and told me if I seen anything out of the ordinary to let them know. Needless to say we never got caught lol.

  10. That's so true. I remember those NHL games in the late 90's and it did feel like the skaters you controlled were slower for some reason.

  11. I can't say I ever played this game and it is the first time I am hearing about it. After seeing the video above for it thought it looks a lot of fun and something I would for sure play when I have the chance. Golf with Friends is a ton of fun. I have not played it in a while but given the chance and having some time, it is a game I could spend hours on playing with friends.

  12. My go-to hiccup cure is to drink lot of water. If it doesn't work, I take a heavy breath-in, hold for 10 seconds and then slowly release. Repeat it 5-10 times. And then it works.

  13. The worst I've seen was Hayden Christiansen as Anakin Skywalker. He destroyed the role and just made me sick. M. Night Shymalan is the worst director in cinema history. It doesn't matter who the actors are, his movies are career enders. The only movie he ever did that was even half decent was The Sixth Sense. Everything else is in the toilet with Adolf trump's integrity.

  14. This is like saying gaming is just for kids. It's not for everyone, but it is for someone. A lot of adults watch cartoons. And I don't mean only things like Family Guy or South Park. I still watch Popeye, Felix the Cat, He-Man, TMNT, Looney Tunes, and tons of others that I grew up on.

  16. I'm definitely a realist and I see the fake wizard before even walking the yellow brick road. I spit on the road. That makes me a realist. My whole name is realty vs adventure. It's my whole theme. My glass of half full and half empty is exactly reality vs adventure. It's a struggle between optimism and pessimism. Cynicism vs stoicism.

    The Prequels

No, not those prequels. Have you ever played a game with background lore which was as good as or better than the game's main story, and it made you want to see a prequel? If so, share yours here. A big one for me would be Final Fantasy X. I'd love to see S-E make a prequel set 1,000+ years before FFX, during the machina war between Zanarkand and Bevelle. Maybe Shuyin and Lenne could be the main characters, and we'd finally get to see Yu Yevon when he was a human, and the game could end with him performing the initial summoning of Sin. I think it would be fascinating to see Spira before Sin destroyed it. They could also explain the origins of the Al Bhed, which I'm curious about. A prequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn would also be great. I'd love to see a third-person shooter where you have to fight the Faro machine swarm to buy time for the Zero Dawn project to be completed.

  21. Never properly finished the GTA V single player campaign. Just didn't interest me enough to finish it. GTA Online very quickly took over and they kept it updated, so...I turned to that for a while until it got stale. It never quite resonated with me.

Could you please tell me what platform you playing this on and what controller this is? I just want to do a little troubleshooting as I've had a lot of experience with 3rd party controllers and know that there can be solutions to these issues that don't involve having to buy a new controller. On the contrary, I find that that doesn't really work on most occasions.

  24. I prefer to have short hair, it's easier to deal with and if my hair gets too long I would have to put it up in a man bun at work since I work in a factory and I don't want to do that lol. My father has long hair and I don't know how he deals with it, I know he would comb it constantly.

  25. That's the neat part, I don't lol. All my controllers and cords are shoved together in a shelf with pull out cubes. I need to get around to actually organizing everything, I just unpacked everything quite quickly after I moved into my house a couple years ago. I might finally get around to organizing everything this weekend, better late than never right?

He imprinted on my wife and I pretty quickly too, which is unusual for a cat. We also have a old cat named Gizmo, two cats are enough for my wife and I for now at least. 😛

  30. Source - https://www.gamespot.com/articles/resident-evil-9-could-be-an-open-world-game-report/1100-6522123/ There are rumors about the next Resident Evil game, and it looks like it could turn out to be an open-world game. I don't know if I would be for an open world RE game, but I think it could work. A lot of the games have had decent sized levels, but I don't think any of them have gone full on open world just yet. Could an RE game work as an open world game? Supposedly the recent Dragon's Dogma 2 used the RE engine to handle the open world. They also say that the RE engine is being used for the Monster Hunter Wild game. I think it could work, what about you?

    Best part of the day?

The best part of the day for me is when I must have finished everything that I'm supposed to do and I am now home relaxing and enjoying myself because nothing beats resting and having a good time for yourself.

