That's a good question. It is like stating the obvious, but forums basically introduce you to people who share common interests. But of course, my time on such communities wasn't always great, with trolls being a big issue from the jump. Giving how this Australian guy has been bothering me for years, I don't recommend using the same ID everywhere you post. But in the last several years, they have lost most of their activity. I don't get many responses to my threads any longer. I appreciate the people who do reply, though. When I found I was bored, I did occasionally return to GameFAQs, where the reception was surprisingly better, with plenty of replies being submitted the same day. The layout looks outdated, in my opinion, and you still get the odd user attempting to bait you to get mad. I tend to not reply to them, as you just aren't gonna be swaying their views. I can normally get the gist of why they act like that early on, when they say "Oh, you posted this with a new account" and whatnot. They like to say stuff in the hope you get caught off guard, so they can pass you off as being a liar or contradictive. When an opinion is supposed to be subjective, it shouldn't matter a toss what you post about, so as long as it's on point, and you aren't being a jerk.

Waiting on Resident Evil and Silent Hill news. Just because. I kind of get bored when the rumours dry up. ☺️

I bet it will be total shite from all the glitches, which is par for the course with 2K's products. I actually hate the way they position the camera during the matches. It should be close up. It's way too far away from the ring.

I suppose people are entitled to an opinion. Like the other day, I was in CeX and I said to the cashier that RE4 is overrated. And he said it is awesome. 😆 It's polarising to me, because I don't hate RE4, per se. But it did flush all the prior RE lore down the loo, arguably. It depends on your general outlook. But when they wrote off Umbrella in a lazy way, it felt incredibly ruined. The other games garnered a build up, which I felt went nowhere. Although there was this Wii shooter called The Umbrella Chronicles, that came out in 2007. So while it wasn't that amazing, it did rectify some of the stuff I'm referring to here. They at least revealed how Umbrella ended.

The Last of Us Part II gave many fans PTSD due to Joel being killed... then joy soon comes to the occasion. You then play as the killer, who then goes helping a kid who has a tribe you are gonna try to go to war with. And they want you to think she is a good person, because there is a flashback scene where her dad finds a zebra caught in razor wire. 🤕 Yeah. Some idiot on beyond3d.com had a go at me months ago. This is because I said things about Resident Evil and so on becoming rather woke with the pointless casting of actors who look nothing like the characters in question, merely because they are from X country, or due to where they are descended from. And that's seemingly you being a "racist" prat. But I was just pointing out how it stands out like a sore thumb, which most viewers can immediately notice. Like if a Mexican lady was suddenly played by an American or whatever, it's the same thing. And morons like that can quickly derail both the thread and your otherwise calm attitude. Because then you have to remind them that they are being a douche for implying such a thing.

This is common on eBay with a lot of things, such as Blu-rays that are out of print. This is when the supplier like the popular brands such as Arrow Video no longer distributes the film, after a wave of batches are sold off. So you will end up seeing £15 copies that are sealed, going for like £80 or whatever. And that's just ludicrous charging all that for a movie.

It depends on what trouble may arise from their presence. If you don't want to get involved in heated debates, it's best not to. It may turn vicious, fast. Me personally, I don't bother with Resident Evil banter any longer, just because I noticed airheads online would stick up for Capcom regardless. But I covered everything I felt I wanted to, or needed to cast up. So 2025 is gonna be the first year where I will only speak up to discuss things concerning a new game. I'm no longer going to spew about the remakes being lame, how they over at Capcom love to try to rip off other games, and so on. People can just see the archives. I reckon 95% of these users on the relatively few active forums left are truly not interested in what I posted in prior years, even though I just tried to spread awareness about, A, Capcom being greedy corporate scum. And B, well, the franchise is a mess because Capcom has awful writers penning nonsense for their games. Like that Lady D crap. That just isn't truly RE material in my eyes. Because RE to me was what I played in the late 90s up to 2005, with Umbrella being behind the viral outbreaks, and not this modern joke of a series that it ended up as.

Bloober Team are in my good books. Konami, though? Meh. I haven't a clue. Capcom seems to enjoy jumping all over the place. Even I have difficulty making sense of where it's all heading. RE7 just revealed Umbrella had returned, seemingly benevolent this time, with a blue logo. During RE8, Chris finds out the BSAA was using bioweapons. So he's supposed to go to Europe to investigate that, but so far, nothing has become of that cutscene. Then they jump ahead in time, showing Rosemary as a teenager. So none of it adds up. If you ask me, they're 'carrot dangling' to get people to keep buying the games. If they aren't going to fill in these holes, it's kind of pointless to have so many angles in the franchise that goes nowhere.