  35. I bought FFX multiple times because, for reason, the disk for that particular PS2 game kept going wrong. Other PS2 disks got damaged from time to time and needed replacing, but nothing like as often as FFX did. I also bought the remaster for both PC and console, so count those and I must have bought the game on 5 or 6 separate occasions. Then there some of the usual suspects that launched again and again on new hardware with new updates like Skyrim, but I think my buy count for that sits at 4, which isn't bad.

  36. Personally, I'm a long way from convinced this would work. A player approaches an open world with ambition and a keenness to explore, not with the kind of apprehension and dread that one would associate with horror. Horror is told very much through the environment and that environment is meant to make you feel trapped and desperate. An open world is all about empowerment and opportunity. It's meant to make the player feel important and powerful, not what one want's to feel in horror game. To me, this more likely to work if Capcom focused less on the horror in this open world Resident Evil game and for the game to be like the more action orientated games in the series, like 4. The obvious problem with that is that at least a significant portion of the fanbase would be put off by that after seen some great horror games and remasters from the series in recent years. A Resident Evil open world has another more indigenous problem. Unlike other companies like Ubisoft or Bethesda, Capcom isn't exactly known for it's open worlds. When they have given it a go, it's been to mixed success. Sorry, but I do see Capcom making a mess of it, especially if they do try to squeeze the square block that is survival-horror into the round hole of an open world.

  37. Hmmm, do you think an open world RE would become Days Gone? I imagine an open world RE would be similar to the Evil Within series. Well, half open world I think. To test the waters. I highly doubt they will go full on open world.

  38. One of the reasons I like the RE series is that the games aren't open world and can be beaten in 12 hours or less. I'll definitely pass on this one.

  39. An open-world RE game could absolutely work. We have Dead By Daylight as a primary example. Days Gone is another example of a zombie-filled open-world game that was pretty successful.

  40. I never buy consoles day one, I usually wait a year or two for them to iron out the hardware/software bugs that inevitably occur with a new console launch. Also, neither of the last two console generations had any games at launch that I wanted to play, and there's no sense in buying a console if there's nothing worth playing on it. That said, my new strategy is to skip a generation and wait for the next one. Game development cycles are getting so long that most of the big series are skipping a generation anyhow. I'm fairly certain that Fallout 5, Elder Scrolls 6, Final Fantasy VII Part 3, Red Dead Redemption 3, Elden Ring 2, Horizon 3, and other games of that caliber are going to be launch titles for the PS6 and Xbox Y. I might pick up a cheap used PS5 to play Dragon's Dogma 2, but that's a big maybe as there's only 3-4 games on the console that I want.

  41. Considering Sony just stopped production of the PSVR2, they most likely see it as a failure and will soon announce that they're abandoning support for it, much like they did for the PS Vita. It sucks and it's a shame but, Sony's track record on handhelds or peripheral devices like this isn't very good.

  42. MGSV: The Phantom Pain. Nothing like spending hundreds of hours playing what was billed as the final chapter of Big Boss' saga, then finding out the character you're playing as isn't even Big Boss. That ending burned me so bad I haven't touched any of my MGS games since, and it used to be one of my favorite series. FFVII Remake. That game was so good until the last chapter where they brought in the multiverse BS that wasn't in the original game.

  45. I totally agree with you here - Everything is going digital and companies can at any moment end a game and you'll no longer have access to it because the servers have been shut down.

  46. If you're interested in emulation and want a way to play games on your phone, you could look into adding emulators. If it's a iPhone, you'll have to jailbreak it but if it's Android as long as you've got it connected to the internet to get the emulators and games you'll be fine to play it wherever and don't have to worry about being online.
    1 point
  47. Yeah, that's very correct. If it's all easy whenever you went looking, it's going to even get boring along the line and it's certainly going to lose it's value and vibe because anyone can get into the act and get great titles with ease. There wouldn't be fun in it that much.

  48. I already made my decision by buying a PS5 over everything else. I do have a decent gaming rig now though, but I got this back in April. I don't know anything about building a PC but honestly building your own PC is probably the best thing to do if you have the money and time. Not only will you be able to run the latest games, you can play a bunch of old games too via emulation if you're interested in that.

  49. I miss the days where gaming on consoles did not really cost anything. Like the earlier days of Nintendo before they started charging. That is another reason why I am primarily a PC gamer. I do own a PlayStation plus with the PlayStation five, but to be honest, I might let my PlayStation plus expire and not renew it. Considering that they are raising the prices up a fair amount.
